Chapter 5:Arrival

"Welcome back!Here a gift for all of you!"The three were standing in front of Avila who was carrying two big boxes and one small box.They were surprised that Avila arrived in there doorsteps but not in front of the gate,which she always do everytime they go home without her.

"Wha-..."exclaimed Marianne.

Avila's brother and father"..."

"W-what are those...A-avila?"Marianne looked at Avila's eyes with a hint of suspiciousness.

"It's your gifts!...and you might open yours now before it gets cold."Avila explained as she gives the gift to Marianne as well as the gifts to his brother and father.

"T-thank you..."Marianne picks it up.She hesitated whether to open it right now because what if something will happen...

"Your welcome."Avila smiled as she raised her eyebrows making Marianne a little nervous as to what is inside the gift.Is it really a gift or...something else?

"Open it."Avila commanded still smiling but with a tone of determination.

"O-ok..."

"Wait."said a young boy who was supposed to be Avila's brother.

"What are you doing right now,Avila?Don't cause any trouble..."

"I'm not."Avila protested as she crossed her arms,making a pouty face.

It seems that the boy is really suspicious about Avila,huh?

Avila smirked."Are you really that suspicious of me,Sir Garett?"

The boy(Garett) flinched.He looked at Avila,a little nervous or rather disappointed?

Doesn't she always love calling him brother?...What is this?...she's giving an odd vibe...

Wait.Why does he even care about not calling him brother anymore?

"Nah!It doesn't matter...Marianne?"

"Yes!"She answered immediately.

"If you don't mind...can I open the gift for you?"

"Aaah...Sure!"As Marianne said,Avila signalled to Marianne to give the gift to her back as Marianne did what she was asked to.

Garett."..."

Avila's father."..."

Avila opened the gift by untying the knot as she picked what was inside and suddenly stuffed it in her mouth.

All the people,around her,including the maids and the butler were surprised and curious as to why the miss has such a vulgar behavior.They wondered if something had happened to her that made her like this.Or was it...did she change?No that's also impossible...A person can't change that quickly.Then what is it?

Avila's father."..."

Avila.'Yummmm...This is so tasty...as expected of my specialty of making foods!'

"Ummm...miss?What exactly are these?"

"Hehehhe...It's called pizza!I'll tell you later the details.Just eat it and I am sure you won't regret it."Avila sniggered and Sabrina started to make doubts about her.

Sabrina hesitated to put the food in her mouth.Her hands were trembling and she doubted that her miss must be making poison.

But her doubts didn't get halfway through because she was interrupted by Avila who suddenly shove the food in the maid's mouth but with an action of gentleness or rather being careful if Avila might choke her to death.

Sabrina was stunned and frightened at the same time because of her young miss' weird behaviour but when her tongue touched the food's texture she actually chewed on it.

It was delicious and Avila can see that.

"Mmm...Mifff?How did wou wake gis(Miss?How did you make this)?"She said with a food full im her mouth.

"I told you I learned it from a book."

"Sorry...but for a second... I thought you were gonna poison me..."

Avila"..."

'Poison?!What am I?Some kind of witch?!..Although she does got a point...what I am making now is not really from this time of period,especially not from this world.'

"It's okay!You can eat what is left and maybe if you will...please give the others some of it,too!"

"Is that okay?"

"Of course!I only need two slices of these and it's all set!"Avila packed two slices of pizza then she put it on a small yellowish box.The height was small and it was a perfect size for two slices of pizza to fit in.Then,when she was done, she picked up a red rope or ribbon from her pocket then tied the box with it.

"Ummm...What are you gonna... who are you giving it to?"

"I am going to give this to the heroine!"

"H-heroine?"

Avila."!!"

"Oops!...my sly tongue...I am going to give this to Mary!"

"Oh!Okay!But what about the other one you made?"

Avila."?!"

'Hehehe...If I didn't know that the original Avila was gonna put poison in the heroine's gift,I would have already died,earlier.'

Avila remembered that in the novel,the first move that the original Avila made to the heroine was this kind of situation.Supposedly,today she will give an incense as a gift to the heroine that not only will this make a person weaken her/his health but also make a person's face disfigured by rashes.

