She walked out of the luxurious hotel, tears rolling down her beautiful face. But she was crying out of happiness. The feeling of freedom was something she had dreamt about from four years. She wiped her tears and smiled like an idiot.

Showing all her teeth. Anyone who saw her would think she was crazy. But Angelene was far from that. She would rather become crazy than to be crazy in love like she was before.

Angelene, short for Angelene Dallarosa, 20 years old. She had no background, no family, nothing. Being so Innocent, she was very emotional and loved with all her heart. But she despised love after what happened to her.

Her first love was an experience which changed her perspective about love. Antonio, he was the one she loved. But he never loved her back, not even see her as a human. She was so madly in love with him that she would be considered stupid if anyone saw how he treated her.

But that's just the way she was. She fell in love with Antonio Sophomore, she loved him for more than three years. Yes, that's how crazy love can make you. But he tortured her physically, mentally and emotionally. It all started years ago.

four years back~~

"I love you Antonio" a girl with brunette hair said.

"you really think I'd love someone like you?" he mocked her.

She didn't shed any tears however, because she knew her crush more than anyone else. Antonio Sophomore was one of the popular guys at her university. But she didn't love him because of his popularity like the other girls, she loved him for who he was.

He dated a lot of girls in the past and was known as a playboy. But all the girls still threw themselves on him because he was rich. He belonged to a prestigious family and he was quiet good looking.

He loved many girls but they all left him after they got what they wanted. But Angelene was always put on her love for him. He rejected her more than a thousand times but she still loved him.

He hated her because she wanted a serious relationship which he didn't want. She had loved him for one whole year now. He finally got sick and tired of her confessing to him over and over again and snapped at her.

"I hate you! I don't want you don't you get it you dumb nerd?"

"Ok...let's start hanging out so you can decide whether you still hate me" she pleaded him.

"fine whatever...I need a slave anyway" he said as he threw his bag at her. He knew she wasn't gonna give up.

She took it however because she was stupid and madly in love with the guy. All the times she spent with him were of torture. He would always discourage her regarding her looks and say she was ugly and although she felt like knives were being stabbed into her heart, she smiled and let it off.

The first day they started hanging out, Angelene looked really beautiful. Her beautiful long brunette hair left open reaching her hips, her emerald green eyes glowing with innocence, her full lips covered with a bit of lip tint. She preferred wearing loose clothes so she wore a simple white loose fit dress with long sleeves.

He saw her and facepalmed himself.

"honestly Angelene...you look so ugly even a crow is better than you" he said.

She felt like her heart just shattered into a thousand pieces but she just laughed and let it off, little did she know this was nothing compared to the pain she was gonna undergo.

Antonio actually thought she looked kinda cute but he just wanted to get rid of her. They went to a café near by. They sat facing eachother and the waiter arrived. She was a beautiful lady and Antonio seemed to be drooling over her, this hurt Angelene.

"what would you like sir?"

"o-oh...a cappuccino please"

"and what about your girlfriend?"

"she's not my girlfriend! she's just a random stranger" he said in a defensive way.

The waiter looked at Angelene in a weird way but she smiled.

"I'll have a cappuccino too" she said and the waiter nodded and left.

She wanted to cry but she stopped herself. She still refused to give up on him though.

Hey! so I'm warning you guys the first 17-18 chapters are gonna be a little boring. It's about her suffering and what turned her to the person she's about to become. But if you don't have patience you can just skip it and go to the 19th chapter because that's where the main plot begins. But I do think you should read these chapters if you wanna understand the story better.

Even after being insulted like that, she never wanted to give up on him. The café lady really disliked Antonio for the way he behaved with Angelene. The next day, Angelene dialed Antonio's number still hesitating.

"Hello?" he yelled.

"um...hello? Antonio?"

"what do you want now?"

"will...will you go to the fair with me?" she asked.

"whatever" he said and hung up.

They arrived at the fair and Angelene looked stunning as always. She wore a simple pink top with some black full pants and pink sneakers. She looked around at all the rides and became very excited. She took Antonio's arm trying to pull him towards a ride.

"Antonio let's go on that one! it looks so much fun" she said. He stopped her.

"No" he said. She looked at him with a confused face.

