"So Jackson what are you doing after school today?" Connor asked Jackson throwing their arms around each other's shoulders.
Jackson would normally chill around at a park or someplace where he could breathe some fresh air outside, his father had abanded him and his mother had passed away ten years ago from murder, but since he hears the song his mother sang to him over an over before it was like she would sing all the time to him.
"I think today I'm going to that astronaut chemistry opening ceremony today," Jackson pulled out his phone to look at the time but he was sadly disappointed.
"Oh yeah, did you hear about the transfer girl? I heard she is an odd but hot girl. Maybe we could go check her out till school is over?" Connor lightly smacked Jackson's shoulder than held Connors hand.
Boys at the high school usually do pay attention to the school's newspapers there was very few who don't read because all there ever really is just gossip.
"I don't pay attention to that crap... girl or not who cares really?" he shrugged his shoulder and removed Connors arm than walked down the opposite hall.
Jackson had his head down looking at his phone not only did he not watch where he was walking but he bumped into a girl she hit her head on the glass window frame while he just fell.
"I'm going to kill you!" She screamed pressing the palms of her hands over her eyes.
He gulped hard and tried making a run for it. With her eyes closed, she grabbed his ankle with a super-tight grip and dragged him back to the spot where they bumped into each other. This caught lots of the student's eyes.
Connor ran as fast as his legs could move by the time he had reached them he was out of breath. The girl had removed her hands from her eyes that looked like she was bleeding on one eye. She turned around and was trying to look for something, Connor had seen something black under his shoe he bends down and picked the object up to him it looked like an eye patch.
"Connor give me that!" she screamed in rage.
Jackson was lost in the moment he forgot what she said would happen, he was so curious about how this harshful girl knew Connor.
With no hesitation, Connor immediately handed over the eye patch.
"Thank you, Connor, I will now finish what I was going to do." She slipped on her eye patch over her head and under her hair.
Jackson gulped again than decided to try fainting he fell back on the hard floor and ground from the pain.
"I am Magnetar daughter of the stars you will not treat me like dirt that can be thrown across the air."
Jackson had always believed the story about the daughter of all starts.
First, he just wanted to explain that it was all just a misunderstanding.
"Please understand this is all a misunderstanding I never meant to hurt or harm you!" he yelled.
The girl gave him a small nod and picked up all her belonging but missed her journal that was mixed in Jackson's books and supplies.
"You for-," before he could finish she was already gone.
"So odd and evil," Connor yelled.
Jackson rubbed the back of his head then proceeded to pick up the rest of his books.
"I'm so stupid," he whispers.
Jackson felt stupid and scared for what happened, he had so many thoughts and was hoping to find the best way to tell her that he was sorry. Nobody wants to have someone who has a grudge on them.
"How did she know you anyway?" Jackson asked Connor.
"Oh, she is the new girl that the principal had asked me to show and help around. Her classes are the same as mine, right now is lunch but in about eleven minutes is art class. Hey! We all three have the same classes yay us!" After he heard what Connor said he banged his head on the desk over and over.
A girl walked in the classroom she handed Jackson a note and ran she tripped over a desk but got back up and ran Jackson and just lifted his eyebrow.
"Oh well, what is this?" Connor said in a sarcastic voice quick to grab the paper to read it.
Dear Jackson,
I don't dare to tell you this in person because I am scared you'll reject me with no thinking or hesitation. I've had a crush on you since first grade I know that you may not care at all about me but I would like to have a chance with you. I am earth while you are the universe holding me and shining above me. One little star like you has caught my attention. The school will end in two months and before that, I would like to know your answer before the end of this school year. I would like to meet with you after school so we can talk or hang out for a bit if you're busy I understand you might not like me but I will forever like you I don't care what you think about me but just know that I jenny with forever only love Jackson!
Love your only-
Jenny
Connor read out loud and nobody noticed that the new girl was sitting right next to Jackson, Connor was the first to notice he screamed like a little girl and fell off his desk he sat on.
"What are you doing here now Magnetar? And why did your parents ever give you such a weird name I can't even say it!" Connor screamed in a little girls voice.
