All my loved ones were fighting. Not with each other. Why? Just because of a jealous bitch. Wherever I looked there was blood, and people fighting. Just then,

"Destiny, you've always had took what rightfully should have belonged to me! Popularity, beauty, even Damon! YOU AND YOUR HOE BEST FRIEND, FAITH SHALL REGRET EVER MAKING AN ENEMY OF ME. NOW ALL OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS SHALL WITNESS YOUR DEATH!" Jessica cackled.

She raised her gun and pulled the trigger multiple times.

I couldn't move. I froze. All around me I heard loved ones saying and NO! And HOW DARE YOU! And DESTINY! I could see them trying to reach me before the bullets pierced all over my body.

Just then a masked figure hugged me protectively. The person's figure definitely looked like a girl. All the bullets ended up penetrating her body. That made me wake up from my dazed state. I quickly took out my gun, aimed at Jessica, and fired numerous bullets at her.

As I slowly lowered my gun, the masked person started to fall. For me, it looked like slow motion. Before she hit the floor, I quickly caught her. But because of the impact, her masked fell.

I gasped. So did my family and friends who had finally reached me.

"Brianna?" My eyes widened in disbelief. "Why are you here?"

I didn't understand. Brianna was my step-sister. And let's just say we've never gotten along. AT. ALL. She's always been bullying me, framing me, and let's not forget about cursing.

She smiled weakly.

I started trying to stop the blood.

"It's no use, stop trying to waste your time," she said softly, blood now trickling from her mouth.

Though Brianna wasn't at all the nicest, I wasn't going to let her die. I couldn't. I had already lost a sister. There's no way I was going to lose another one.

Damon started to help me.

"Stop," she uttered. Though she sounded a lot weaker than before, it was a stern voice.

Damon and I stopped.

She started to cough blood.

"I know you must be wondering WTH I'm doing here, but as you can probably see-"

She gasped for breath.

"I don't have much time left"

"Though I know you guys don't trust me-"

"Who would after what you've done," muttered Faith.

"As expected, well-"

She coughed again, more blood coming out this time.

"Get my locket, you know which one, Destiny. Open it and inside should be directions and a key" Brianna's voice was barely audible now.

"Inside the place should be explanations, and there's one for each person here."

After that, she took closed her eyes, smiled, a smile I would have never imagine seeing in a million years, and took her last breath.

Unknowingly my eyes started to water. The tears slowly dripped off my face. I started to feel a pain that hurt more than bullets piercing me. I just didn't know why. Why would I feel more pain for her than when she fired the only person that loved me in my childhood?

"Are you okay?" Damon whispered in my ear.

"I don't know" I responded, "She's given me more pain than love, yet I don't know why my chest hurts,"

My loved ones started to comfort me.

"Why don't we bury her, and then go to the destination she gave us?" My dad proposed.

"Is it safe though?" Gabriel, Damon's cousin wondered.

"Let's do it, please!" I pleaded,

I didn't know why I would plead just to go somewhere that could be a trap. But somehow my instinct told me if I didn't, I would regret it.

Right now we were heading to the destination Brianna gave us. I had very mixed feelings. In some ways I'm grateful, and at the same time, I hate her. I hate her for all the things she did against us. But thankful cause she saved Destiny.

"Do you think this is a trap?" Destiny who's head was on my lap asked.

"Maybe," I responded, "Though if it was, then why would she give up her life to save you, just to kill you again?"

"You have a good point," Mr. Callisto, Destiny's dad said.

Then we stopped. What was in front of us was a house. Its roof tiles were starting to fall. The paint was chipping off. And the front yard had weeds all over it.

"How's this place going to explain anything?" Kimberly asked, Kimberly was Faith's sister.

"Let's go inside and see," proposed Alexander, my best friend.

We went into the house. I heard Destiny gasp and saw her eyes widened. I myself was surprised. Inside here was high-tech technology. Everything here was clean and brand new. And despite the outside appearance, the inside was ginormous. There was even an indoor pool!

"Let's divide into groups and explore. If you guys find anything just say it through the mini communication device on your earings," Gabriel said.

"OK," we all responded

"Let's go into this room," I said

We ended up dividing into 3 groups. The elders in one. And the ones from our generation were divided into two groups.

We went in. Inside were shelves. On top of each shelf was a name. I looked around. There was a shelf for each one of us. I talked through my earpiece. We found something. Go to the room on the left of the gym.

After a little while, everyone was in here. Well to be exact at their corresponding shelf. I went to mine. But before that, I looked around. There was even a shelf for my parents? That's very surprising.

On my shelf, the top row had notebooks filled with writing in them. The second row had an album filled with photos.

The third row had gifts.

I decided to look through the second row first. When I opened the first album, my eyes softened, and I started to smile.

"Hey everyone, look at this," I called out.

Hey peeps? What's up? This chapter, I will admit was kind of boring. But the next chapter will be more entertaining. Promise! Well for now, toodles! (Please don't mind what's happening next, I need at least 500 words)

Like most of the shelves around me, the top row had notes or books, the middle row had albums, and the third row had gifts. I started to get a notebook from the top row. Just then Damon called us to where he was standing.

We all started to crowd around him. He showed us the album. My eyes widened. Inside there were photos and labels on when they were taken. Though some of the labels look like a seven-year-old wrote them.

"That's....me?"

We started to look at them.

Baby Destiny age 1, in her first birthday. 

In the next picture, a girl about 6 or 7 was sitting, baby Destiny on her lap.

"That's...Genesis with you," My dad's eyes started to get teary.

I looked back at the picture,

"So that's my sister, she's pretty," I said while sniffing.

Genesis had silver hair with bright golden eyes that looked like the sun. She looked a lot like dad.

The next picture was Destiny and Genesis at the park. And so on. There were also a lot of pictures with their dad and mom.

But then after Destiny was at the age of 3, the pictures started to change.

"That's when the misunderstanding happened," My dad said sadly.

Mrs. Sardothien, Damon's mom, started to comfort Dad.

The next picture was Destiny, her mom, a guy, and a girl. This girl looked a lot like Genesis but her hair color and eye color were different. The girl's hair color was a reddish, scarlet color. And her eyes were a turquoise green.

The same hair and eye color as Brianna.

"Genesis must have awakened her powers, to be able to change her hair and eye color," Mr. Sardothien commented.

"What power?" Faith asked,

"There are some ancient families that were descendants of "Gods", they later found out they were spirits, but those from that lineage had powers they could awaken," I explained.

"And depending on how strong the original spirit was, that's how many powers you had or could awake, you can also change your appearance" My dad added.

"But, when you change your appearance, it only changes your hair and eye color to your original spirit ancestor," Damon said.

I turned to him.

"How do you know?"

"Your family isn't the only one that has powers." he pointed out,

"Also, when one awakens their powers, they usually inherit the power from their blood lineage." Mrs. Sardothien who stopped comforting dad said.

"For example, the Callisto family has the power to erase memories and recuperating them, Destiny, your Mom's family had the power to look into the future, in detail. Though they couldn't change it even if they wanted to," Dad explained.

"So Genesis definitely had both of those powers, plus probably one of her own specialty," Mr. Sardothien said finally.

"Ok, now let's look at the next picture," Gabriel quickly murmured, "I want to open one of the gifts,"

"Okay," I said while flipping a page.

The next one wasn't a picture about me or Genesis. It was the funeral of Mom. Everyone was crying in that picture except the guy from before. I recognized that guy.

"That dude is Daniel Knight!" I exclaimed.

At first, I didn't recognize him because he looked younger, but now I did. He was my step-dad.
