1: Set the scene
It was a dark and rainy night when he finally caught sight of Jay after nearly 3 years

Hearing Andrew’s voice after so long sent chills down Jays spine. He was now recalling all the pain and torture that he was so desperately trying to forget.
But now was not the time to be distracted by such memories. Jay knew he had to keep running since getting caught would mean getting dragged back into the darkness.

In the mist of all the chaos, Jay was able to quickly and quietly limp away towards the train station to make his quick get away.

Andrew slowly extends his hand so he doesn’t startle Jay. After calming down a bit, Jay finally takes his offer and they walk to the nurses office together
After that day Jay and Andrew grew closer as friends. Jay knew very little about Andrews personal life, but they got along well in school and would frequently hangout in the lunch room or library despite having different classes
As for the two bullies, Jay never interacted with them again. Whenever he asked Andrew if he knew anything, he would claim to know nothing. Jay always found this a bit suspicious, however.

The car ride was about 30 minutes long. They spent the first 15 minutes or so talking about their day and interest. Jay was feeling sleepy so he slept the remaining 15 minutes