Avila doesn't know why and how the hell the original Avila got the incense from but this really made her feel bad.She is disappointed that the original Avila did this.But it's also those fools' fault that they made her like this!

But the most suspicious thing is...where on earth does she get this kind of incense?This all make her suspicious.

And not for long,Avila ignored this kind of hunch and just proceeded to her next plan.

The next plan was for their arrival.If the gift she makes is suspicious,that even makes a person doubtful then she will prove it to them.

The reason why Avila place two slices of pizza for the heroine's gift was that...if one of them doubt that maybe "the food is poisonous"...she'll gladly eat that poison.

The two slices were identical and both of them has the same scent.It's impossible to doubt that now this food is poisonous because Avila already ate one.

"So...what are you waiting for?It's not that it's poison."Avila bluntly said that made the three(Marianne,her brother and father) of them flinched.

Without hesitation,Marianne stuffed the food on her mouth but with an elegant way.At first,her reaction was obviously nervousness but then when the food was chewed with a sound 'nom,nom',her reaction quickly changed.

Her complexion was now relaxed or rather satisfied?

Looks like she likes it...Avila genuinely smiled.She was touched because she can't believe that her food she made oersonally was very delicious.It was full of flattery to her heart.

"How was it?"Avila asked even though she already knew what she was gonna say but she can't helped but just accept all the compliments she'll get.

"D-...Ambrosial!!"Marianne gently smiled at Avila that made Avila blushed at her compliment.

Marianne' s face was like 'is there more?',whereas Avila's face was like 'Praise me more!'.

As the two in front of them were utterly ignored and felt left out.They were dumbfounded about the situation while the two girl's just smiled,complimenting and talking happily.

They can't help but stare at them like creeps and almost has the words "Are we a joke to you?" on their faces.

But not long after,the weird flowing of atmosphere was cut off by a butler clapping his hands,making them notice him.Then he said."Ahem.Dinner is ready!"

When they all heard the butler,they all went inside.Marianne,Garett and their father went to the kitchen while Avila went to the otherside.

Avila slowly went upstairs but was stopped by a hand holding her wrist.She looked at the person and it was none other than the Duke,Clarent,Avila's father.

His face was really handsome despite of getting old.His appearance was seemingly alike to Avila except for the eyes.Avila's eyes were purple and without guessing she already knew that her eyes came from her mom as for her hair it was obviously from her dad.Because now she saw her father's hair was brightly white.

"Where are you going?"He coldly asked.

Avila."..."

"Aren't you gonna eat?"

Avila smirked at the person,then she gently pushed the hand away from her wrist as she turned around to find some comfortable position to look at her so called-father.

"Thank you for asking but I am already full."She reassured him but he still doubt.

Clarent."..."

"Don't worry,Duke Rosea,I will never make any troubles and rest assured I will try(really) get out of your sight from here on."

What?What does she mean by that?And what did she called him?

"What do you mean by that?"

Once again,Avila smirk but now with a devilish smile.She continued."I'll eat in my room,whether it's breakfast,lunch and noon.And if it is okay with you I can go back to where I belong.And of course that is in our old palace.Is that okay?"

Clarent."?!"

"What?what..."He was cut off when someone suddenly yelled from the kitchen.

"Father!We are waiting for you to eat with us!..."Marianne shouted from the kitchen.

"You should go now,sir.Let's talk about this later."Avila smirked again but now with a gentle smile.As she said that,she slowly walked away,going towards the staircase leaving her shocked father on the stairs.

Clarent."..."

~In the kitchen

"Father!..."Marianne exclaimed then suddenly her expression dropped.She looked around but the person she was looking for was not visible.

"Where is Avila?"She curiously asked.

"She said,she already ate."Her father replied as he sits in the chair in front of his children.

"What does she mean she already ate?...It's still early if she already ate."Garett stated.

Clarent."..."

~Meanwhile on Avila's Side

"uwaaaahhh..."Avila whined.

"I should have prepared food before I lied.I am really hungry."She said with a growling stomach.

"Well,it's a good thing that the opening of the plan was successful while the closure ended like this..."
