" may I come in sir ??".there she was , the girl I was waiting for standing at the doorstep with a cane in her hand and a gentle smile on her lips.

"are you the new student ??" the teacher asked. " yes sir "she replied. " ohh come in ".The teacher said. she unfolded her cane and reached at the middle, where our teacher was standing.

"so class this is your new classmate. please introduce yourself lady." " hii .my name is rashmi paul . I hope we can be friends " she introduced her self .

I didn't needed that introduction though, I knew her more than she said in that introduction. I knew her past and I was there to dig the hidden secrets . the class got noise while students were checking out the new girl weirdly. " are you blind ??" one of the students asked. I thought the girl who asked the question was blind, didn't she saw her with the cane entering the class? how stupid!. but the new girl replied with a yes without any hesitation , the gentle smile still crept over her lips." okay silence !! "The teacher dismissed the class and their curiosities.

" okay Miss. Rashmi this is Mr. Das your English teacher "." Hello sir , it's nice to meet you "she bowed at the teacher. I knew she was somehow a self dependent girl . her one defect wouldn't stop her from living her desirable lifestyle. That's why she left that blind school and transferred here .

she wanted to show that she can live her life without anyone's help despite being a blind. Hence, when the teacher insisted to help her to reach at the desk , she declined his offer politely and just asked for the directions.

thanking the teacher she followed the directions accurately ,which amazed me. I heard that when people loses their one sense, their other senses gets sharper and now I witnessed that in real life .

in the middle of the class the teacher asked us to write down some important notes and that's when I realized I forgot to bring a pen. cursing under my breath I scolded myself. how stupid of me ! . my gaze turned toward the pen case next to me as I slowly tried to steal a pen from there. I was stealing , which was totally opposite of what I had used to do . she wouldn't see me stealing , she wouldn't know , would she ?

But too bad . she caught hand as my eyes widened. "what are you trying to do ??" she asked , her brows furrowed together ." ohh sorry . I didn't mean to scare you.. can you give me one of your pen ?? actually I forgot mine in the locker . I lied ."ohh sure ."she said before handing me a pen from her pen case.

Finally the class ended as I put my books inside my bag and walked behind her . I called her "hey!". But I guess she wasn't aware of my presence behind her, cause she flinched.

"sorry sorry . I didn't mean to -" I was about to apologize . I didn't have any intention to scare her." it's okay " she said as she exhaled.

"by the way I am... kookie ,your classmate. " I introduced her as I wanted to befriend her, I had to ,cause it was the first part of my plan. she got confused. I cursed under my breath as I realized the reason behind her confusion. really ? kookie?! couldn't I find a better name ?!!

" umm..sorry to ask but is this your actual name ??" . she asked. "uh...yeah actually my mom thought it was a cute name " i blurted out whatever sh*t came in my brain.

"ohh...I get it . hi my name you already know but you can call me Rush" . I held her hand for a handshake. her face turned pinkish as she blinked several time before letting go of my hand . she was cute ,so was her habits .

"uh ...can you read this and tell me which is my next class ..actually it's not written in braille." she said handing me a piece of paper . I took it and read it. " sure ...your next class is math, and we have same class so let's go ." thank god I had same classes as her , that meant I had more time to spend with her, to get close to her.

"ohh ..wait let me take my cane first." I stopped her. I held her wrist turning her to face me ." you don't need them when I am with you " I said . her ears turned crimson , her cheeks got more pinkish. she looked adorable when blushed.

we were walking to our next class through the less crowded hallway . she was silent the whole time as she followed me like a obedient child . I took a look at her . her cheeks were were flushed, which made her look cute .

I then thought ' why not tease her a little? ' ."are you okay ?? why your face is so red ??" I asked her. I played dump, as if I didn't knew why she was shy ."n-no-nothing ..." she shuttered. God! it was so fun to tease her , her reactions were too cute , which can melt anyone .

I couldn't stop myself from giggling at the cute creature beside me . "don't tell it's your first time holding a boy's hand." ofcourse I knew she didn't have any guy friend before . But I just liked to tease her . her eyes widened as she didn't expected from me that question. she blushed more if she could, blinking several times out of habit.

"hehe..you look those cute manga girls when they blush ." I said as she turned her head other side covering her face with her free hand. "please stop ....you are not helping me instead of making me more embarrass." it caused me giggle more awing at her shyness ."HAHAH ..okay okay sorry ." I should give the poor girl a little break from blushing otherwise she would turn crimson .

The second class ended too.

" rush your next class is philosophy but mine is computer class " I said while looking at her , who was busy putting her books inside her bag.

