I entered my old room and exhaled the sweet smell of my room "Everything is in the exact order as I left it" I said to myself, my wolf was happy to be back from England to my homeland (California). My parents thought it would be a great opportunity for me to explore and study there but I think there is something else that I don't know.

"I should get some sleep before the celebration starts". Recently my father fought with his enemy and won so he was holding a victory party,of course I saw this as an opportunity and a reason to come back. My father is an alpha of the 'silver luna pack'. twenty years ago the black swan pack attacked us, they took our lands and some of our pack members to be their slaves. My grandfather was killed saving my father. From then my father's goal was to avenge his father and to take back what's ours. He was merely sixteen when all his alpha responsibilities came to him. He struggled every day to make our pack stable and stronger. And now he has accomplished his goal I can sense his wolf is at ease.

I was awakened by the sound of knocking on my door. I got up, half-awake, and open the door. " Geez, Leah this is not the time for snooze get up and get dressed". Hazel said in a rush. She is my older sister and my role model. She's strong, brave, and gorgeous. She's also my best friend whom I trust the most. " ok..ok you don't have to nag all the time " I said. " That's my job Lizzie as a big sis. ok no time for chit chat, get ready and come downstairs " she left after saying in a haste. I quickly slid my black 'body con' dress and lightly did my makeup, I left my brown hair open and scraped my stilettos.

There was a lot of gathering, I could sense different packs including royal pack as well. Ohh..did I mention that our pack was quite famous and one of the royalties. Those who have royal blood have a larger wolf and are ten times stronger than other wolves. There are six royal families, 'The Leon family, The Zack family, The Kingsley family and the other three are unknown, Only a few know them including my dad .

I saw my dad and mom chatting with guests or should I say, Alpha Leon, and luna Mathie. "Lizzie" as I heard my name from the familiar voice, I turned around and saw my brother running and hugging me. " Hey bro, long time no see, did you miss me" His name is Tristan and he is 3 years younger than me, "miss..you..huh, why would I miss you," he said while grinning. "oh..really!". "Yes, really but I am glad your back", as I could say anything a voice came from his back "Tristan ". It was Elijah the beta and best friend of dad. " hi Elijah, how are you doing" he pulled me in a hug and said, "I am fine what about you". "I am also fine" I replied, "sorry Lizzie but your father called Tristan, we'll catch up later".... " ohk I'll see you later"

I went to the backyard to get some fresh air. As there was a lot of gathering it was suffocating and I hate cramped and crowded places. I was sipping champagne from my glass and thinking about Damien, my childhood friend. " I wonder how he's doing!, Is he alright?" He was so sweet and kind towards me, the last time I saw him was five years back when uncle Zack died *his father*, he didn't even show up to say goodbye to me... I was just wondering about him, Then I turned around and saw Damien, his black hairs was down and he was wearing a black tux, he was looking flawless, He changed so much these past years but one thing was the same 'his dark blue eyes which I admired most about him since our childhood'. Our eyes met and I could feel a spark all over my body and only one thing was repeating in my mind ~mate~. It was hard to digest as my childhood best friend was my mate, he walked towards me and all I could hear was his and my heart beating promptly, the beating was almost as our hearts were the same.

And then he did the last thing I expect him to do. He grabbed my wrist tightly and said "Don't tell anyone that we're mates, and don't come near me from today own wards". and soon after saying these bitter and cold words he left me. The glass slipped from my hand and fell to the ground, it was shattered as my heart was. I fell to my knees and tears were rushing from my eyes. He was not the Damien I once knew and all I could think was being rejected by my mate, by my soulmate~

~At the party~

After a couple of minutes, I stood up while tears were rolling down my cheeks. And I could only think of one thing *leaving this place*. I went inside finding my way as my vision was blurry because of the tears. As I was walking hurriedly, my legs wobbled and I was about to fall, then someone grabbed me from my waist and thankfully this person saved me from falling.

"Thank you," I said while my head was down, I didn't want this person to see me cry.

No prob...Leah, is this you? the person questioned.

I peeked at the unknown person... to my surprise it was Cade.

"****, It is you! why didn't you tell me that you're coming back"

He then noticed my sulking face and tears coming from my eyes.

"Leah, what happened? why are you crying?"

"Did someone hurt you? tell me !"

I hugged him, tears were coming non-stop

"Cade, I wanna leave"

I hugged him tight and buried my face in his chest.

