It is a usual day for 17 years old Luna Delaware, in her room she’s laying down on her bed looking up to the white ceiling while her mind is spacing out.

You might think that she is a normal girl laying down on her normal bed and a normal house, except it was not, Luna is sick, very sick, she has this illness that force her to be in quarantine and living in the hospital far far away from home, the hospital located somewhere in the mountains of West Virginia, it’s all trees that Luna could see from her 4th floor window in her room, nothing can Luna really do to kill her boredom everyday, no TV, no DVD player, no entertainment that she usually enjoys at home, in her room there’s only one queen size bed in the middle, small drawer in the corner, and set of a table and chair next to her bed, it feels so empty for a 300 square foot room.

It’s been 9 years since Luna’s been taken to this hospital, she was first diagnosed with the illness when she was just 8 years old, and everything never been ‘normal’ for Luna ever since, thou she was just a normal brown haired girl, that came from a small town in New Jersey, a small town called ‘Cherry Hill’.

She was born and raised by native-American parents, so she grew up listening to those famous folklore that is written in history of her race, she love fantasy and supernatural thing, Luna is the only child in the family, with no siblings to play with her, she’s tend to be introverts and shy towards peoples she met, and because of her background and her love of the supernatural things, she was bullied in school.

Luna never had a friend, and she’s always alone, the only friend she had was her dog named Lupin, that she got from her parents for her 7th birthday present, However, Lupin runaway from home not long after a few months of his arrival, Luna was devastated because Lupin was her only friend, she tried to search for him but he was nowhere to be found, her parents also tried to help her by asked peoples around and police officers but everyone had no clue, it is almost feels like he’s just disappeared.

“Morning!, Here’s your breakfast”.

A nurse in white uniform suddenly rushed in to Luna’s room, putting a tray on the table with bunch of healthy food on top of it, ‘Constance’, a Name tag written on her left chest uniform.

There is many of nurses in the facility, but seems like Constance is the one who assigned for Luna’s daily breakfast, she’s a new nurse, probably still under training probation, the last nurse that used to do Constance job for years has recently resigned even tho Luna used to like her, seems like everyone that she likes always leaving her.

And it’s been a week but Luna still cannot get used to Constance, she’s trying so hard to be friendly that sometimes tend to be annoying instead, so Luna thoughts how could she survive every morning from now on with Constance being the first person she’ll meet every morning.

“How was your day? Is everything okay?, I heard you’ve been here the longest, I mean how could you manage? Poor thing”. Constance said with obviously fake sad face.

“By the way. I’m new here.. so hey, get easy on me okay, oh and did I mention already? that you are too skinny you know, get some weight, didn’t they feed you?”.

“..............”. Luna in silence. First, she didn’t like the fact Constance didn’t knock the door and just rushed in, second, she doesn’t like being interrogated, third, she think it’s rude for mentioning how skinny she is, fourth, Constance just speak too much.

“Are you okay? Hello~~”. Constance snapping her finger in front of Luna’s face, trying to get Luna’s attention.

“..............”. Luna’s not bother and turn her head to the window instead.

“Okay girl, I understand you are going through a lot, sick and alone in this remote hospital for so long but hey, spilling one or two words doesn’t hurts, and I heard about the dead of your parents...”. Constance couldn’t finish her sentence, seeing the unfriendly glare Luna’s giving her, she realize that Luna’s not happy with she mentioning her parents dead topic, maybe not happy aren’t quite right to describe how Luna’s face looks to Constance in that moment, it is more like she’s Angry.

“Stay.. AWAY!” Luna raised her voice saying it loud and clear in front of her face. It’s well deserved for one or two words Constance asked for.

Speechless, Constance hold her mouth shut, then hurried to the door and leaving Luna alone again.

Feeling sad and gloomy after remembering her parents dead thanks to annoying Constance, Luna get up from her bed and walk to the huge window, she’s standing there for a minute.

“Mom.... Dad.... I’m sorry” Luna’s said while looking through the woods.

Tears falling down through her beautiful brown eyes, she’s start to bawling, she’s been holding it since the day of her parents dead, everything happened so quickly that she doesn’t even have time to progress it, but now she’s finally letting it all out from her chest.

Luna’s crying with her hands on her face, she’s cried until suddenly she’s heard a thud sound coming from the window, “who’s that?!!!!”. Shout her.

Surprised and confused by the sound, she goes by checking the window first, she found a little mark there which possibly caused from something hard that been thrown to the window, still with puffy eyes Luna’s looking in to the woods trying to find someone or something that possibly caused the thud, but, not a single creature there except the trees wiggling around by the wind.

