A loud alarm disrupted the busy street of Kyoto, everyone whos walking on the street lifts their head and sees the big monitor in the tallest building around them. The alarm is the signal that a dungeon has shown up somewhere and that everyone should take shelter. Apparently, the dungeon appeared far away from the city and it calms the citizen but it didn’t stop some of them from panic. A moment

later a lady with a casual appearance appears on the TV screen.

“A dungeon has appeared we advised everyone to take precautions." I repeat a dungeon has appeared and we advised everyone to take

precautions. “ she repeats those words twice in a calm demeanor.

“It's very far from us I think for the monster to reach this place it might take some time, also our hunters are on the move there’s no need to panic” a random guy with a muscular appearance commented.

Some bunch of adventurers who are also near agreed with him.

Meanwhile, the headquarters of the Hunters Association are getting ready.

A helicopter with at least 5 hunters inside had been deployed to the site.

"Gyaaaaaa… finally"I am out!  " A female voice echoed all over the place. She stretched her arms and checks her surrounding.

“Hmppp is this JAPAN?" She muttered this question to herself.  She heard the sounds of the

upcoming helicopter even tho it's still several kilometers away from her. She looks above but she couldn’t see anything apart from the blue skies almost covered by the thick branches and greeny leaves.

“I wonder what is that sounds but I am having a bad feeling about it. I should leave this place. “ She whispered and vanished in an instant. With her flash steps, she can travel few kilometers even in just a minute. She didn’t bother to look back after she left. After she disappears from the place, the Dungeon also disappears.

The hunters who arrived to check the area were astonished and confused at the same time.

For the Dungeon to disappear, means it has been cleared and since they believed they were the first to arrive at the scene it's very surprising that the dungeon disappeared in just a short period of time.

"Are you certain nobody’s here before us?"  Hiro, a B healer and level 35 asked his companions.

"Yes, I'm certain. We are the first to arrive here and even if there is someone before us it's impossible to clear the dungeons in just a few minutes after it appears. Even for an S CLASS hunter. Also at the moment, Akagami, the sole S class hunter in KYOTO, is currently in TOKYO for a conference." Hiro's teammate explains.

"We need to report this to the headquarter. Maybe they made a mistake". Hiro suggested as he couldn’t

comprehend what had just happened.

The team also agreed with him and decided to go back.

Meanwhile, Tomoe is already approaching the City at a very fast speed. She was surprised by the massive change of the place. She cuts the big trunks blocking her view when she arrived at the bottom of the forest and then she jumped off from 5 meters above the ground, from here on she needs to pretend to be normal or at least be normal.  The city is still few miles away, Tomoe knows that she cannot mix in with the residents with her current appearance and she doesn't want to catch anyone's attention either. She decided she needs to find a way to change especially her clothes. Instead of heading straight to the city Tomoe took a detour to the field side. She planned on stealing even simple clothing as she's currently wearing very ragged clothes from 99 years back. It doesn't really matter in the dungeon as she's always wearing the armor, besides this is the only souvenir she had from back then. She found a tiny house next to the rice field, as she approached slowly she heard a woman scream begging for help. She followed the voice and saw a gang of bandits harassing a girl probably in her mid-twenties. Despite her haggard appearance, the girl looks very attractive. She was hesitant at first whether to help the girl or not but then decided she should interfere as she couldn't take to watch the men ganging up on her. She noticed an old man all beat up on the ground almost unconscious.

"He is probably her father. Her thought while walking close to the men."

"Excuse me, do you know where I can purchase some clothes? Do you know some shops near here?"  She asked casually and stand in front of them.

For a moment the men stop and lift their heads towards her. The girl used the chance to escape and run towards her father.

The bandits were surprised nobody noticed her presence, not until she started talking.

One man grinned and faced her. He then grabbed her hair and smelled her neck.

"This is a very lucky day for us boys, two birds in one shot. The bandit shouted and laugh.

His companions also laugh and then picked up their equipment on the ground. Another guy licked his sword like a mad man and walks towards her.

"Ara.... Ara.... I was just asking for help, how can you bully a weak girl like me". Acting teary-eyed and afraid.

"She looks dirty but she’ll be ok after cleaning her". One bandit implied

"Bring them with us!" A guy from behind appeared.

