Riya POV

It's been f***ing 3 days since Sam went missing, there is no single clue about her whereabouts. It's creeping me out. Something inside me probably what everybody call instinct is constantly ringing a warning alarm in my head, that something bad's gonna happen...

And to the coincidence, i got a call from the police station today morning. They requested us to come to xx location.

When we (i and daisy) asked the reason, the officer said, " mam we have identified a corpse at xx location, we request you to immediately arrive at xx location for identification and further queries".

Hearing this, my heart skipped a beat, my breath hitched in fear. An unknown fear inside me grew stronger and stronger as the seconds passed. There was a strange discomfort in my chest along with so many distressing thoughts bouncing in my head. The only thing that my mind repeated was, "it's not her, it can't be her, it definitely can't be her.....". Then Daisy tried to lighten the atmosphere with her consoling pep talk. Even she was a little scared after hearing the news. But she hid it pretty well.

Actually, me, Daisy and Sam, we all live together. We three are really close. There is nothing that we don't know about each other. To my knowledge we don't hide anything from each other. Exactly, we three are sisters, not by blood, but by heart.

Our mind ceased to think of anything good after we recieved the call. As soon as we got the call, we took a taxi instead. We reached there past 1 hour as the xx place was in the outskirts of the city. When we reached there the picture we saw amused us. The place was sealed and was surrounded by many policemen. I guess more than 2 police cars were present. While walkimg towards our destination, i heard the coversation between two policemen:

policeman 1: "i pity the poor girl who had died a horrible death..."

Policeman 2: "this is more than a horrible death. How cruel that person must be to murder a human in this way...that too a girl....poor girl, she must have gone through enormous pain, i wish for her to rest in peace. The family will be very heartbroken seeing the corpse..."not only me even daisy heard that. After hearing that, i felt as if someone stabbed right through my heart. The fear inside me grew even more stronger. I could feel my palm and soles getting wet in my own cold sweats.

One of the policeman recognised us. He came to recieve us and took us inside, along with other two strangers, a young man and a woman probably in late 20's. After seeing them i could pretty much guess the reason for their presence. We all followed the policeman closely. I grope Daisy's hand tightly. I could feel even she was a bit scared of what we're going to visualize. The desperate voice in my head kept rewinding the sentence 'it can't be her'.

Author POV

As the 4 of them walked in, they got an unpleasant odour struck their nose, the odour was so bad and similar to that of a rotten dead rat. As they stepped forward the bad odour incapacitated their sense of smell. They couldn't help but use their hands to cover their lower part of the face to avoid it.

The policemen were all wearing masks to guard them from the unpleasant odour. One of the policeman took 4 masks and handed each one of them a mask.

Policeman: "pardon, please help yourselves with the mask".

Just like them (riya and daisy) the young man and the woman were also scared and worried of what was ahead of them.

At the entrance of a very old room which was somewhat isolated from other rooms, they witnessed journalists who were trying to get a summary of the incident. They also saw a group of two people wearing gloves and masks with some samples in their hands probably from the forensic team.

Riya POV

Then at last the moment came, my heart was beating like a bullet train, we stepped inside the room. Everyone's gaze which held great fear moved towards the corner of the room. We hesistantly stepped towards the corner. The pair of young man and woman went forward. Then our eyes widened and got stuck from the site in front of us... our mouth wide open... It was full of silence...  "Aaaah (scream)... No..no..sob' sob'..it sob' can't be..."

Riya POV

"Aaah (scream)....no...no..sob' sob'...it sob' can't...be..." came a desperate voice which shook us all from the shock. Then i gasped for air by seeing the scene in front of me which was beyond horrible. I turned around and tightly hugged Dai. I was glad that it was not Sam but seeing the woman crying like that broke my heart. Whoever maybe the person lying on the ground dead, either good or bad, did not deserve an end like this. After all she's a human and no human deserves such a cruel death. Unknowingly sorrowful tears welled up in my eyes... landing one by one on the ground smoothly.

AUTHOR POV

The face of the corpse had innumerable injuries, but still the face was identifiable. Her eyes were stuck and wide open. It felt as if she was staring at me. The lips were black and had deep teeth bite marks as if someone had bitten it cruelly. The body was completely ***** and contained brutal injuries. She had so many cigarette burn marks all over her n*k*d body and there were whip and bite marks also. It was clear that she was raped and tortured to death mercilessly by a inhumane monster. Her hands and legs were tightly tied with ropes. There were few glass pieces pierced all over her body.

