After witnessing the brutal death of her father at the hands of her uncle Roderick, Elady Anthony flees to find her brother Malcolm. Malcolm ran away after their mother died but he is the only family Elady has left and she needs him to claim their family's wealthy inheritance. Alone and at sea Elady longs for the comfort and safety that her brother's inheritance can offer but instead she is faced with pirates, swordfights, being shipwrecked and an unpleasant sailor named Wes who follows her around. Wes seems to go out of his way to insult her and is a far cry from his kinder and handsomer friend Hans. But Roderick is hot on her heels desperate to find her brother before she does and kill him to take the inheritance himself. The high seas test Elady's strength and Roderick is quick to find any weakness in the comfort loving, safety seeking young woman. She must use all of her resolve to protect her brother and herself before it is too late for bother of them.