"A very bulky man probably the leader". Tomoe’s thought after the rest of the bandits agreed with him.

"Tsk. You know I really hate it when someone, not my friend stays close to me like this". She's referring to the guy who's up to now still clinging to her and keeps smelling her like a dog.

Before the guy could talk his head parted from his body and fell on the ground.

Everyone was surprised, the girl who was shouting for help earlier fainted out of shock.

Even the rest of the bandits were incapacitated for a moment.

The boss is the first one to regain his senses.

"You bitch!!! What have you done?"!!!!  Shouting in frustration.

Araaaaaaa....araaa .... My hand slipped. Oh my.  Acting innocent and fragile.

Nobody saw what happened because no normal human can catch up with her speed.

Kill her!!!!  The boss shouted and commanded his team.

The bandits prepared themselves to fight. One ****** his swords towards her and continue slashing her hoping to land a hit. In just a few minutes the bandits one by one fell on the ground lifeless. The boss was in raged seeing his underlings being defeated.

"Oh, my.... so weak. How can they be so weak?" She used a sardonic smile to mock them.

It was then the boss realized that she's not normal.

"You're a monster!!!!" The boss fell on his knees. He then crawls backward as Tomoe approaches him slowly.

"Noooo....: don't get near me!!!! Please." He shouted while swinging his sword in the air.

You're a monster!!! Getaway!  He keeps shouting like crazy. Unfortunately, Tomoe is also releasing a dark aura around her which affects the weaker one. Those without strong will reacts to her aura and will go crazy. The boss right now totally lost his sanity.

" Arrrrgggg........ What a pity." She lost her interest in him seeing his current state right now.

She swang her arms and was about to slap the leader but he lost consciousness even before her hand landed.

Geeeeeeezzzzz!!!  Annoyed tone as she's not satisfied with the fight.

The only person who saw everything was that girl's father. Although he was beaten up he was conscious.

He watched Tomoe picked up everyone’s corpses and pile them up. She was planning to burn them.

"Hmmpppp since they are bandits I should check their belongings. They might have some valuable items I could sell." Her eyes turn to gold out of excitement.

"****!!! These idiots are broke!!! They have nothing!" She complains upon checking and found nothing.

"Grrrrrrr...." aggravated tone. She then lit her fingers like a lighter and the fire spreads among the corpses.

"Ahhhhhmmmm. Excuse me. Thank you for saving us. Can we repay you in any way?"  The girl's father appeared beside her.

She totally forgets about them her mind was preoccupied with the bandits.

"Ohhhh. My....... You're hurt. Let me heal you". Suddenly her hand starts glowing and the wounds and bruises from the old man's body are slowly fading.

Thank you so much. The old man bowed his head.

"It's fine." She answered with a smile.

"Please let me offer you something we don't have enough but my wife is a good cook. If you don't mind can we invite you for lunch?" fear can be still seen in the old man's face probably because of what he saw.

Upon hearing the word lunch her stomach started growling.

"Hahaha. Well, I guess I can't refuse." Her face was all red feeling embarrassed by the situation.

The old man smiles and assists her inside the house.

Kira opens her eyes slowly. Her vision is still blurry but she can recognize her worried mother looking down on her.

Oh, thank God you're awake. Her mother exclaimed.

Mother! The bandits!!! Father......... Where is father???? She forcibly lifts her body from the bed.

Relax your father is fine. She tried to calm her and again put her to bed.

"That girl.!!" Upon remembering Tomoe.

"She saved us. She saved your father. The bandits were all gone". Her mother explained.

Ohhhhhh. Thanks, God. But where is she? I need to thank her. Kira insists

"She's in the kitchen, we offered her food and lend her your clothes to repay the kindness.

"But my clothes....she looked away". She's feeling embarrassed for someone who saved their life her clothes might not be worth offerings. She doesn't have any fancy clothes. Her family is barely surviving from the crops. And now the drought is threatening all their crops. It's been two years since the last rain. Most of the farmers inhabiting the area are almost gone.

"Don't worry. She seems a nice person she doesn't mind. Why don't you meet her?" She's still in the kitchen with your father". Her mother suggested.

She nods and then stands up and walks towards the Kitchen.

Sister. Thank you so much for saving me and my father we owe you our life. Also, I'm so sorry if we cannot offer you anything fancy.  Kira appeared at the door and started talking nonstop.

