Namjoon looked down at the ring Yoongi had gave him on their 3rd anniversary. It had a black stone surrounded by silver embroidery. It was a pretty ring and Namjoon rarely took it off.
Now, after 5 years in their relationship, Yoongi was packing his things. He was putting his clothes and toiletries into a big bag with force.
Namjoon's eyes itched from crying so much. He rubbed at them, holding back the oncoming tears. He was too fucking tired. He was sick of crying.
He watched as Yoongi buzzed around the room, getting things from here and there. Namjoon examined his lover's face. He missed kissing those lips. The sinful curve of them. Namjoon suddenly craved touch.
"Namjoon. Look, I-"
"We've been over this before, Yoongi. Just-" he cut himself off, taking a deep breath and wiping his nose with the folded tissue he was holding in his hand.
"Just go."
The older looked like he was going to cry. How dare he? He wasn't the one who had his heart broken, trampled over and chewed. He wasn't the one who had been feeling a dull ache in his heart for months. How fucking dare he?
"Just give me one more chance Joonie, for all the years we've been through, please." He was pleading now.
"Just- please. I know apologies don't change anything but I'm so fucking sorry. I'm so sorry for all of-"
"I CAUGHT YOU ON OUR BED WITH A GODDAMN STRANGER YOONGI!" Namjoon was standing up now, his finger pointing at the bed. He had always talked with his body.
"How long? How long have you been fucking him?" His tone was lower now. Tired, no, exhausted from everything. Everything that went on his life. Tired of Yoongi, tired of drinking too much coffee, tired of fucking everything up, tired of not being enough, tired of-
"It's been a month." Great. Fucking fantastic. Namjoon was being cheated on for a whole fucking month. Absolutely wonderful.
Anger was bubbling low on his chest but Namjoon had never been the best at expressing his feelings. He had always been the more secluded one. The one who went along, just for the sake of balance.
"Go. Get out of my apartment Min Yoongi." He played with the ring sitting on his pointer finger. He didn't need anything that resembled their bond anymore. For once, he was going to cut off everything. He took off the ring and put it in the older's palm.
He walked to the door and opened it, pointing at the corridor outside.
"Go. Now." Yoongi got his bag and walked towards the door. He made a move to hold his lover, well now his ex-lover's hand but Namjoon backed away as if he had been electrocuted.
"Joonie."
"Don't you fucking dare call me that."
So Yoongi got out. The younger slammed the door. Namjoon was alone now, just like always. Alone. Exhausted. He dropped on the floor and cuddled his legs, resting his head on his knees. Alone. Exhausted.