" ohh okay then "

I said as I  packed my stuffs and I  turned to leave for the next class but I  bumped into something hard. I got up and walked to her side to help her . I stood behind her waiting for her to finish her packing. when she was done , she turned only to bump to chest.

"Ouch!!"

she winced and rubbed her forehead . I was about to apologize but stopped when I saw was bemused face. I watched her quitely as she raised her hand and started to trail them on my chest. Now I was bemused. what was she trying to do?. then I realized that she couldn't see, that means she must be wondering what object did she bumped to ? . I was controlling my laugh and watching her movements. I just couldn't wait to see her reaction! as her hands reached upward to my face her eyes widened.

" OH MY GOD!! I am really very sorry  .I thought it was a wall ". she bowed several times while apologizing. she really thought my chest as a wall? wow I was so proud of myself, the sweats and energy I spent on gym didn't go in vain . seeing to shocked yet terrified face I couldn't help but giggle." it's okay * giggles * it's me kookie ...c'mon let me drop you to your next class " and she exhaled in relief. I didn't how awkward it would be for her if she bumped into other boys instead of me. "it's okay  kookie don't bother yourself I can go by myself ". she said .

but I didn't wanted to leave her alone. cause , first : as much as long I would stay with her , it was good for me , I could know more about her , which was the reason I was there and second: though she was just a person who will help me with my mission but being friend with her wouldn't hurt right? as much as she tried to look strong but from inside she was a fragile and I wanted to protect her as much as I could.

" who told you I am bothering myself??.I just want to help my new friend .now c'mon otherwise we will be late". "but-" the girl was stubborn but I was more stubborn than her. before she could make a word I put my hand around her shoulder pulling her with me and being careful at the same time .

After the third class I went to pick her up from her class but she wasn't there . I furrowed by brows. the class just finished , where did she go ? . I started to worry , not because she was blind , I know it wasn't a problem, she could take care of herself but I was worried cause of the danger that was roaming around her since she first stepped in the school. I jogged toward the locker . a wave of relief washed through me when I saw her there.

" hey!!" I called her while panting. " hey...are you okay? " ." why didn't you wait for me to pick you up ??". I asked not caring to answer her first.

"I can come alone kookie dont worry ". ' I know you can but I am afraid that you won't be able to protect yourself from the danger ' I thought. I sighed.

"fine" I said not wanting to argue on that issue. then I remembered something and thought to have a little fun .

"by the way ...do you like your new nickname ??"

I asked raising a brow, the mischievous smirk never left my lips as I saw her ears turning crimson.

" Wh-what nickname ??"

she shuttered, blinking several times as it was one of her habits that I figured out. she just denied but reaction was saying something else.

" don't try to act like you don't remember ..I still remember, your face was like a tomato when I called you sugarbun ."

that's was it , I pulled the last string and she was a blushing mess.

"I-I- I wasn't blushing."

she was still denying but I knew how much that nickname affected her. so I again called her .

"  really??... sugarbun?" 

she covered her face trying to hide her flustered state which I already saw. I laughed

" you're such a bad liar.."

I said still giggling looking at her shy state.

" hey Rush!!"

there she comes, my partner Nibedita . To Rashmi she was a friend , but she didn't knew it was all a part of my plan, making Nibe her friend was one of the part of our plan.

"hii nibe .how was your class ??"

Rush asked her .

" oh it was ok .by the way who is this boy ?? don't tell me you already made a boyfriend in your first day at school!"

I must say Nibe was good at acting. I almost thought she wasn't Nibe , the girl who was standing infront of me was maybe her twin until she smirked at me and winked.

"NO NO he is my friend. kookie she is Nibedita , she helped to find my class , I met her at the office room while I was taking my class routine and nibedita he is kookie."

Rush quickly cleared the misunderstanding which didn't even existed except to her. I and Nibe greeted each other like we do when we met new people.

After the small conversation at the lockers , we reached at the cafeteria as it was already lunch break. But as soon as we entered there ,it got noisy.

"uhh....kookie why there's so much noise ?? what is the gossips about??"

Rush asked which I was about to answer when Nibe cutt me off.

"actually-"

" Don't tell me you're the new basketball captain!! OMG !! "

that girl really knew how to act realistically. I myself got amused as I chuckled.

"yeah ..I am ...we didn't met before cause I am junior, we don't have same class "

I said . yup, I joined the school few weeks ago so that I could figure out how to start our plan , so that I could figure out the layout of the school in case some emergency show up. I was good at sports so I joined the basketball team....I mean why not !?

"look at that blind girl ..she just came and already trying to get popular boy's attention..such a attention seeker!"
