Summer days in Shanghai were extremely warm and sweaty. The streets were full of people either complaining about the weather or their boyfriend cheating on them.

Areum was walking across the street in a black silk jumpsuit and her old sneakers that her father bought her from the local market. Areum is fair-skinned, with long dark brown hair, rosy red lips and big sparkling eyes.

Areum was both nervous but happy at the same thinking about her interview at her first law firm. She had been dreaming about this for the last seven years of struggle. She only had a couple of minutes left before the interview began. Areum fastened her pace as she held her file even tighter to her chest.

Suddenly she felt a big, cold hand on her tiny waist pulling her to the side. Completely shocked Areum turned around and looked at the man in front of her.

He looked like someone right from a k drama. He had a sharp jawline paired with eyes colder than Mount Everest and a tall nose. Only his face made Areum lose her awareness.

He was wearing a black tuxedo and a Rolex as if the tuxedo wasn't enough to kill someone with just a look.

Areum only came back to her senses after a long stare at his handsomeness. Areum stood up properly and took a couple of steps back so that she was maintaining a safe distance from this unknown man. "t..t..thank you". "You should be careful next time," the man said coldly as he walked away and sat in a matt black Mercedes worth Areums whole existence.

Oh shit! Areum looked at her phone and realized she was late for her interview. Areum ran as fast as she could with her ten cm long white heels and her styled hair looking not so styled anymore.

After a couple of minutes of running and panting, Areum arrived in front of a tall building made of pure glass. She was about to run inside but Areum got stopped by two guards.

"Miss, you can't go inside, we need to see your employee card."

Areum was already late to her interview, and now she had to deal with these guards.

"I came here for an interview..."

The guards looked at each other and one of them called someone, while the other one stared at Areum with confusion.

"The interview was done ten minutes ago, miss"

Areum was sad and confused, but she managed to keep a cool face

"Can you please make an exception, I really need this job, please"

"sorry miss, but we can't do anything about this"

Areum started walking back to the bus station, lost in her thoughts, thinking about her father and how disappointed he will be.

Suddenly she bumped into something hard, Areum looked up completely shock.

"S..Sorry" was the only thing that came out of Areums mouth

The man looked at her with his cold eyes

"Can you let go now"

Areum looked at him with confusion and realized that she was holding his white branded shirt.

She let go of him quickly

"Good morning mr kim"

Areum couldn’t believe her own ears

THIS MAN WAS THE CEO OF CHEN LAW FIRM!!

After a couple seconds of realization, Areum turned around and ran to the man who could get her another chance for an interview.

"Sir, can you please give me another chance?, i really need this job and you know the reason to why i couldn’t come to my interview in time."

everyone was shocked at Areum`s behavior towards the CEO of Chen law firm!!!

"I dont have time for people like you"

"Its your fault, I CANT BELIEVE IT, YOU are the one who is at fault here, i..i..i am going to sue your unreasonable company!"

The intense tension was broken by the sound of a Lamborghini, both Areum and the ceo looked at the man that came out of this extremely expensive car.

Broad shoulders, tall, light cool brown hair matching perfectly with his dark blue suit.

"what going on here Chenglei?"

Areum was thinking to herself how the CEO´s name fit perfectly with his cold appearance, Chenglei.

"I told you NOT to call me by my name when we are at the company"

Chenglei`s eyes could tell how much he wanted to kill this young man.

Areum took a few steps closer to Chenglei to the point where she could feel his freezing cold aura.

"So, will you get me an interview OR NOT"

Chenglei was looking at this beautiful woman and how she pretends to stay strong but is scared on the inside.

He has never seen such a daring women before, who is standing this close to her. Chenglei, felt his heart soften a little looking at Areum.

"Okay, i will let you have the interview but you need to do it with me, personally."

**Areum pov **

Areum was acting like she knew he was going to agree on an interview, but inside she was dying with happiness.

"okay, i agree"

"this is my secretary, he will show you the way to my office, I will be there in a couple minutes"

Areum wondered why the CEO of chen law firm wanted to have her interview, but she didnt ask.

"Hiiii, my name is Cheng, my bro is always cold with people, dont mind him."

Areum was surprised at Cheng´s behavior and how kind he is compared to the CEO.

"Hello, my name is Areum and its okay, i dont mind it"

Cheng followed areum to Chenglei´s office as they were chatting.
