The story takes place back in 1970's. In the city of Incheon, there lies a palace. The palace is like any other royal palaces.
A beautiful white ceramic fountain at threshold, groomed trees, flowers and bushes in the yard which perfectly compliments ivory white gigantic building of the castle in middle.
Currently, the palace is ruled by eldest heir of kim family, kim taehyung who is also a high class alpha. With his diligent hardwork and spontaneous decision making, the city ensues peaceful life. The royal household has a great respect for him.
Unfortunately, today palace isn't as cheerful and hustly as it used to be everyday. The reason is, eldest member of the family is counting last moments of his life. Due to his old age and sickness, situation has come to this. The said elder is none other than but kim Yashin, father of kim taehyung.
It's tuesday afternoon, palace holds a deafening silence as in one of the bedroom chamber, kim yashin laid on his bed. The significant members of the family surrounding him, eyes moist and hearts aching.
Kim yashin's soul awaiting for his son who has been called on his father's request. The footfalls soon heard in the gallery as shoes sole clattered on the marble floor before the big door got creaked open. The other members stepped aside, letting kim taehyung come forward.
Kim Taehyung
(He called, ascending his feets towards the bed and sitting down on the corner as he held his father's wrinkly hand)
The father weakly opened his eyes and gave his son a soft smile.
Kim Yashin
My son, I'm afraid that this is it.
Kim Yashin
(mutters in frail aged voice)
Kim Taehyung
What are you saying? You can't leave us just like that.
The son abruptly argued, albeit his protest didn't helped the tears forming in his eyes. Kim yashin let out a low chuckle, shaking his head.
Kim Yashin
I was lucky enough to be able to see my son and kids of my brothers and sisters all grown up and responsible.
Once this incurable sickness got him, old man himself told them all that he's willing to die and that he has seen plenty to have warming memories for himself, so if the life ends here, he wouldn't regret anything, everyone has to go one day afterall. He asked them all to prepare themselves beforehand coz one day or another this time was about to come. To their defeat, how could you put yourself together for the death of your loved ones? It's always difficult.
Kim Yashin
My son, there is one thing that I wanted to ask you for before I go.
Kim Yashin
(He managed to say, swallowing down his dry, blocking throat)
Taehyung sniffled, trying to contain himself as he wiped off his tears with the back of his hand, straighting up before he firmly took his father's hand into both of his palms.
Kim Taehyung
Yes father, tell me what is it?
Kim Yashin
Marry the son of my friend Jeon dae kyung. Before he got deceased, I made a promise to him to take his son as a bride of kim family. Hence your wife.
Kim Yashin
(Takes a pause and grunts)
Kim Yashin
But..I couldn't.. bring myself up to ask you for such a favour while I was alive, moreover you were young.
Kim Yashin
The promise has to be fulfilled and i'm passing it on to you. Take it as my last wish.
The father grunted, taking more uneven breaths after longer use of the words. Taehyung without thinking nodded.
Kim Taehyung
Your wish is my command. I promise you, I'll marry him.
Kim yashin tiredly smiled, trailing his eyes on everyone.
Kim Jimin
(Knight Jimin, the son of kim yashin's younger brother, he had tears in his eyes but despite of it he pulled off a smile for the elder staring at him, after his father, appa yashin was the only elderly warmth left to him)
Jung Mae hyo
(The first younger sister of kim yashin, had her eyes full of tears as well)
Jung Hoseok
(Son of Jung Mae hyo, considered him as a father too, he took a shaky breath in as tears dropped down his cheeks)
Jung Aleera
(Daughter of Jung Mae hyo, started to sob on her brother hobi's shoulder)
Min Yoongi
(Son of kim yashin's second younger sister, turned his head away hiding his tears coz if he had looked into appa yashin's eyes, he must have broke out into tears there on the spot and that's not how he wanted to say the last minute goodbye to him)
Kim Namjoon
(Kim namjoon, the royal advisor who was present their too, his generations has served the royal family, seeing his master in their last moment was enough to make him break into tears as well)
Kim yashin looked around at the legacy he was leaving behind, the legacy wasn't property, money or richness to him, the legacy was the younger generation which was standing riped infront of him making his chest grow proud as he smiled to himself.
Kim Yashin
I leave the next generation to you all. Take a good care of it.
He said as he looked at taehyung, consciousness losing and breathing becoming faint.
Kim Yashin
It's time for me to go my son....
Kim Taehyung
(Taehyung took a deep trembling breath in as tears brimmed into his eyes causing to fall down his face)
Kim Taehyung
Stay a bit longer.
Kim Taehyung
(He said holding his father's hand tighter)
Kim Yashin
I wish I could....but....this is a goodbye.
Those were the last words he said and closed his eyes, taking a shivery breath and the life left his body, his hand in son's palms going lifeless as well.
Kim Taehyung
(Taehyung called as his voice trailed off and tears of sadness blurred his vision)
Everyone else bursted into cries and sobs and the room got filled with sounds of sorrow.....

