THE MONSTER IN ME
A new beginning.
What do you think about people? What’s the first word that comes to your mind, when you think about people? Aren’t they completely strangers to us?
Do you think the people you constantly meet in your life, are all GOOD? Or are all BAD? Can you even decide if they’re good or bad?
“I’ll get to know them as time flies”.
Eventually, when time flies you only become strangers to friends.
Now, the question changes .
“ Can you trust the person close to you?”

A new place,to start something new.Today was my first morning in the new place.
The fresh air in the morning, the sun shining with the brightest colors, the trees that dance for the soft breeze, the cold air that tickles the ears. Everything seemed perfect.
The building was little TOO OLD. It almost felt like entering a haunted building. I made up all the courage I had and entered the room.
Just when I stepped in, a large figure popped in front of me! My soul almost left my body!
I slowly peeked with one of my eye.
It was one of the homeroom teacher. He had a large body! He was almost 185cm tall, wearing a orange tuxedo and had dyed his hair green.
I almost felt like a giant human sized carrot is walking past me! He stopped and turned towards me.

Are you the new transfer student?
With a trembling voice I replied,
Since it was my first day in school I had to meet the homeroom teacher who would give me instructions regarding the 2 MONTHS portions and lessons which I had missed.
And the haunted building which I mentioned earlier was my NEW school.

Hello! I'm your new homeroom teacher. You can call me Mr. Kim.

Although he was trying to be friendly,his entire self didn’t make it feel friendly enough.
Rather it felt like talking to a giant carrot.
After a half an hour talk what felt like ages ,it was time to enter the new class.
I followed him to the classroom. I stood by the door and my heart started racing.
Although it felt like I was ready for this new beginning, it didn’t feel right. A numerous thoughts started running throughout my mind.

Just when my mind was full of these numerous thoughts, Mr.Kim Ra-myon called me in.

I gathered up all my courage again and went in.

Students! This is Lee Hana. She'll be the new student joining you all.
As I entered, I could hear people whispering.
**Students to each other**
Hearing these made me feel more anxious. I wanted to run AGAIN. Everything made me feel nauseous.
But I can’t HIDE anymore.

The day began with a lot of anxiousness.

When I started to move towards my seat, the atmosphere around me became gloomy.
All the students were murmuring about something to each other.
I failed to hear them clearly, but all I heard was them saying,
I wasn’t sure to whom or what they actually were referring to, but was sure that it wasn’t going to do any good to me.

Although I didn’t know what he was talking about and what I should not be worrying about. But looking at the situation,it felt like something dreadful had happened in this school too.
After being seated,I looked outside the window. The window had a beautiful view.
The view begins from the school playground up-till the front gate of the school. The gardener watering the green plants, the cleaner cleaning the front yard, the athlete’s running the entire ground and the players playing football.

One could have their stressed mind relieved just by sitting here and looking up to the window’s view.
Just when I thought it’s peaceful, I could feel a strong gaze constantly looking at me.
I slowly turned towards my right and saw this person staring at me , as if I stole one of his Kidney’s.
I could tell by his expressions that he was pissed at me. But I was confused, because I didn’t know anyone there and there’s no way I could know him.

After the homeroom teacher left, I decided to ask him.

Did I do something wrong?

Why do you look so annoyed at me?
The person, without even looking at me,stormed out of the class.
Being confused, I didn’t know what to do. I felt like an invisible wall.
**Hana thinking to herself**

Just when I was thinking about this, another thought passed through.

Feeling lost, I just sat there and dared not to speak to anyone.
I could feel cold chills.
As if a SOUL passed through my body.
I IGNORED, thinking that it might be the cold breeze coming from the window.
After a while, a girl came towards me. She had short blonde hair, wore sneakers and had natural makeup. One could say that she was naturally beautiful.
She sat in the empty seat in front of me. She leaned towards me and with a cold deep voice said,

Another chill went down my spine.
Just when I thought I had overcome my past, another tragic took place.

No matter how hard I think, taking your own life just because your friend died, didn’t make any sense to me.

All I remember was that, I served my lunch and sat to have lunch. Then the next thing was coming out of the cafeteria.
What just happened? Do I have dementia ? or Was I possessed?

Having these thought , I was suddenly reminded about the eerie feeling I used to get from the morning.