The most horrible thing was, there were hundreds of maggots squirming in and out of her female part and on her thighs. Few hundreds of maggots were eating the flesh of her ****** and neck and had deeply penetrated her skin making it look like a honeybee comb. And i'm scared so much as i hate those tiny-little squirming disgusting worms. The corpse was skinny. Her wrists had black bruises due to struggling. Retrieving her body was going to take few hours as to avoid further damage to her.

There were two problems: One was the maggots and the other was untying her from the firmly wrapped ropes and deeply pierced glass shards. Even a stranger would feel heartbroken seeing her. Let alone her own family. This poor soul was used like some sort of tissue, used to satisfy a monsters desire, tortured her for his pleasure and was thrown away like a rag, worthless. The ruthless monster after satiyfying himself has murdered her so mercilessly and abandoned her body to be feasted by maggots. Not only could she save her dignity and self-esteem, but also the one and only life she had. She could not live it to her satisfaction.

Even though it is hard to believe, but there are so many young girls who had gone through this hell of a pain and died horrifically. The countless dreams they had were first shattered into pieces and then into nothingness. They did not get a choice to live instead they're left to die. No one, f***ing no one deserves a death like this.

Daisy POV

Being the most brave and calm one among the three of us, even i was shaken seeing the scene in front of me. After seeing the corpse, Ri hugged me tightly. I could feel the fear creeping out of her. It's not because of the corpse but because of maggots. She has vermiphobia, xarantophobia and scolopendrphobia. Even by just a glimpse of it, her phobia gets triggered. I guess most of the people suffer from either one of them, but sigh...this idiot suffers from all of them. Now my only goal was to get our a** outta this place and continue searching for Sam. I said to Ri, " Ri bae calm down, let's get out of here first". I could see her wet eyes. I intimated one of the policeman and we left from there. We reached our home and i sighed in relief. Today was really a hectic day. Even Riya was exhausted. She slept as soon as we came back. And after finishing some of my works i slept too because we have to resume our search for Sam tomorrow. I'm really worried so much about her....I don't know what she's going through...I only pray for her to be fine....

At around 3 am i heard someone screaming and crying. I panicked and went out to the living room. The noise was coming out of Ri's room. I rushed to her room. I got tripped as it was dark, thank goodness i did not get injured. When i opened her room i saw her having a nightmare. I went near her and held her hand and calmed her down. I cuddled her and patted her head. She relaxed and eventually drifted to sleep. she was sleeping like a baby. I sighed and decided to sleep with her today. She was having these nightmares after 2 long years. I guess today's incident triggered some of her bitter past memories. She had a really hard time 2 years ago. She has gone through hell. But she was strong. With all of our continuous effort, love and care, she's turned into a nornal person. It was not at all easy. Thinking about past things i did not know when i drifted to sleep. We slept without knowing what the future aholds for everyone of us.

Riya POV

It was still dark when i woke up. It was rain was pouring hard. I was trying to pick my phone from the bedside table when i realised a hand around my waist. I got startled. But it was Dai. She was still asleep. Without waking her up i grasped my phone and unlocked it. There was a beautiful photo of three young girls with contagious smiles. Yes it was us- me, sam and Dai. Seeing it, my lips curled into a smile unknowingly. It was taken on my last birthday. But an overwhelming sadness build up. A tear escaped my left eye, but i wiped it off asap. It was already 7am. Still we did not get a single clue about Sam. I sighed. Today, I'm not gonna comeback home without her at any cost. I need to be strong for my friends and family. I quickly got out of bed. I grabbed my clothes and went to take a shower. As i opened the bathroom door, i was totally shocked. My blood turned cold.

I tried to scream.."Dai...Daisy" but only a whisper came. I could not believe my own eyes.

I stepped backwards as fast as i could. But my legs got twisted and i landed on my butt.

'THUD'

" oh my god it literally is freaking scary"..... "n..no...no" my lips quivered. How can someone be so cruel? I started shaking and sweating badly. I wanted to be stronger but my body was behaving like a coward. The fear inside me was triggered.

Daisy POV

"THUD" i woke due to a loud sound. When i moved my hands to feel the person beside me, i realised i was alone on the bed, Ri was not there. "THUD" again i heard the sound breaking me off my thoughts. It was coming from the direction of bathroom. I rushed towards the direction of the sound.

I saw Ri on the floor. Her face was pale as if she saw a ghost. She was sweating badly. She was struggling to get up.

I speedily hurried towards her and asked cupping her face between my palms, "Ri, what happened? How did you fall down? Did you get hurt?".....

She said,"Da...Dai..(but came as a whisper),...in..inside...the....ba..th.room"... She could not speak a single sentence properly without stammering. It worried me.

