"Leah come on, come on, come on,come Waaaake up". Was what I heard as my eye

s were barely open. "What I'm trying to sleep you dweeb". I opened my eyes to find my eleven year old brother standing rightt over me.

" Eww your breath smells worse than fluffy's kitty litter".

"Get out", I yelled as I threw my pillow at his face. He ran out my room and yelled

" today's the tryouts, so you better get up kitty breath". I sit straight up.

" Today is the tryouts". I yell excitedly.

"Shut up your going to wake the whole pack up". My dad yelled up the stairs.

" Sorry", I yell back. "Today are the tryouts". I whisper excitedly.

I go straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get in the shower. When I get out I go put on my training outfit. Which is a blue training bra, black some biker shorts, and some old black shoes. My plan was to go down stairs, eat breakfast, and then leave to go train. But as soon as I got down stairs,

" were do you think your going". I was almost gone.

" to go train before tryouts ".

"Who said you could go, and I already told you that your not going to tryouts ".

"That's not fair, why cant I go".

"Because your to young to be trying out for the worrior tournament ".

"But you were way younger than me when you did, and you got recruited ".

"Is this because I'm a girl".

"No ,this is because your my daughter and I dont want you to get hurt".

"I'm not going to get hurt, I'm the best fighter in the pack".

"I even took you down, so there should be no reason for me not to go".

"You cant go, end of discussion ".

"But da-

"No buts, now go help your brother put the plates away".

I just stood there, I was so upset.

"Now", my dad yelled

"Fine, whatever "

After I helped Alec put the plates away I stormed upstairs to check the time. It was 12:30 and the tryouts starts at 3:00 so I have some time before I have to sneak out the house." Theres no way I'm not going to that tournament, even if I have to sneak out". I thought to myself, my dad was acting so crazy about this and I didn't know why.

I heard my phone ring. "Hello"

"leah where are you, I've been waiting here for fifteen minutes ".

"Sorry Jake my dad said I cant go to train, but I'll meet you at tryouts".

"He said you cant train but he let's you come to tryouts, something off".

"Well he said I cant come to tryouts, but I'm going to sneak out anyway".

"What , the 'always listen to your elders' Aleah Santos is about to disobey her own father, I never thought I'd see the day". He joked.

"I dont know why my dad wont let me go. I'll be eighteen in six months, i can make my own choices ".

"Maybe he's just scared". Jake said

"Scared of what, I'm not going to get hurt by the other wolves ".

"Maybe he's scared that you'll get recruited, and be a warrior and end up like your mo- sorry I didn't mean it like that".

"Its okay, I get it. Thank you i never thought of it like that. But I'm doing this because of my mom. When she was alive she was the best warrior ever. And I want to be just like her, why is that wrong".I said.

"It's not about it being wrong, it's that your dad doesn't want to lose you and I agree with him because I dont want to lose you neither, if your gone who's going to scratch that part of my back that I cant reach, and who's going to sneak me some candy when I'm sick, and who's go-

"Ok, ok I get it , but if I dont do this I'm going to lose the connection with my mom and that cant happen. So are you going to help me or not".

"Of course I'll help you, what are best friends for". He laughed.

"Ok good we start at 2:30 when my dad goes to a pack meeting".

I'm been sitting in my room waiting for one hour and thirty minutes, how long does it take to start a damn meeting dad.

* knock* knock *

" come in" I said

"Leah, I just wanted to say that your 'bestest-westest' sister ever and that I love you so much". He said in cutest voice ever.

"Uh huh", he only uses that voice when he wants something. "What do you want "

"I was wondering if I could come to watch the tryouts". He said as he fidgeted with his fingers.

"No way, now if that's all you can leave".

"Come on, just let me tag along. I promise I wont be annoying".

"I said no, now get out".

"Well, I didnt want to do this but".

"Do what". I asked in confusion." If you dont let me go, I'll tell dad that your going to sneak out, and then you'll get one week in the bin".

What's the bin you may ask. Well the bin is a big, deep hole in our backyard that my dad puts us in if were bad. Well puts me because Alec's to young for it, but he'll get put in it when he's fourteen.

And for me it's not really a punishment, I like it because it helps me train. It teaches me how to survive in dark places.

One time when I was fifteen, I got put in there for sneaking out to a party with Jake. It was my second time being in there, but that time It was colder and darker, and there were rogue vamps on the loose.

*flash back 3 years*

"Dad, I get it now. I'm sorry ok, I shouldn't have snuck , I'm sorry just please let me back up". I cried out to my dad but he didnt answer.

*snap*crack*

I heard noise in the distance." Dad are you there". I said. But there was no answer.

"Alec is that you". I said but no answer again. "Alec this isn't funny, go tell dad to let me up". I practically screamed at him out of fear.

*growl*

"Who's there". Again there was no answer.

"Show yourself, this isn't funny". This was the scariest moment of my life.

I suddenly felt someone's heavy breath on the back of my neck. I turned around as fast as I could and threw a punch but there was no one there.

"You missed" ,someone whispered in my ear. I turned and threw a punch, but again there was nothing. "Who are you", I yelled into the distance. Suddenly someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw a guy no older than twenty with blood red eyes and fangs. "I'm your worst nightmare". He said and ran as fast as he could then bit my neck.

"Ahhhhhh, get off of me". I said then I remembered that i was trained for stuff like this. I elbowed him in the stomach as hard as I could with all my wolf strength. He stumbled back, but soon after caught his balance. He ran to me and I ran to him, but halfway through the run i slid on my side and went under him. I got up as quick as possible and grabbed him from behind and slammed him on the ground. While he groaned in pain i picked up a rock and got on top of him and just started hitting him as hard as possible. I was so angry I didn't even realize that I was killing him. As soon as I realized, he was already dead. I got up with my hands shaking and covered in blood.