The window itself is huge, it’s a 180 degree angle, so she quite sured that if something out there then she must have seen it already, her eyes searching to the woods left and right, nothing is there, instead, it make her realize how looking at the woods making her feelings more alone and empty.

Luna then close the curtain, shutting the world behind her back and hoping tomorrow she can survive one more day, how empty the woods is, it’s still nothing compared to Luna’s emptiness.

It was twilight time, when Luna’s opening presents on her seventh birthday party, she doesn’t have much friends so the guests were mostly her aunties, uncles, and her cousins, Luna got quite a lot of presents that day, she open the presents one by one until it’s time for her parents turn to give her theirs.

“So, your father and I been discussing about something to get for your birthday presents last week…”. Luna’s mother started her speech while grabbing Luna’s hands and taking her to the yard followed by all the guests.

In the yard she continues “and how coincidence, we got a sudden call from your father old friend, he asked us if we want to take this thing home with us…” explain Luna’s mother carefully before got interrupted from Luna

“Wait, u guys made me nervous”. Said little Luna while giving a suspicious look to her parents.

Well luna has a right to be suspicious, because in front of her there’s seemingly huge box with a black fabric around it like the thing they had in the magic show, with the size that perhaps even a kid can fit in, or maybe a tiger.

“What’s in it? What’s in it?” Luna’s got excited.

“Well then go, open it sweetheart!” Said her parents.

Luna start to taking of the fabric slowly revealing a little that seemingly a huge box was actually a cage, but before she could clearly see what’s inside, a loud growl suddenly coming from inside the cage shocking her to waking up on her hospital bed.

“LUPIN!!!!!!” Shout Luna upon waking up, apparently she was dreaming about her first meeting with Lupin, her dog.

Luna’s panting, trying to catch some breath, she thought it was really strange dreams, for what she remembered Lupin was a good dog, why would he growl like that, it doesn’t even sounds like a growl a dog has, it wasn’t Lupin she thought.

“Thank goodness I woke up before I could see what’s in it, that would be a nightmare”. Luna said before sipping a glass of water that she took from the table beside her bed.

The clock on the wall showing 6.25pm, Luna must been slept after she took her morning medicine today, those meds always make her sleepy, usually she could cope with that, but not this time around, she’s surely slept through a whole day today.

Luna didn’t want to going back to sleep again, so she decided to walk out from bed and watch the sunset from the huge window in her room. And she did not regret it, it was so beautiful, the orangey color of the sunset washing out the greenery of the woods slowly, and the little dance of the shadows it created, it’s magnificent, she stood there till the sun has left.

“Psst!” A sound coming from the trees. The dark has filled the woods by now, so Luna couldn’t see anything.

“What?!” Who’s there?? Seriously, don’t joke around and show yourself!!!”. Shout Luna. But nobody is showing up still like the last time. Luna’s got a little aggressive because whatever or whoever is out there had just ruined her mood after enjoying the beautiful sunset, and technically it’s the second time her mood was ruined by it, so she’s quite pissed.

“I know you’re there, you’re the one who throw the thing…a..a stone..? On the window... last time isn’t it?” Even tho she’s pissed, she actually a bit scared as well, she’s trying to be brave by calling it out but got chickened out at the end, she’s looking into the woods surrounding nervously.

“You will get scare if you see me” said a mysterious voice, It sounds like a male voice.

Luna surprised that she could hear the voice loud and clear even though she’s in the 4th floor, so this person must have climbed up one of the tree to talk to her, when she realized this, she got goosebumps. It’s a stalker!!! She thought.

“No!! No…I’m not scared, don’t worry I will not tell people that someone climbed on the trees to stalk- I mean talk.. to me, ha.. haha, so hope you have a good day, and uh… I gotta go”. She tried to not being obviously scared, even though it was really obvious that she’s scared, she then slowly closing the curtain trying to escape.

“Wait!!” Beg the mysterious voice. “Don’t be scared…I just wanted to be friends with you, I promise I won’t hurt you”.

Luna stood there thinking for a minute, first of all the hospital window was thick enough and it’s all locked from the inside, so whoever it could be, Luna think that she is safe as long as she’s inside, so she decided to stay and finding out who’s the stalker is.

“Okay…. I heard you…, I’ll stay…, but could you please come out from your hiding place?, We can’t be friends… if you are hiding all the times, I… I want to see you”. Asked Luna, she made up her mind to see him with her own eyes, for better, or worse, besides, what can be worst than a stalker?, she thought.

Coming out slowly from the trees, a figure, a creature that make Luna’s eyes widened.

“Wha…What are you???”. She gasped.

“I’m a werewolf”.

