Once there lived a Fox, who was the most handsome from that forest. He loved playing tricks on the other animal and he was very cunning. Sometimes, he would take the bear honey or steal the birds egg. All animals in the forest were aware of the Fox nature.
One fine afternoon Fox saw a beautiful Crane with a perfect feature near his house. The Crane had come come from the another forest. Fox get a new idea of prank he went to the crane and said " Hi Miss, You seem to be new here please accept my invitation to join me for dinner tonight", she accepted the invitation, she thought that the fox very polite, little did she not know he is prankster.
In night she came to the fox house. he welcome her with a warm smile and make her sit in the dinner table. He prepared soup for her. Now it's time for the fox trick to reveal. The Fox served in a shallow plates. He knew that the crane would not be able to drink with her long beak.The Fox quickly licked his soup, he ask the Crane "How was the soup?" He smiled and told her"Let me finish for you"and he finish the soup. The Crane understood that she had been tricked.
The Crane wanted to teach the fox lesson . She too invited the fox for dinner tomorrow night. He gladly accepted it ,the Fox was expecting a tasty meal and so he didn't eat the entire day. At that night the crane welcome and said "Please wait for a while dinner is not ready "she let him sit on the dinner table. The Crane made the fox wait for a very long time, the delicious smell of the soup made the fox hungrier. At last she served the soup in two long and narrow pots and said "Sorry for the delay, Please enjoy the meal I hope you like it"
The Fox tried to drink but he was unable to do, meanwhile the Crane put her long beak inside the pot and drank the soup. She saw the fox was unable to drink. After completing her meal, the Crane asked the same thing "Why didn't you drink the soup Mr.Fox I think you didn't like it, if you don't like it then don't drink I will drink for you " And saying that , clever Crane took the pot from the Fox hand and drank the soup. The Fox had to go to bed hungry that night. The Fox knew that he had been tricked by the Crane from that day Fox never tried to tricked anyone. He understood what it felt like to be tricked.The clever Crane has taught him a lesson that he would never forget.
Naturally he fall in love with the beautiful Crane he asked for his love for the Crane and she accepted him, and the get married.
Happily ever after .
Once upon a time, in a forest, there lived a cuckoo. She hada lovely voice. Whenever she sang a song, all animals in the forest would gather around her " Her voice is heavenly and pure. We have never heard anyone sing so beautifully" they would say. The cuckoo's voice was so sweet that the leaves and flowers danced at her voice. These animals praised her and eagerly waited to hear her sing. Even the king of the jungle, the lion was pleased too.
...Hearing all this time, the cuckoo thought "I must be divine bird! God has made me special. I am superior to all". The cuckoo become too arrogant. She started to ignore all the birds. Many birds and animals tried to advise her. A wise bird said "You are making a mistake by ignoring us. Don't be proud of your voice. Live happily with everyone else. When you are in trouble, we will help you. The winter season is about to arrive. The other bird will help you build a strong nest and store enough food for winter." But the Cuckoo did not pay any attention to his advice. One by one, the other birds started to ignore her too....
...Then, the winter came. Along with winter came snow, cold air and wind. All the birds has built strong nests and stored enough food so that they stored enough food so that they could survive the terrible weather. But the Cuckoo was suffering a lot. The snow and wind made her wings damp (slightly wet). She didn't have food. She was hungry and sick. None of the birds and animals came to help her. The Cuckoo fainted due to the cold weather and hunger. At first, the birds did not know about it. Then one day wise bird saw the Cuckoo in a miserable condition....
...At the wise bird's behest, the other birds took the cuckoo to the former house and gave her food. They took care of her despite their anger. After a few days,the Cuckoo regained her consciousness. When she saw that she was laying down in a warm room and the birds were taking care of her, she felt ashamed of herself! She realised her mistake. She understood that her voice alone was not everything. At that time of trouble only friends and well-wishers helped her. She apologized to the birds and animal and said, "I have understood my mistake. I am sorry, please forgive me". The bird forgave her. And the Cuckoo , a wiser bird lived together and sang happily with the others....
A monkey lived on the branches of huge tree that stood in the middle of a forest. The monkey was very greedy. He always wanted more of everything and was never satisfied. The other monkey often cautioned him. Beware, friend!" they would say. "Greed is never good. It might get into trouble some day." But the greedy monkey would not reform his ways.
One day, a royal procession happened to pass through the forest. The king, followed by his guards, was on his way to some other kingdom. The sun was right overhead as the procession reached the middle of the forest. "We shall halt here for lunch," ordered the king. The guards brought their horses to a halt and camped around a tree. It was the greedy monkey's home tree. The king went inside a tent to take rest till the guards served lunch. One of the guards spread some gram on the ground to dry. The gram was to feed the horses.
All this while, the monkey had been watching from the top of the tree. "Ah! fresh gram!" thought monkey, his mouth watering. "But how do I get to eat it?. The others were busy doing some other work, and for a while a patch of grams was left unguarded.
"There is my chance!" thought the monkey and climbed down the tree swiftly. Then he pounced upon the patch of gram and grabbed a fistful, he picked some more in his other fist bas well. Not satisfied yet, the greedy monkey popped the grams in the mouth full and both fists clinched he began to climb back home.
Hardlyhad the monkey climbed up a few paces, a gram slipped off his fist and well on the ground. "Oh, I can't lose that!" thought the monkey and climbed down to pick up the gram with clenched fists. Still greed would not allow the monkey to let go of the gram!.
He once again tried to pick up the fallen gram with his hands already full. This time some more grams fell off his fists. "No....no! cried the monkey and he opened his mouth, some more gram fell from his mouth. He frantically jumped left and right to collect his fallen grams. In this confusion, his fists loosened and all the grams got scattered on the ground!.
'Oh, what a mess I've made," the monkey muttered. As he was trying to pick up all scattered grams, the kings guards came back. They saw the monkey stealing the grams meant for horses. "Ae.....ae catch him!'' they shout. Even before the monkey realized, he was caught by the guards. After giving him a sound thrashing, the guards chased the monkey away from there. The greedy monkey finally learnt his lesson the hard way.
