So before I can answer him anything my phone rang as I pulled out out of my pocket I saw its was from my mum , as I saw I picked it up was asking about how Its going and did I ate anything yet and all other thing that anyone’s mom worries soon enough I cut it and then replied to the person sitting in front of me yeah as per your question I do like sunsets in past few weeks specially the love for them grow stronger and stronger….

I don’t know why but he was amazed by my answer I can see but I embarrassed and weird to ask why and what with that look but somehow I asked uncle why are seeing that I mean why you are seeing with amazed look ???

First He was silent but then replied cause today’s generation live intact era where they don’t take interest In real world rather they spend time in their phone rather than watching sunset…. That’s why

I was amazed cause if It was same old me few months earlier I would have spend my time watching Netflix and all but now to be honest my phone seems useful most of the time ….

But now like nature and see things different….

I don’t know why but I kinda liked this claim and but being a stranger I was nerves ….

But coming out of my comfortable zone I finally asked him “so uncle whats you name?”

As per he said his name was NATHAN ROY he was 75 with two son and two grand child and as I asked him about his great grand child his eyes begin to sparkle and I can see feel the smile and happiness that come form this question……

He told me many thing about him and his family and all like where they live ,how they retired, how they come to Delhi, and many more……..

Two things bothered me while they told me about his family and all…

First when I asked him to about his family he told me happily and the way he talked I feel like he wanted to talk to someone for long time

Finally today he got that chance….

And second if he have two sons when why he is travelling alone?

I don’t know how but he sensed it and asked tell me what you are thinking….

I think for a minute then asked why you are travelling alone if you have two great son 😅

He smiled firmly before he could answer a tea seller pass by he stopped him and asked for two cups and he handed me one and one in his own hand…..

I denied to take the tea but he said its ok take it please and I don't like the way he was looking at me so I took it….

After that we both took a sip of out tea and with the smell of fresh tea and the taste was also good…..then he finally answer

Few years back my wife suddenly demised and then I almost lost interest in this whole world but I managed me some how cause my whole family’s mood depend on me but…. Mine use to depend on her but she left be alone for the first time in last 55 years and this time she left for never coming back…

So after her death I use to look outside of window all the time and nothings else make me interest tried to hide but my sons know me very well so they planned a out station trip I was not ready but when my grandchild asked I cant say no so we went to “darjeeling” our home town and where I was also going…..

But soon enough things happened same again so in some months I take a trips to darjeeling but one year my both sons were busy so they told me to wait for a week then we can go but I didn’t know what happened I told them I will be going alone this time they were not ready first they were worried but I used my vita power and came to the journey and that journey was super good cause I went to places where I use to go with my wife and sit for hours and some time whole night ….

I get loads of time to think about my memories ……

So after that trip I told my sons that now on every six months I will on solo trip to darjeeling side they saw me happy in years they agreed….

that’s why I travel alone hope that give your answers…

I firmly smiled and just nodded…

That might we talked whole night about many things bout life and he told me lots of learning and many more stories…

We didn’t notice its morning till sun rays fall on train windows and we both looked outside

THE OUTSIDE VIEW:-

And like that we both were standing on darjeeling station and before we went on to our path of life mr roy hugged me and told me something and said to never forget ……

“MEMORIES ARE IMPORTANT MAYBE THEY HURT SOMETIME BUT THEY WILL BE WITH YOU TILL YOU DEATHBED SO MAKE AS MANY MEMORIES AS POSSIBLE”

May our life path cross each and we meet soon and with a bright smile he left….

I watched him going and fading away for moments and then told my self well I am alone at darjeeling station once again with some good memories…..
