After World War I ended, the German government was humiliated by the Treaty of Versailles. The demilitarized zone of the Rhineland, the economic crisis, the loss of territories, and the overthrow of the king made German citizens very upset and angry.
On the other hand, the Italians, who were once in the Entente, were wrecked by the Treaty of London. And the economic crisis made the Italians furious about the gains of the Allies compared to them. This made the Italians very upset with the Allies and wanting revenge.
The German people in the western part were planning to do something, something that would change the whole world.
Let's move to Italy, the place where citizens would kill for just a piece of bread. The Italians were getting fed up until they'd had enough. They started by canceling the convoy supply line to France and Britain. When the Allies (France and Britain) asked for it, they denied it and excused themselves by citing a third clause of the second subject, stating that the country could deny an offer within 10 years of the treaty. This made the Allies (France and Britain) not only have to secure the Maginot Line, but also France's southern border.
A German underground group is making a move. The group starts taking over an old government with a new democratic under monarchy (if you can't imagine, think about the current Thai government). They annexed their western half of the country that was occupied by France. This forces France to militarize its Maginot Line. But that creates Italian opportunities.