At night after mourning on his father's death and funeral, taehyung was sitting near the river which flows by outside the castle, the surface was pebbly and cold breeze coming from the river brushed through his uncladed chest, giving him goosebumps all over as he was still in the clothes he wore in funeral, a white shirt opened up till four buttons which he was too immersed in himself to care about and a pair of black pants. He didn't mind any of it as he gulped a beer of bottle in his hand, spending some time away from his responsibilities, with just himself and his father's memories.
It wasn't after a moment when jimin, hobi and yoongi silently came and sat beside him. None of them said anything as they too stared at the water, hearing the calming sounds of it which only added more sorrow to their misery, making them remember about the beloved fatherly figure they had just lost.
Taehyung passed them the bottle of bear, all of them took a gulp of it one by one, returning it back to taehyung again.
Kim Taehyung
About the marriage, find out information regarding jeon family and present them our proposal.
Kim Taehyung
If they say no, then make them agree anyhow.
Hearing his statement the boys snapped their heads at taehyung who didn't spare them a mere glance and continued to look in front with dead eyes.
Kim Jimin
Taehyung you don't need to be hasty.
Min Yoongi
Exactly, what's the hurry? Give yourself some time.
Jung Hoseok
I know, you want to fulfill appa yashin's wish as soon as possible but you have every right to recover from his death first.
Three of them bombarded taehyung with their concerful opinions, however, it didn't left any effect on stubborn his majesty. He understood his brothers worry but what has to be done, has to be done.
Kim Taehyung
The marriage date will be fixed for next week. I have already talked with eomma Mae hyo about it, being the only elder left in family, she needed to know about it first and she opposes no objection.
Kim Taehyung
Span of one week is enough to prepare myself mentally, same goes for the bride and i'm fine anyways.
Taehyung kept his points receiving defeating sighs from his brothers. The three of them had no choice but to agree with him.
Kim Jimin
Guess you've made up your mind pretty well.
Kim Jimin
(nods) Okay, there's no point in arguing with you then.
Jung Hoseok
I wish we had better words but just know that we are here.
Jung Hoseok
(Hobi said as he kept a warm hand on taehyung's shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze)
Min Yoongi
Yeah and that will never change.
Min Yoongi
(Yoongi added, peaking his head from hobi's side who was sitting between him and taehyung)
Taehyung just nodded in response while looking down as his heart got filled up to the brim, throat forming a lump and he let out a faint....
Kim Taehyung
Thank you, I hope for the same.
Hobi patted his back, giving him a soft smile and stood up along with yoongi. Meanwhile jimin remained seated.
Jung Hoseok
Alright, we'll let you have some time alone.
Min Yoongi
Jimin, aren't you coming?
Kim Jimin
I'll be right behind you guys.
Jimin replied, seeing both of them understandingly nodding before they walked away. Jimin fixed his eyes back on taehyung, he is the only one among them who is closest to him, they are like bestfriends from childhood. He pursed his lips not knowing what to say when taehyung didn't even looked at him.
Kim Jimin
Taehyung, I know how you feel like, just let it all out. You haven't even cried properly yet, you don't have to hold it in.
Jimin said assuring him, wrapping an arm around taehyung's shoulder. Taehyung clenched his jaw and tears brimmed into his eyes as he finally looked at jimin, taking a shaky breath and bursting into tears.
Jimin hugged him, feeling his shoulder getting wet as taehyung sobbed on it and he caressed his back, crying along with him.