Jackson looked at magnetar she was quiet and he couldn't even tell that she was breathing because she was so still. The only motion she made with her eye was blinking her eyes and nothing more no arms or legs.
"Class will start soon give me reasons why I'm not welcomed here. I have no parents if you don't like the name I am going away than Connor o hare!" Magnetar said in a calm voice.
"Students I am sorry today is going to be a very bad thunderstorm go home and enjoy your weekend. I guess what I'm saying is Schools out for the rest of the day! No clubs or anything today!" the principal made an announcement that sounded like a final exams test coming up.
Jackson was relieved to hear that it was one PM and he didn't want to miss the astronomy ceremony that would start around in an hour.
Everyone was quick to run out the doors but Magnetar was the last one in the halls still walking.
"Magnetar what are you still doing here sweety?" her teacher asked in a sweet voice.
She didn't reply instead she looks down and took off her eyepatch she showed the crying eye filled with blood. The teacher gasped and Jackson was looking out the window from a classroom to see what was going on after he heard a loud gasped that could wake up a village of sleepers.
"I'm off to work now." Magnetar walked out of the doors.
Jackson had arrived at the astronomy ceremony just on time but the inside was filled with mostly kids and few adults.
"A place like this should be crowded with people just wanting to see all this beauty," Jackson whispers to himself while putting his phone away.
"Hello everyone today I am glad you have come here to be with us today. I hope you all have fun and enjoy everything!" a woman standing on the stage to the right spoke in a joyful voice as the audience clapped after she finished her small speech.
Kids looked happy because there were space toys and other stuff. Adults got to learn stuff about stars from a woman. Anyone could buy rings, books, house stuff filled with stars and everything.
"Everyone today would have never happened without the one star we have here today I tell you the universe has given us the one star that shines bright in are earth today!"
Jackson didn't know what she was talking about specifically because no star could ever live and shine on earth they are all in the universe light-years away.
"Magnetar I thank you for being here today as the star on this earth come up here!" that woman on the stage had a tearful look on her face as she motioned her hands waving them to tell whoever to come to the stage.
On came the stage was his ARCH NEMESES!
Magnetar was waving her hand and smiling. Her eyepatch was replaced with a bandanna. There was something about magnetar that he just couldn't explain or understand, why do she and everyone around her call her the star or the daughter of the stars? To him, she looked just like almost anyone else unless she was in fantasy so with everyone around her.
"Everyone after I talk to someone, anyone can know there future for just 0.25 cents!" Magnetar went jumping off the stage she ran towards Jackson grabbed his hand and ran into a room in the back.
Jackson ran to a corner he was scared about what she was going to do. He was thinking more like she was going to continue and finish him off.
"There's no need to be scared I just wanted to apologize I have a gift prepared for you." She didn't face him.
"What gift?" he asked.
"A kiss." She smiled to herself and turned around to see his surprised face.
Jackson was surprised because he had never even thought that a girl or whatever she was would ever give him such a gift as a present to say sorry. Before he could say anything she pushed him into the corner her right arm relaxed on the wall as her left was holding his hand.
Jackson couldn't process what was happening at all he tried pushing her away but his arms wouldn't budge from there trapped positions.
"I'm sorry," she whispers in a soft voice resting her cheek on his right cheek.
"I don't know what got into me, I had no right to kiss you at all," She walked away in a rush.
He didn't know what his body was doing but he was following her.
He remembers that she spoke about telling futures he wanted to prove she had no such power to tell anyone's future.
"Here is a quarter tell me what have I been looking for?" He pulled out a quarter from his back pocket and sat down, she gladly took that and closed her eyes.
"You have been looking for your mother's pendant that she gave to you on your ninth birthday. It is behind your bookshelf." She smirked and he gave a low growl.
"Twinkle Twinkle little star how I wonder what you are up above the world so high Twinkle Twinkle little star how I wonder what you are up above the world so high Like a diamond in the sky twinkle twinkle little star." Magnetar sang to herself as she was taking off her bandanna from her eye.
"Why do you sing that lullaby-like that and not the right way?" Jackson asked.
"Because this is my lullaby that I sing." he walked away.
