Nightmares of the past

"mother!" I screamed but she didn't look back, "please!" I sobbed slowing down unable to reach her, she was so close I could almost touch her yet she was so far as if she was never there to begin with. I slapped myself, I can't give up, not yet! my legs started moving again, getting faster with each step "mother! please come back! you can't leave me... please don't abandon me" I started crying and sobbing uncontrollably, I watched as she was flown among others far far away. I tripped. "whoa!" I fell down the ravine and into the river. I tried to stay afloat but the water kept pushing me down further and deeper into the depths. after pointless minutes of fighting the water I gave in and let the water send me into its depths. I started to lose consciousness as I drifted deeper, everything started to go blurry, I was losing consciousness faster than I wanted.

I felt like I was floating, I could hear my mother's lullaby playing in my head;

we are the voices of the ones that past

we are the souls of kings and queens that died in battle

we are the speakers of the living and dead

sleep in peace and rest your soul

wake to find the sun smiling above

or

to find death awaiting you're arrival

we are the living and we will live til our time comes

we are the dead we will rebirth and die over and over

pick up your weapon

whatever it may be

and be true to yourself

protect the people

yourself

and your loved ones

fly the nest

and spread your wings

be free

be what they cannot

be

you.................

i never saw her again. I could feel myself moving, being pushed deeper and further down the river, I thought that- that peace would last forever but I was wrong and now I'm the last of my kind. I can feel myself drifting closer to death.

aarrhhgg!!! I hit something and water turned red, then I hit another object and another and another. there was red everywhere.

the darkness is slowing consuming me, I could no longer feel or see or hear or taste anything, only my mind hadn't been swallowed yet.

the water suddenly gave way to a waterfall and I the next I was falling, just falling. it felt forever when I finally hit the water, it should've hurt but I didn't feel anything, my body is numb.

Im not sure what's happening anymore, I can't feel, I can't see, I can't hear, I can't anything.

my mind is wandering now severely close to being swallowed by the darkness.

I can't do anything, I guess this is the end of the line for me. I guess I will crossing the rainbow bridge soon. no! I must hold on! I must hold on! I must hold on! I must hold! I must! I must! I- I- ....... I succumbed to the darkness finally embracing it. I fell into blackness. the world disappearing...

I fell into a deep sleep.............