"Leah are you ok, I heard some noi-,

Omg, are you ok". Alec was standing above the hole with fear in his eyes.

"Yeah I'm fine Alec, now go get dad for me". I said trying to distract him from the dead vamp right next to me. "Alright", he said and ran away.

**** Present time****

"Are you trying to blackmail me". I said teasingly. "Maybe I am" he said as he dusted off his shoulder. I was surprised that he came up with that on his own.

He did something that I would do, which was kinda funny. "Well played, you can come with me, but here are the rules,

Don't embarrass me

Don't walk to far away from me

Don't try to get on Jake's back

Don't try to drink any liquor

Don't ask to fight

"If you break any of these rules your going home, got it"?

"Got it". He said as he left my room.

Wow today's going to be fun.

Dad left for his meeting and then me and Alec got ready to go. When we got to the tryouts there were at least thirty people participating. Me and Jake soon got in line with the others.

"Good morning everyone, as you all know today you will all be competing in this tournament to see who is the best of the best. The strongest, smartest, and bravest will be awarded by becoming a warrior. Today you all will be fighting to see who is the strongest, and at the end the winner has to fight our special guest. Is everyone ready".

"YEAH" everyone yelled.

"Well let's get ready to rumble, the first people to fight will be Jake and Jade".

"What, I have to fight my sister. That sucks, but no mercy". Jake said

"No mercy ". Jade said.

Jade is Jake's twin sister, she's also another one of my closest friends.

During the fight, you could tell that Jake was holding back until jade got him real good in the face a couple of times. That's Jake started to go full on, and just like that, Jake beat jade in under ten minutes.

"Alright the next fighter to fight Jake will be benjie".

They fought for a little while then Jake beat him and the next seven contenders.

But then Jake lost to a girl named wendy. But if you ask me, he lost on purpose. Jake has been crushing for her since the fourth grade. He thinks she's his mate, but he wont know for sure until she turns eighteen.

"The next person to fight wendy will be Aleah".

"Ha ha, are you serious this will be so easy". I said as i walked up to her. I beat wendy in two seconds. Literally.

"The next person to fight Aleah will be Adam"

Adam is a buff guy with both his arms full with tattoos. During the eighth grade he use to flirt with me all the time, but I wanted to wait for my mate. When I declined him he got mad and told me to never take to him again. But last year in the eleventh grade, he came to me to help him with his homework and then we bonded, he still flirted but it was playful, so no harm done.

"Hey sweet thing, you look hot". Adam said as we circled each other.

"You dont look to bad yourself bubba". I said back."why did you give me that stupid nickname ". He said to me while rolling his eyes. "Because its cute". I said to him.

"Well I'm gonna have to kick you a** now, sorry". He said with a smirk.

"You wish". I said back.

Not soon after, he charged at me with full strength. He is pretty strong but I'm faster. I dodged the first four of his hits, then I caught one of his fists and twisted it behind his back, then I kicked the back of his knee which made him drop to the floor.

He lifted his head back with full power and hit me in the face with it. I stumbled back and fell to the ground. My nose started to bleed and I started to cry.

He ran to me and said.

"Omg, leah are you ok , I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you". He was standing right over me. "Adam what is the first thing we are taught to never do when fighting". I said to him. "Umm, never eat before a fight". He said confidently." Not even close".I said to him, then i tripped him with my leg and sat on top of him.

"Never let your guard down ". Then I put my arm on his throat and had my other fist ready to punch. "Yield or I'll punch you". I said to him.

"I guess your gonna have to punch me because I'm not going to yield ". He said with confidence like I wasn't going to do it. "Alright". I said them punched him in the face." Yield". I said.

"Not going to happen". He said. I punched him two more times. "Yield ". I said angrily. "No" he said. I stated to get angry. All of a sudden everything turned black and I couldn't hear or see. When I got snapped out of it, Jake was pulling me off of Adam. And Adam had blood all over him.

"What do you think your doing". Jake yelled at me. What was he talking about, I didnt do anything. "What are you talking about". I said to him in confusion.

"He already yielded ten minutes ago and you kept on hitting him, Leah what Is wrong with you". He said angrily.

"Your crazy I would never hurt Adam". I said. "I dont know what happened ,but your eyes turned red and had black veins coming from them". He said. This is crazy , he is crazy, but I can't let this interfere with tryouts, I have to win.

"Look, Jake I dont know what's happening but this is crazy". I said then walked over to Adam.

"Oh my God, bubba , if I did anything I'm so sorry, I didnt mean to". I said to him. I really did feel bad, even if I dont remember what happened. He was covered in blood, he had two black eyes, and his whole face was swollen.

"Its fine I know you didn't mean it , but next time I'm never fighting you again ". He said with a light chuckle. "Ok I gotta get back to the fight, but bubba put some ice on that".

"Since Aleah is our last player, she gets too fight our special guest". He said and then all of a sudden everyone got quite.

I looked up and saw the finest guy in the world. He had black hair, green eyes, and the body of a God. He had no shirt on which showed all the scars on his body. He had two deep looking scars going up his back, one going across his heart, one on his v-line, and a long one coming from his right peck to his left hip. He was muscular, but not too muscular. He was perfection.

"Who is that". I asked Jake. He looked at me with a surprised face. "You dont know who that is". He yelled and I shook my head "no, should I know who that is". I said. "That's Lycan Yamajit, the best assassin ever, and the scariest ". He said as he trembled at the last part.

"As you all know this is Lycan Yamajit, and he will be the one she is fighting ".