It still feels like a dream for Luna, that she could laugh and having a fun chat with Mr.Werewolf like it’s a normal thing to do, it’s been a month after their first encounter, Mr.Werewolf always visiting Luna almost everyday at twilight or at night when the moon is shining the brightest, while they do the chatting, every-time he’ll always be on the same spot, because there’s a rule they had set together on their first met, it was about not being too close to the window, there at least 5 meter distance from the trees, but some brunches was really close and even touches the window, to think about it, Mr.Werewolf could easily cross over this branches to get closer to Luna if he wanted to, however he always kept his promised to keeping a distance.

They had talk about many things, funny things, Luna thought that an accompanied from a Werewolf is more enjoyable than a human accompany right now, because after she lost her parents, is getting harder and harder for Luna to talk to peoples.

“So, tell me Mr.Werewolf, how did you become a werewolf?”. Luna ask.

“What do you mean?” Mr.Werewolf said.

“I mean where’d you come from and stuff, you know… we always only talk about jokes, my complaints about Constance, my childhood stories, it’s all about me, but you.. you never really talk about your self”.

“So.., you want to hear my story huh, hmm.. fair enough, Well I think I’ll tell you about it another time”. He grinned.

“But, we both agree thou~ that Constance girl is a pain in the ass”. Said Mr.Werewolf, followed with cracking laugh from Luna.

“You know… you always has the trick to make me laugh, it’s feels like I’ve known you for so long, Mr.Werewolf.”

“first of all, I have a name y’know, and why do you always called me Mr.Werewolf?”. Reply him.

“Oh, sorry, I didn’t know what to call you… so..” Luna said. “You don’t like it when I called you Mr.Werewolf?”. She continues.

“No, that’s not quite right, missy, I just I wanted you to call me by my name”.

“Well then…, tell me, what’s your name Mr.Werewolf”.

“Kane, my name’s Kane” He smile.

“It was nice to meet you Kane” Said her smiling.

“It was nice to meet you.. Luna”. Kane smile back. They both had a moment there looking in to each other’s eyes with a smile on their face.

That moment Luna start to observe how Kane looks in details and thought how handsome Kane is even as a Werewolf.

Kane doesn’t look like a werewolf that you usually saw on horror movies or comic books, even though his mouth is look identically like a wolf mouth with teeth as sharp and scary as a wolf, his eyes and face is more humanlike.

His pale skin perfectly matched his silver hair that runs along his shoulders, his tall and shirtless body is showcasing his normal human body muscles here and there, but even tho he have a sexy body for a werewolf, his lower down to feet is fully look like a wolf.

“What are you thinking?” Kane voice waking Luna from her daydream.

“I just thinking.. did you actually look like this when I first met you?, I mean… I thought that you.. quite handsome, or is it just my imagination?”. Luna’s staring at his yellowish eyes that looking a lot like a beautiful amber stone. It felt like she’s been hypnotized.

“probably…” he grins. “But quite~ handsome? Just quite… huh, I don’t know how to feel about it”. He scoffed.

Luna feels like she get drawn to him even more, Luna slowly walk closer to the window to get a closer look, Kane follows her step crossing into the closest branches to the window, without they realized, they’re only one step away in to each other now, with only thin glass of window dividing them, facing each others faces.

“I want to know you more” Luna’s said with a deep stare at Kane.

“Are you sure…?”. He replied.

That moment Luna notice the window isn’t lock, she got scared and started to doubt, and think there’s possibility that Kane just want to eat her.

“Sorry, uhm, I don’t know what I’m thinking”. Said Luna after battling in her mind.

“No, don’t”. Reply him after seeing Luna about to lock the window. “Don’t you trust me?”. He put his hand on the window, he’s hand is also a normal human hands but he has a wolf claw that looks like he can tear of human body in half so easily, his Amber eyes looking at Luna like he’s marking on a prey. Luna got even more scared.

“Please don’t hurt me…” Luna scared as hell, it was a little too late for Luna to lock the window because in no time one of Kane hand already inside holding the window to stay open.

“Hey!!”. Said Kane while jumping through the open window to Luna’s room. now there’s no more window between them, they’re facing each others.

“……….” Luna’s loss for words, just standing there and shaking.

“Hey….Don’t be scared…., I won’t hurt you”. He assure Luna with a soft voice after seeing her about to cry.

“Now, will you come with me?”. He continues.

“To where…..?” She replied after gain some courage. “I supposed to stay here all the times because of my illness, I can’t go out”. Explained her

“I need to show you something”. He insisted.

“But Kane—-oOh!!! Kane pick her up into his arms before she could finish her sentence. It look like one of those Disney movies where the Prince hold his Princess manly.

Then Kane jump of to the woods with Luna in his arms, everything happen so quickly, suddenly he were running through the trees really fast that Luna feels like they’re actually flying.
