Chapter 2 'Old Is Gold'

KRISTIEN' POV:

It wasn't the first time spending time with grandma. It was first time when I came to her house. As expected her house was a traditional Japanese house. Those sliding doors and almost everything of woods. I was very excited since it was my first time seeing one. Those fields and having trees and plants surrounding the houses was beautiful in their way. Grandma has been visiting me since my childhood. I loved her company because my parents were so busy in thier work that they didn't had much time for me.

My mom is a great actress and singer. And my dad is a great bussiness man. Our company is top in the whole country. So I was genuinely expected to be great in everything. Which was a lot but I managed to do so. I am now an actress and idol. And soon going to manage family bussiness. Everything is great till now.

Back at present, Yea at night my Aunt got lectured. She deserved it though. I really was trying hard the whole time to control my laughter. But then she apologized to me. Our relationship is like sisters more than Aunt and niece. So everything was fine. After this the next day Grandma took me out for showing the whole village. She introduced me to her few friends. We went to temples, saw the fields and ate a lot of food and back to home.

The next day, grandma and I again went to temple for prayers. There we met her best friend who just came in village too. I looked infront of me....

I saw an old lady. She had a warm smile on her face. I greeted her bowing down. Grandma introduced me to her. She told me to call her grandma Manami. For some reason I think I saw her somewhere. She told us that she came here with her grandson, to show him the village. It didn't took them time to start there long conversations. We sat in one of those rock benches.

Grandma Manami was a very kind and cheerful lady, like my grandma. My grandma was sure having a great time I was happy too. Grandma Manami asked me I remembered her. I couldn't recognise her. Even though I knew I had seen or met her somewhere but I can't remember now. She told me it was ok since I was 13 when I saw her. It made me wonder.

They talked and I listened to them. But for me it started getting boring. I guess grandma noticed it. I was.trying my best to hide it but grandma knows me from my childhood it was very obivious for her to see. They told me to spend sometime with Grandma Manami's grandson. Well I was bored so I thought of checking out. I thought their grandson was a kid. And it was a long time since I played with a kid. I liked kids pretty much. It wouldn't take time for me to make a kid laugh. So I thought of going. She told her grandson was inside the temple. But I guess I had a wrong idea of her grandson being a kid.... Things didn't turned out the way I thought.....
