"Oh, about mamá. She said she'll be visiting dad so maybe she won't be back until tomorrow" Khaelles said while eating and I nodded in response "Why aren't you talking to me?" he asked

"I'm sorry mom, I never intended to do this especially when I knew what the outcome would be" I started

"I'm not blaming you Khaelus, instead, I feel sorry for you. You know that in this game of love you'll be the one losing, he's your brother Khaelus. Even if it's not by blood. I would actually be glad if you were to like someone else since I don't have a daughter but I'm begging you Khaelus, not your brother" she explained

"I'm sorry mom, I tried to stop it too but I can't" I muttered and she nodded

"I understand. Being gay is not a problem honey, I've been there. If you still want to continue walking on this path then let me advise you to just do what you want and not care for others opinions. They don't matter, ok" she said but one thing that attracted me more is the 'I've been there' part

"What do you mean by you've been there mom?" I curiously asked and she sweetly smiled at me

"I'm actually a lesbian in the past but it changed when I met your father. I dated lots and lots of women back then that I couldn't even count it on my fingers anymore but just one look at your dad and I became straight" she beamed like it's something to be proud of "Just like you, I was also confused about the sudden change of my sexuality but soon after that I just accepted it and went with the flow. Here I am, married to the first man I loved" she added which made me frown more

"If you don't believe me then go and ask your dad" she said and threw a little tantrum

"Well, that's life changing" I said that made her laugh

She scooted beside me and held my hands before speaking again.

"I know that not many people will accept people like us but please be strong" she said and with a genuine smile that turned into a serious face "Just please, not Khaelles. I promised his mother that I would take care of him" she added

"I know, mom. Actually, I'm planning on going somewhere to clear my head" I said and lowered my head

If I can't have him then just forget about it. I just need a little winding and it will turn to normal again.

"Where exactly?" she asked and I shrugged "If you want, I can send you to states so you could help your dad with the company" she suggested that I didn't put much thought about and just nodded

"You don't have to force yourself to be straight again honey. I'll love you just the same" she said and caressed my head

"Thank you mom" I said

"Oh and by the way, I told you father about this so be ready to receive an earful from him. He didn't like the idea of you kissing your brother" she said and so I nodded

"The worst case scenario would probably be the grounding. He's too soft for us that he can't even shout" I joked and we laughed

"Did I miss something?" Khaelles blurted while munching his sandwich that I think he prepared when mom asked him to leave

"I brought midnight snack by the way" he said and smiled innocently

"Thank you my dear, come and join us here" mom said and tapped the available space beside her

"No thanks mom, I'm kinda sleepy" he cutely refused while waving his hands

"Go on then, have a good night. You're free to wake up anytime you want" mom sneered and kissed him goodnight

When he's finally far from the living room, that's when I asked mom something about my departure.

"When will I leave mom?" I asked

"You'll take a night flight tomorrow. No need to pack a lot of things, your father already bought clothes and other stuffs for you and Khaelles back then. Just bring what you want" she said and I nodded

This is probably the best way to cope.