"But why?" she asked.

"Because that's only for people who are brave unlike you who is not only a wimp but also a coward! you look really ugly today by the way" he said.

She looked down not knowing what to say. She wanted to cry but stopped herself. She just looked up smiled bitterly and nodded at him. She didn't dare leave his side though so he kept insulting her that day. After the day ended, she ran to her best friend, Adriana's home.

"Gelly...he's not right for you...why don't you just leave him?" Adriana asked as Angelene sobbed in her lap.

"I can't Dria....I really love him...why won't he understand?" she asked and sobbed again.

"Girl...he's a jerk don't cry over him...he doesn't deserve you" she said. The whole day Angelene felt horrible because of him. But she still loved him dearly.

Angelene received a call from Antonio. She panicked because he never called her. But she answered anyway.

"Hello?" she spoke softly.

"Lift my phone soon you ugly little brat" he said.

"so-sorry" she replied.

"anyway...do you wanna come to the beach with me and my friends?" he asked. Her eyes lit up, because she wanted to spend time with him.

"yes!" she said.

"fine...I'll pick you up soon be ready" he said.

"okay an-" he hung up before she spoke.

She got dressed. She wore a beautiful yellow summer dress. She waited for Antonio and he arrived after a while. She sat in his car and they drove to the beach. When they arrived, she saw all his friends.

One of them was eyeing her which made her uncomfortable. He went to Antonio.

"Wow bro your chic is hot" he said.

"she ain't my chic... she's not worth being one" he said. The guy smirked.

After a while when everyone was playing with a ball, Angelene excused herself to another side of the beach. The guy followed her. She saw him and was surprised. He was eyeing her again. She as uncomfortable but smiled awkwardly. He smirked and came closer to her.

He tried touching her waist but she moved back immediately.

"Hey what the hell are you doing?!"

He pulled her to him and whispered in her ear.

"he doesn't want you...anyway I'm way better than him so why don't you let me take you?" he asked.

She pushed him away and ran to Antonio. She was in tears now. She pointed at the guy.

"Antonio...he...tried to touch me.." she said.

"wow...what a liar! she tried to seduce me dude...I told her I didn't want her but she pushed herself on me...and when I rejected her she's doing this drama" he said.

Antonio came up to them and slapped her. She looked at him in shock. He has never raised his hand on her before. He threw his hand around his friend's neck and looked at Angelene.

"he's my friend...he would never do anything like that! stop trying to break my bonds Angelene" he said. But then Angelene felt a hand on her shoulder it was Madelyn, a friend of Antonios'.

"I saw it Antonio! she's telling the truth"

"not you too Madelyn...this bitch sure can manipulate huh" he taunted her.

She was so hurt that she ran away from there with everyone staring at her. Madelyn tried to stop her but couldn't. She called Adriana and told her everything. Adriana was fuming with anger. How dare he treat her like that!

"Gelly....you have to get out of there! I'll come and pick you up stay right there"

"o*sob* ok...*sob*"

Adriana arrived in an hour and took Angelene back to her place. She comforted her best friend and tried to feed her something, but she refused because she was still very hurt.

She couldn't believe that even after all this humiliation, Angelene still loved him! what did he to do her that she was so madly in love with him? And believe it or not, Angelene suffered like this for four years.

Body shaming, commenting on looks, degrading her, humiliating her, physically mistreating her, not trusting her, all this was not even half of how Antonio would torture her.

Because of all this Angelene had very low self-esteem. She hated herself for being like that and she blamed herself for not being loved. She had never received love from anyone other than her best friend.

She had no parents, no friends, no family, nothing. She was an orphan whose parents died when she was very young. But she was always taught to love others and have a golden heart.

She remembered all the times she spent wishing to be loved by someone, anyone. So she decide she would try her best to make Antonio love her. She dialed his number.

"h-hello?"

"what do you want now? break more of my friendships?"

"Antonio....*sob* I'm sorry...I swear I didn't do anything...please forgive me if I hurt your feelings"

"whatever" He hung up.

She cried herself to sleep that night. Adriana sighed in disbelief, how could she still love him after all that he had done? Angelene was really something. She would do anything for love because she needed it so desperately.