Next day, in the morning taehyung was in his office situated within the palace, discussing important matters with namjoon. The suffering of loss was still there but as they say "the life must go on no matter what".
Kim Namjoon
I think we should increase our donation by 30% towards the public charity. What do you say, your majesty?
Kim Taehyung
Hmm, i was thinking the same and how many times do I have to tell you not to call me that, namjoon hyung.
Taehyung said, taking a glance above at namjoon through the glasses sitting on edge of his nose, receiving an apologetic chuckle from the elder.
Kim Namjoon
Forgive me, it slips out due to the habit.
Taehyung went back to read the papers laying open on his table. Suddenly the door got opened as jimin and hobi entered.
Jimin sang and hobi looked embarrassed, sharing a look with namjoon, both the males nodded and smiled, exchanging their greetings.
Kim Namjoon
Good morning, knight jimin.
Kim Namjoon
(Namjoon politely greeted him same with the words)
Jimin smiled back before he looked at taehyung who was already gawking at him, face stern and eyes questionable.
Kim Taehyung
What brings you here?
Kim Jimin
(Jimin groaned taking a deep breath)
Kim Jimin
C'mon, with new day comes a new life.
Kim Taehyung
And your point being?
Kim Jimin
I mean where is your good morning taehyung?
Taehyung sighed as he sat back against his swivel chair.
Kim Taehyung
Good morning jimin.
Kim Taehyung
(He said, knowing jimin would keep pestering him until he says it)

What is it now?
Kim Jimin
Oh yeah about that.

Well, you asked us to find out about jeon family. So, I did.

(Taehyung said cutting namjoon off as he again looked at jimin and hoseok)

They reside in Busan, it turns out that they belong to a noble family as well.
Jung Hoseok
When Mr.Dae Kyung passed away, he left his son behind with his step wife Rim sook.
Jung Hoseok
He also had a daughter and son with her too.

This morning, i had a call with them and presented our proposal as you said. Suprisingly enough, they've agreed for the marriage without any demands.
Kim Jimin
And that leaves us in your office. Now, what do you want us to do?

(Jimin questioned)

(Taehyung gave it a thought before speaking)

Hobi, i want you to go Busan and escort jeon family back here in Incheon.
Kim Taehyung
It'll be better if you leave right now, and yeah don't forget to take a thank you gift with you.
Hoseok nodded as he turned his heels around and walked out of the office. Taehyung then looked at jimin who was still standing there, taehyung didn't troubled himself to ask why as he picked up his pen and went back to working.
Kim Jimin
(snorts) C'mon, what do you want me to do?
Kim Taehyung
Nothing, your royal highness, you and yoongi are staying here and will prepare for their arrival.
Kim Taehyung
(Taehyung answered giving him a closed lip smile which soon faded away)
Kim Jimin
(Grins and shrugs) Fine with me.
Kim Jimin
You know what? It's actually good for you to get married.
Kim Jimin
It'll give you a break from your hectic schedule and then you might even learn how to smile.
Kim Jimin
(He mocked, a smile smearing his face as he leaned down to the level of desk)
Kim Jimin
Because love makes everything bloom.
Jimin whispered, on which namjoon couldn't hold back a chuckle. Whereas taehyung didn't flinch nor did his fingers stopped moving as he wrote something down. He picked up his eyes, just to see jimin's teasy smirk.
Kim Taehyung
Done? Now there's the door.
Taehyung said gesturing towards the office door. Jimin's smile grew wider as he looked at namjoon sharing a laugh with him before he fully stood up.
Kim Jimin
Atleast hear his name, it's jun-
Jimin was cutted off when the telephone on the table rang and taehyung picked it up.
Kim Taehyung
📞 Okay, send me the reports.
It was obviously a work call, taehyung kept the phone back, returning his focus back on the papers with more intensity this time and jimin opened his mouth again to complete his sentence.
Kim Taehyung
Jimin please, not right now. I'm in middle of something important.
Taehyung said as he passed the documents to namjoon and started studying an another pile of papers.
Jimin rolling his eyes, uttered and sauntered out of the office.

