2 : Coincidence or Fate ?

"Would you like to try your luck ,little lad?" said the lady to Aria

"This book that you have made is a lottery ticket for you, do you know that?" said the lady

Aria stood there confused and dumbfolded ,she thought that even the lady was trying to humiliate her for her wierd drawings .

"I know these are not very satisfying , it's just a hobby of mine to draw designs and ..." said Aria

"You must be terribly mistaking my words , what I'm trying to say is ,your art is worth awarding " interrupted the lady

*Aria stared at her

'She doesn't look like a bad woman ,but why is she being so attentive of me?'

She seemed like a young ,mature lady in her late twenties .

She was attired in brands from top-to-toe , Cherry red GUCCI jumpsuit with black CARLTON-LONDON pumps , holding a black umbrella with red roses printed on it . She was an epitome of a high class lady .

"I'm a fashion designer , My name is Sherlyn Shane . You can call me Sherry " said the lady .

*Aria stood there surprised

Earlier because of the rain showers and umbrella ,she couldn't she her face clearly ,but now ,

The muse she always dreamt like to be was right in front of her ,tears of happiness started flowing from her eyes

"Do I look so scary ,that I made you cry?" scoffed sherry

"No ,it's not that ,I'm just so happy to meet you that I couldn't contain my tears . I've always been a fan of your designs " said Aria

*Sherry smiled at Aria

"I don't know what unfortunate thing made you cry today ,but I have a offer for you if you please" said sherry

"Yes? " asked sherry

" The company I'm currently collaborating with here in Boston is providing scholarship for young art talents ,if you can win the competition ,then you will have a free scholarship for studying abroad and even your expenses will be handled by the company . And also after your graduation we can work together " said sherry

Listening to the last sentence ,that She will get to work with Sherry made Aria jump with pleasure

"Can I really get to work with you ?" asked Aria

"Yes ,my dear ,but only if u surpass the test for scholarship ,only two personels will be provided this scholarship " said Sherry

*Aria said in a determined voice

"I'll work hard ,no matter what "

"Yea , that should be the confidence ,I'll be rooting for you "

"Then now I need to leave , chatting with you I forget the sense of time " said sherry

Sherry turned to the last page of the diary and wrote down her contact number and office address

"The Competition is on the 17th if this month ,that is the day after tomorrow .Prepare yourself well ,it's not a very tough test ,it's only based on your skills and understanding of designing . So you don't have to worry much " explained Sherry .

"Yes ,I will try my best to prove my skills " said Sherry in a determined tone

" I truly love your attitude ,Come meet me tomorrow at my office ,for which I gave you the address right now , be there by 5 pm ,Ok ?"

said sherry

*Aria nodded

"Then see you tomorrow " said sherry while entering her car parked by the street

As Aria was seeing off Sherry , thought started running wild in her brain

'Is it a mere coincidence , or was it my fate to meet sherry today , to think if I had not broken up with Eliot , would have I agreed to study abroad , *clapped her face with both hands ,

enough with wierd thoughts ,most importantly I need to work hard '

*Aria grabbed all her belongings and started making her way home

The dark clouds that hid the sun had vanished to nowhere , the sun was shining bright in the sky with a rainbow that enhanced it's beauty .

Everything felt magical , as if it was all in a fairly tale ,where a fairy godmother comes to the rescue of Cinderella .

*Soon Aria reached her home ,

Her mother was preparing meals in the kitchen and father was off to work

Though Aria did not belong to a well-off family , but both her parents loved her and strived together to provide all they could for their daughter .

Thinking that sometimes her parents would give up on their own desires so that Aria could fulfill her own , this made Aria feel proud of her mother and father , She felt very loved.

' It doesn't matter if two selfish people from my life disappear , I still have my parents,who always love me ' Aria thought to herself .

*Aria hugged her Mom from behind

"You naughty girl ,where are you coming from ?" said Mom

"I love you sooo much Mom " said Aria trying to be cute

*Mom patted her head

"Did something happen today ,wanna share ?"

said Mom

*Aria told her Mom about her meeting with Sherry and about the Competition

"Listen Ari , Opportunities are like deserts ,you must enjoy it while there is still time ,Well you can still have another deserts if the first is gone but ,not necessary that the latter one will provide you same pleasure , It sure is a once is lifetime opportunity but what matters is your own decisions , Me and your Dad will always support you , So always keep your footings forward " said Mom encouraging Aria

Hearing to her mother's words Aria couldn't contain her excitement and jumped to hug her mom . After the darkest night ,there is always a bright morning , that's what it felt in that moment .

*Later aria walked in her room

As she stepped inside her room , looking at the things she got as gifts from Eliot and Cindy made her blood boil

She quickly ran out and brought in a big cardboard box and tugged all the thing , cards ,clothes , stationery and also the friendship bands in it . The box was almost so full that it won't even close .

After that Aria picked the box and threw it near the telephone poll outside her home ,where everyday a truck comes to collect trash .

"Trash should be trashed !! ,keeping it with you can make you sick , hmm " Aria scoffed

Then she walked in her room , it felt so spacy and free that it felt her room was renovated . She walked towards her vanity .

*Looking at her in the mirror ,

Aria smirked " It's a new start baby !! , Let nothing stop you !"