"Please, take me somewhere else, I can't breath in here."

I was taking deep and long breaths, my breathing was getting faster and I was losing consciousness. Cade was concerned and worried, he picked me up and went towards the door.

"Everything will be alright Leah," he said while placing me in the passenger's seat,

I don't know when I got unconscious.

My eyes slowly opened and I saw I strange bedroom. I quickly got up and found myself in the same dress that I wore at the party. When I recollected everything that happened yesterday, my heart throbbed, I was devasted and hurt. Then abruptly the door opened and cade came in.

"Good morning, how did you sleep"

"Good I guess"

"ok go get fresh, and there are some clothes in the bathroom. Hope it fits you, I borrowed them from Mandy.

"uh-huh thanks "

Cade and Mandy are my childhood friends. They are the children of Alpha Kingsley.

Uncle Kingsley and uncle Zack (Damien's father) are my father's best friends and not to forget uncle 'Jacob'. He is a fae and lives in the fae realm but he visits his best friends often. They are a group of four just like us *Me, Mandy, Cade, and Damien.*

I showered and put on the white bra and underwear that were placed beside jeans and a purple coral top. I quickly wore the clothes and brushed my wet hair. When I opened the bathroom door, to my surprise Cade was still there sitting on the couch beside him was a blonde, beautiful woman. Her hazel eyes met mine and she rushed and hugged me

"Leah I missed you so much"

"I've missed you too Mandy"

She then broke the hug and looked at my swollen eyes

"what happened Leah? I saw you yesterday crying, I was coming after you but you and cade had already gone."

I let out a sigh and sat on the edge of the bed.

"ok promise me you won't tell anyone and especially my parents"

"We won't, trust us " Cade replied.

"Umm... I met Damien yesterday, and he is my uhh-m.. ma.. mate but he.."

"Rejected you!, that bastard I will kill him," Cade said

I nodded and sadness rushed all over me.

"How could he do this? I will beat him, Damien you bastard" Mandy said while clenching her fists.

"You can't do that, he's your alpha mandy!"

cade replied.

"So, what I'll still beat him"

"Wait, what! Damien is your alpha?"

"Yea! you didn't know, I recently found my mate and he's the beta of the Golden moon pack "

This makes sense when wolves find their mates from different packs. The she-wolf

have to leave and go to their mate's pack

"Congratulations mandy," I said with a big smile

"Thanks, Leah"

"Cade I wanna go home, can you drop me? My parents must be worried "

" Ok but first eat your breakfast "

"Thanks, but I am not hungry "

"ok let's go, I also want to talk to your dad about some work"

"Oh ok, bye mandy. It was nice to be reunited, see ya!"

"Ok bye and Leah if you need a friend to talk to or a shoulder to cry, don't hesitate and call me "

I was in the silver luna pack. There were three enormous white mansions. Two were for the pack members and the other was for the alpha and their families.

I opened the door and entered the mansion behind me was Cade. I entered the living room thanking cade for everything and then my eyes met the same cold blue eyes, my eyes went wide seeing Damien sitting with mom, dad, and haz.

"Leah! where were you?" dad questioned.

I wanted to answer him but I was unable to do so.

"She was with me, uncle Leon" Cade answered.

"Oh I see you reunited," mom said.

"yea," I said with a shaky smile

"And Leah, Damien will stay over here for a few days, "dad spoke.

"why" I questioned.

" because of some alpha work"

Just great, nothings working out for me

" I am going to my room, see you later "

Cade then hugged me and kissed my cheeks

"ok see you later "

I nodded and then I saw Damien fuming with anger and was giving death glares to Cade.

Did I see right, Nah! he doesn't want me and why would he care about me. He's probably angry seeing me. I then went to my room and laid down on my bed.

I woke up and saw the time, it was seven in the evening. when did I nod off cause the last thing I remembered doing was crying in my bed?

Anyways, I took a nice calming bath and came out, I was surprised to see Damien in my room.

"What are you doing here?"

luckily the towel was wrapped around me, I didn't come out *****. He then surveyed me from head to toe and came near me until my back touched the wall.

"What were you doing with cade! And why is his smell all over you?"

I was surprised and angry at the same time, why is he showing interest in me after all he rejected me.

"it none of you're business " I replied

And the next thing I knew he pinned me against the wall, my hands were above my head and he held my hands rigidly that were hurting.