After receiving orders from taehyung, hoseok makes his way towards his chamber to do preperations for departure, he had already informed a guard to keep the car ready for him.
Reaching the room, he took out a pair of clothes from his closet and asked maid to pack it for him as he will be staying the night at jeons today.
Just when he gave himself few touches of cologne and looked at his satisfactory reflection in the mirror, setting his dark brown hairs cleanly on the parted hairline, his door got creaked open and he saw his sister aleera entering the room.
She had a rather disturbing look on her face but they are used to it, being a youngest child aleera has her tantrums. So, hobi just brushed it off and turned around facing her, taking that elderly calmed brother sigh when they try to figure out what's wrong with their younger sibling.
Jung Hoseok
Aleera, what is it?
(He gently asked)
Jung Aleera
Is taehyung really going to get married?
Jung Hoseok
(chuckles) Ofcourse he is, right now I'm leaving for Busan to bring jeon family here along with me.
Jung Hoseok
(Hoseok furrowed his brows at a dull response)
Jung Hoseok
Why do you sound so upset? Is there something that you wanna tell me?
Hobi asked with concern, taking a step forward to keep his hands on aleera's shoulders. Aleera pulled off a smile and shook her head, hoseok saw tears brimming in his eyes as she hugged her elder brother tighly.
Jung Aleera
(sniffles) It's nothing, I'm just missing appa yashin. That's all.
Jung Hoseok
(Hobi sadly smiled to himself, caressing aleera's hairs, a feeling of sorrow returning to his heart for a brief moment)
Jung Hoseok
I know, we all miss him but despite of it, you need to be happy. That's what he wanted afterall.
Jung Hoseok
(He comforted, cupping her face and wiping her tears off with his thumbs while softly smiling at her)
Aleera pulled back from a hug, eyes swelled and red, she nodded in agreement with the elder.
Jung Aleera
(sniffles) Yes, you should leave now otherwise you'll be late.
She said smiling at hobi before immediately exiting the room. Only if hoseok knew that there was an another reason of her tears as well, although she was genuinely sad about kim yashin's death because of her daughterly love towards him, however, there was another thing that she couldn't withstand and the feeling was eating her from the inside.

When hoseok was walking through the corridor, he was met with yoongi who also happen to come out of his chamber, both the males shared looks and gave each other a small smile.
Min Yoongi
You're leaving now?
Min Yoongi
(Yoongi asked as he walked along with hoseok)
He replied taking a good look at other's face, a scar beautifully sitting on yoongi left eye which he always adored coz he believed that it made him even more attractive. Yoongi never liked this flaw of him but hobi made him feel confident about it since the childhood.
Min Yoongi
When you'll be back then?
Jung Hoseok
I haven't even left yet.
Hoseok chuckled to which yoongi rolled his eyes as an excuse to avert them, a smirk forming on his lips.
Jung Hoseok
By tommorow's afternoon.
Hoseok told, chuckle already turning into a smile. Yoongi nodded, continuing to stare in the front to avoid hoseok's charming gaze.
Jung Hoseok
Why do you ask? Gonna miss me?
Hobi joked and snorted receiving a snicker from yoongi who nudged him at the shoulder saying....
When they both came downstairs, they found jimin waiting in the vestibule, wanting to bid his goodbye to hobi.
The three of them made their way out of the main door and car was all done to move. It was an atique car, used in 70's era, only wealthy people could afford such vehicle at that time otherwise many of the others used carriage and railway lines as the method of traveling.
Hobi turned around, giving jimin a hug, who hugged him as well, patting on his back.

Have a safe journey.

(He said and smiled before pulling apart and taking a step back)
Hoseok nodded, thanking him before fixing his eyes on yoongi. Yoongi is a kind of person who loves affection but won't ask for it, neither would be approach for it first, it's very rare when he takes a initiative by his own. A wide smile along with a chuckle smeared hobi's face as he himself pulled yoongi into a hug, squeezing him tightly.
Yoongi just wished that blush on his cheeks isn't too noticeable.
There's something weird in the air that surrounds them whenever they are together. It started when they were young, and the tension still remains whenever they talk or look into each other's eyes, but they cope up with it, trying to keep it as normal as possible. Perhaps both are afraid to accept their true inner feelings, about which they themselves are unaware or to say they deliberately act oblivious. The jolts of excitement they get from each other's touch and agitation that they conceal with their smiles and jokes. The reason of this hesitancy is that they both are high class alphas.
Yoongi pulled back from a hug as hoseok giving him one last deep stare, walked away to get into the black car.
The driver soon speeded up, yoongi and jimin waved hoseok, seeing the vehicle exiting palace's gates.
Kim Jimin
(sighs covering his eyes from the sunlight)
Kim Jimin
It's hot as fck today.
Jimin said, snapping yoongi out of his trance as he looked at him.
Min Yoongi
Don't curse out in open.
Kim Jimin
(scoffs) You're the one to talk.
Jimin fired back turning towards the big main door.
Kim Jimin
You're coming in or what. It's way too sunny to stay outside.
Kim Jimin
(He remarked looking back at yoongi)
Yoongi nodded, taking one last glance at the gates before turning around as well and following jimin inside.