The family especially her father looks very much contented for the first time as if he is rbelieving in her.

“Then please you're very much welcome in our humble abode. We will tend to your needs to the best of our abilities ”. Her father smile widened as he made the offer.

“Could you provide me more details about the situation?” She asked to hope that if she could get more information that will help her with the task.

“It was two years ago when the drought started. The river which is not far from here suddenly gets dried overnight and since then not a single drop of rain has wet the ground. The residents believed it was because of Shinto the spirits of rain. He wants to punish the residents who were polluting the forests but it was unlikely him, I believe”. Kira’s father state in detail.

“A few months back the chief of this village announced that this place is no longer habitable. He advised the residents to move out and find a new place to reside in. Of course, because some of us grew up here and our source of income is here, also we lived here for hundred years since our ancestors we couldn't just leave this place. Although some agreed to him the majority of us decided to stay, but then day by day my neighbors started to vanish, not because they left but because they have been murdered. We tried to seek help from the hunters association in the city but they only visited this place once and said they found nothing unusual. We couldn't afford adventurers even with all the resident's combined resources we cannot afford to hire hunters. I believe that a monster is hiding in the forest causing the irregularities of the weather. Those bandits you killed scammed us they pretended to be hunters that would help us. Taking advantage of our situation they tried to steal everything valuable to us and when they couldn't find anything they want to snatch my daughter and make her their slave. “Kira’s father looks in pain just to describe the situation.

“Hmmmppp. I see”. She nods while trying to sink all the information in her brain.

“Let's see what I can do. I'll stay here for a bit and scout the area. “After saying that she stands up.

“How many of you left?” She asked before leaving.

“Only twelve of us left including the chief.”Kira’s father answered.

“Ok. I'll come back before dark”. That's all and she leaves the residence.

Not far from the house Tomoe used detection magic. She closed her eyes and analyzed the surrounding with her detection magic, at least 10km range she can tell if there's another being regardless if they are monsters, animals, insects, or humans.

“Bingo.! “She muttered in satisfied tone.

“You're disguising yourself very well there aren't you?” She soliloquies and smirked.

“It would be bad if I let him wander around like that this guy is about to hatch. I couldn't let that happen it would be troublesome.”She mumbles and hurried to the depth part of the forest.

The monster is called Abiko it's a monster lizard-like chameleon. It's not visible to all human eyes as its color adjusted to its surroundings and passive of being transparent. It dries out energy from its surroundings causing the river to dry out. He was hiding himself all the time in this forest as he is waiting for himself to hatch. This monster is still an egg he's mother probably died during a dungeon raid.

“He did a good job keeping himself hidden. Those hunters probably didn't notice him that him during their visit as he was still weak at that time. But this guy already feeds on humans sucking out their energy. Normally under his mother’s care, he would hatch after 5 years or so but this guy is about to hatch anytime soon. Good work for preventing the rain as well as these monster prefers hot weather. “Her thought while moving faster to the location.

“Geez, I think I'm too late. It's hatching! “ She can tell because she can feel the aura as she gets closer.

She's indeed late because when she arrived the monster is already outside it's shell.

“I smell human! “The monster started talking. Even Tomoe was surprised.

“Aaaaaaa my first meal after I was born. Good... This is good.! “ The monster faced her and suddenly extend his tongue towards her. She easily escaped that attack and move back several steps.

“Crap. Its tongue contains poison I think this monster already evolved while still in his shell. I encountered a monster like him in the dungeon and I'm pretty sure they don't have poison. But this one is different. He can speak like humans, he probably gains this ability when he devoured those villagers. Judging by his appearance he is probably b rank, not much of a treat to me but I still need to be careful. Not knowing the enemy's skills is a sin. ! “

“Owwww. You're quite skilled! “ he praised her but with a sarcastic tone.

She remains silent.

“Well if you don't do your move I'll continue with my attacks. “The monster prepared to attacks her again.

A pierce battle begins after the monster state those words .

After thirty minutes Tomoe remained unscratched.

The monster finally noticed that he is not dealing any damages to her.

Well, for someone who spent 99 years in an ancient dungeon and defeated the strongest demon lord of course her skills and power is not be underestimated.

Tomoe is not even using portion of her power, while the monster is already exhausted and probably already out of mana Tomoe is only using her physical abilities.