"It is my business," he said.

"No it's not, remember you rejected me, and now even if I **** cade that's none of your fucking business" I shouted.

What did I just say, oh shit? Damien was vexed.

"Don't forget, you still belong to me"

And then he suddenly kissed me roughly. At first, I struggled but then I gave in because it was hard to resist Damien. This feeling was like heaven, and I didn't want this to stop.

However he quickly backed off, a realization hit him and something was keeping him away from me. I missed his soft lips and the intimacy we had just now

"What's keeping you away from me tell me?"

And then he put on his poker face and whispered'

"You will not have anyone and neither me,

you're worthless, you think I am gonna fall for an ugly woman like you. Even the women I fucked are beautiful and have a nice body"

"Remember you pathetic and worthless woman, your no match to become my packs luna"

And after saying this he left and slammed the door.

I fell to my knees and my heart pained as if a thousand arrows pierced through my heart. I cried and just wanted to kill myself

~ DAMIEN'S POV ~

_IN HIS ROOM_

I fucking hate myself for everything I've done to Leah. She must be in pain because of ME, tears were rolling down my cheeks. From childhood my life was miserable, I wanted to die.

"Why me? Moon goddess."

"You took away my dad and now you're taking the person I love the most! "

I was crying and yelling, I wanted Leah, the only person I need now is her. but after that, I believe she hates me.

I am sorry Leah, this is the only way you are safe and protected.

*Three weeks has passed*

I was still in my bedroom, locked up. I barely slept and ate, that's why I was so weak. I was disgusted by myself for saying those harsh words to her.

Every day my mom and Jace would come knocking on my door and convincing me to eat. Jace is the beta of my pack and one of my closest and trusted friends. He recently found his mate and luckily she was 'Mandy' my childhood friend. Jace was quiet and understanding but Mandy on the other hand was clumsy, full of energy, and acted like a child. They were a perfect, happy couple and deserved each other.

After a couple of minutes, I heard knocks on my door however I ignored it, but a familiar voice came behind the door.

"Open the door! Damy"

It was uncle Leon. Why is he here?

I was not in the mood to talk to him and after breaking his daughter's heart, I wasn't sure how would I face him.

"Open the door damy or else I will tell Leah everything!"

I immediately stood up with the little bit of energy, that was left in me and opened the door.

"Don't do it, uncle Leon!!" I protested.

He came in with the tray of food and put it on the table.

"Eat this and I won't tell her," he said.

"Are you blackmailing me" I questioned with a raised eyebrow?

"Maybe I am"

"Sorry uncle Leon but I don't deserve to eat and be happy after what I had done to Leah," I said while lowering my head.

"It's not your fault, damy. You're just trying your best to protect her, Still, I told you that you can be with her, stop resisting Leah. If anything will come, we all would be prepared"

"But you also know he's so strong and if we fail to protect her, he would take her. Since she's hidden like this, she is protected now. I don't want to risk her and anyone else ."

"Okay... But just so you know you're hurting her and your wolf!!. And I think it's time to tell her. Right? uncle Leon questioned.

"Right!!!.... you should tell her tomorrow because I can sense some danger is coming our way, possibly soon," I said.

"Okay.. But first eat your food, how will you protect Leah like this?".

After saying this he patted my head and went to my walking wardrobe. A while later he came with a black T-shirt and ripped jeans in his hands.

"after eating your food, go get fresh and wear this!!. I'll be waiting downstairs for you" he said while leaving my room.

Uncle Leon is like a father figure to me. After my father's death, he was the one who filled in dad's place, he helped me and made me stronger. I couldn't thank him enough.

I finished my food, showered, and wore the clothes uncle Leon had picked. I went downstairs and saw Jace, he immediately hugged me.

"Stupid, you have a pack to handle however I am glad you're doing fine now "

He broke the hug and I saw uncle Leon behind him.

"Remember damy, your pack is your priority so don't act like it's a child's play," He said in an alpha tone.

"Okay...I won't, uncle Leon"I said with a small smile.

"And you're hurting my daughter, just be with her," he said while a wolfish grin was on his face.

"Al...Alright.....! I will apologize to her and explain everything to her, tomorrow "

"Good... I am looking forward to it "

"Yeah me too!!"

'what will her reaction be?', 'will she still hate me?'I bet she will !!!