When i turned around, the bathroom door was slightly open... There was a strange unpleasant odour intoxicating the atmosphere resembling yesterday.... My heart started beating wildly when my senses suspected something worse. I was totally stunned...my jaw dropped on the floor. Without knowing i spoke, "It is freaking crazy. WHAT THE HELL".

As i got inside, i realized something  "it is some serious s***".

I saw freaking 9 dead cats on our bathroom floor drained out of blood. I just could not look at the floor now. It was horrific. I felt nauseated. When i gazed around, the walls were scribbled with some deep sh*t with blood. It was written, "I LOVE U BABY GIRL, I ONLY LOVE YOU", "YOU ARE MINE", THIS TIME YOU CAN'T ESCAPE FROM MY GRASP",etc... The wall was full of infuriating and scary phrases. Full of crap!

The whole bathroom either had spilled blood or blood stains... In simple words, it was bloody. Along with that some photos of Ri was also there which had bloody handprints. I felt as if seeing a horror movie. And some freaking crazy emojis with blood. It gave me goosebumps. This is really scary. No, no, no, this is beyond scary and totally abnormal.

A sudden shiver ran through my spine when i looked at the mirror, i was beyond shocked. My senses were flooded with fear. The creepiest thing i've ever seen in my life was just in front of my eyes:

"BABY GIRL, I'M COMING FOR U...THIS TIME YOU'LL NOT BE ABLE TO ESCAPE AND BE READY FOR THE PUNISHMENT FOR LEAVING ME BEHIND ALL ALONE...I HOPE YOU ENJOY MY PRESENT. THIS IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF THE FUTURE, THERE IS MORE BLOOD FOR YOU TO SEE. YOUR COUNTDOWN STARTS NOW.

               I LOVE U BABY GIRL....

                                       -YOUR BLOODY HUBBY

" oh my god" seeing it i couldn't help but get shocked. I could not understand what in the world was happening around us. I whisper screamed.."WTH...WHO IS THIS BLOODY PSYCHO"....Then i heard someone sobbing.

I suddenly realized who it was. I ran back to her. She was shaking and sweating more comparing before. She was a total mess. I crouched and hugged her. She hugged me back tight. I slowly patted her back in an attempt to calm her down.

I broke the hug and said, "Ri, i'm here, it's going to be fine, calm down". I gave her a warm kiss on her forehead reassuringly. She slowly calmed down but i could see the fear evident in her eyes. Then she walked towards the bed with my support and sat down leaning on the headboard. I poured a glass of water and she gulped it down at one go.

I said, " Ri, this is getting serious, we should inform him. We already hid something big and signifucant about Sam. And now it's all a mess. I can't risk anymore, It's some serious sh*t". She said, "bu..but...if he knows he will..." i cut her off in the middle.."i'm calling him and that's final". She again said,"please...." I gave her a death glare and she shut her mouth. This girl is really crazy, even after all this mess she is stopping me from reaching him. I grabbed my phone and called him. He picked his phone.

On the call,

Daisy: hello

Unknown: hey! Wassup?

Daisy: i'm good...

Unknown: how is my little devil(lazy) and love(excited)

Daisy: that...that...

Unknown: what happened? Why are u stammering.... (sudden change in tone)

Daisy: can you please come to our apartment?..mm.. like now (hella nervous)

Unknown: it's not like u, What's the matter...? Is there a problem? cold'

Daisy: ye..yes...

Someone: f***... I will be there as soon as i can...(cold and worried)'

Riya POV

I am really scared after seeing that horror scripted in my bathroom.My crazy mind kept on screaming the odds - 'it's him...he's back.' No, no, it can't be. He cannot find me. But i don't anna believe it. I know I'm safe. I wish it better not be him. My conscience interrupted, 'If it's him, this time you cannot escape his claws'.

Dai went to bring something for us to eat and drink to keep ourselves engaged and diverted. To calm myself, i fixed my gaze at the window. It was raining heavily. I love rainy seasons a lot. But today, I was continuously having a weird feeling that something bad is gonna happen. And I don't know what more bad can happen when everything is already in it's worst state. Let me clear your doubts, i have very strong instincts.

How are we going to find Sam? I don't know how she is or in what state she is. And what will i say when he confronts me about Sam?

UNKNOWN  POV

Somewhere in a room... The whole room was filled with her photos. Sniffs her scent and groans..." This is just a small gift my love, i have more and more surprises for u" smirks.... " How dare u forget me and move on...You better be ready for everything because once i get you back, you will never be able to leave my side. I'm not letting u go again my love..NEVER EVER..."...hahahahaha.....hahah.... laughs evilly.
