Once upon a time there lived a King who had abundance of wealth. No other kings of his neighborhood possessed wealth as much as he did. The rich king had two princesses . The elder one was princess Scarlett and the younger one was princess Lilly. Scarlett  was kind and soft spoken girl whereas Lilly was stubborn and short tempered. The younger princess had a little pearl necklace which was very dear to her. Once princess Scarlett wore the necklace and this disappointed princess Lilly. Being annoyed for her necklace being taken away Lilly sacrificed food and stopped speaking to her family. Worried for Lilly her mother took away Lilly's necklace from Scarlett and gave it back to Lilly. The king and queen were always worried about the stubborn nature of their daughter Lilly.

                    Once Lilly and her friends decided to go out for a trip. They came across a beautiful rose garden in the kingdom where they saw many beautiful butterflies which were flying around. Lilly and her friends stopped in the garden and they decided to catch butterflies there. As they all got ready to catch butterflies there came a beautiful blue coloured butterfly flying into the garden . Lilly and her friends were mesmerised at the glance of the beautiful butterfly. Lilly decided she would catch the same butterfly and she cunningly caught the butterfly. Seeing their friend in Lilly's trap other butterflies flew and came towards Lilly and they took away her pearl necklace and flew away . Seeing the necklace being confiscated by the butterflies Lilly cried and she left the blue butterfly and ran towards the other butterflies. But before she could get her necklace back the butterflies put her necklace into a well in the garden. Lilly was heartbroken and she started weeping leaning to the wall of the well. Seeing this the blue butterfly flew towards Lilly and said her " Dear princess, we are butterflies. At the maximum we only live for 30 days in this beautiful nature. God has given us only this much life span. So until we are alive we happily fly here and there and enjoy every moment of our precious lives. But you are a princess. You are able to survive for 100 years . Instead of spending this long life happily why are you simply crying for a lost necklace and wasting your precious time. Princess! Your father is a rich king . If this necklace is lost he can bring you thousand other but once you loose your precious moments they will never come back. Then one day death will embrace you and at that time don't regret for having not enjoyed the precious time earlier. Enjoy every moment in this beautiful world happily just like us.    

                    Lilly's eyes were opened by blue butterfly's words and she was surprised at the optimistic lives of butterflies who lived not more than 30 days. Lilly slowly remembered how she irritated her parents through her stubborn nature and felt sorry within herself for her behaviour. Lilly realised the value of her precious life. Lilly thanked the blue butterfly for acknowledging her and kissed the butterfly and she returned back to the kingdom with her friends.

            On returning back to kingdom there was a drastic change in Lilly's behaviour . Lilly was no longer stubborn . She behaved kindly with her family and was soft spoken. King,queen and princess Scarlett were surprised at her changed behaviour and asked her the reason to which Lilly narrated the incident that took place in rose garden. Lilly further added that butterflies were innocent creatures and asked her father to not to let anyone in kingdom to treat them with violence and also asked to declare butterflies as the Royal symbol of the kingdom. The king was inspired by the butterflies and he made an announcement in the kingdom to people commanding them to  treat the butterflies with royalty and never to violate them .From then onwards the butterflies flew freely in that kingdom and the princess Lilly started living happily just like butterflies enjoying each and every moment of her life.