You should have just get back to the dungeon when you had the chance. Now that you met me your only option is to die.

“No please. I begged you. Please please... Don't kill me. “The monster begged for his life.

Tomoe was about to give her final blow but then a small spirit appeared in front of her. With her small body and rainbow colored wings she comes flying like a mosquito around her .

“Please please please spare my child! “The spirit starts begging.

Tomoe was startled for a moment. She was confused.

“Your child???? This monster???? “She asks in a surprised tone.

“Yes. This idiot is my child. “! The spirit answered.

She couldn't comprehend what is happening.

“Give me a better explanation”. Annoyed tone.

“Well, you're right that he is a monster but the spirit inside him is the spirit of my child. I transferred the soul of my child in him. As you can see he can speak that's one of the abilities I granted to him. I found him in the forest when he was a week old barely an egg. I think his parent died in dungeon raid and to be able to save him she throws him out of the dungeon that's how I found him. Without his mother, he will barely survive in this forest, that time my only child died because of humans greed. They start polluting the forest which made my son so weak and then died. That time I thought I could revive my son through him and so I raised this monster egg. And because he will only survive in a hot temperature I planned to turn this forest into a desert using my power, so I dried the river and stops that rain from pouring. I have that power because I am Ammeona one of the rain spirits. “Ammeona explained in details.

So it was you all along. You're the culprit.

“Yes I will take the blame. I can understand why you're angry because my son killed humans but those humans provoked us first. They were told to leave the place but they don't want not because this is their habitat but because of the gems that can be found here. They accidentally discovered the gems that maintaining the forest they had been given warning several times but they ignored it. Those gems are very important to us spirits it's the only thing that gives balance to us. Without those all the spirits here will die same what happened to my son. Bitterness and sadness in her tone.

“I see. “Tomoe quickly changed her judgement upon hearing her explanation.

“Hmmmpp. This is rather difficult how could I explain it to them. “Referring to Kira’s family .

“Ok. There is something to be done. You two follows me.”She commands them.

“Huh???? “Both monster and spirit are confused .

“They????? “Kira noted.

Ammeona also appeared. Supposedly she's not visible to the normal human eyes but she let them see her this time.

“Hello. “The fairy greeted with a smiled and then bow her head.

The family was astonished. They couldn't believe what's in front of them.

“I will explain everything”. Tomoe breaks the silence.

After hearing Tomoe’s detailed explanation the family finally grasp the situation.

“I apologized on behalf of the villagers and I'm so sorry for your loss. To amend, I would like to offer a proposition”. The old man sincerely apologized and offered a deal.

Ammeona was put in a very awkward situation because she knows the old man was sincere and she's also feeling guilty for killing his kind.

“Hmmmppp......? Proposition”? Tomoe although in a state of confusion asked.

“Yes. I would like to co-habitat with them. I don't hold any grudges towards them and I think the chief will also understand. I would like them to be our guardians and guardian of this forest. Ammeona's eyes grew bigger and put both of her hand in her face and start flying around her again like a mosquito.

“Ohhhhhhh my God. This is the perfect host for my son.!!!!!! Who are you and where did you get it? I can feel the power from it. ! “She cannot contain her excitement.

Abiko on the other hand turns pale.

“No mother! I won't transfer to that host!!!!!!! “Abiko was in a panicked tone.

“Why?!!!!!!!!! “ Ammonia suddenly changed her appearance she turns into a furious mother ready to hit her son.

“Eeeeeeeeeeee.... That's a female host and I am man!!!! “Abiko teary-eyed looking at Tomoe trying to ask for help.

“Opppssssss...... “Tomoe looks away from Abiko sweating in bucket.

The guy extended his arms to cover her mouth because she's talking loud again.

“Fine. Sorry. So, now I need to go get a license first before I could sell this? “

“Well, you can sell it in the black market. Some hunters are buying for a very low price and selling for a very high price. “ The guy answered calmly.

“What's your name??? Sorry, I forgot to ask you from the beginning.” she asked so she can properly addresse him.

“My name is Mel. I'm 19 years old and Hunter wanna be. I want to take the exam next week. “ He proudly answers.

“She made a funny face upon realizing that he is stupid.

This time it's Mel who almost choked on his drinks.
