Chapter 3-Engagement?

Avile sees that Melia is staring at her. She knows that Melia is lost in her thoughts, thinking about something. Avile was bored so she try to tease Melia.

"Wow, wow...My little Melia is grown up and thinking about her love now. Then, should I start to prepare some gifts now?" Avile said that to tease her.

Melia seems froze by her sudden saying and have no idea what she is saying.

Avile knows that and winked at her. Now, Melia knows that her bff is teasing her cuz she was lost in her thoughts.

"Avile! Why are you teasing me again?? I'not love, ok?"She talks back to Avile with a pout face. Avile laughs back at her answer and tease her again and again.

Soon, they noticed the time and Avile says "Let's go! We'll be late!"

Avile grabs Melia's hand and get out of the cafe'.

They walk for a few mins and get to the point where Avile's cousin will meet. Avile looks around the resturant to find her cousin. Soon, she saw him and walks towards the table with Melia. She says Hi to her cousin.

She notice that her cousin isn't alone. He brings his girlfriend with him.

Her cousin says hi to her back. She nods and sits at the free seats with Melia.

Joe says"It's been a long time since we last meet each other, aren't it Avile?"

Avile smiles and said"Yes, it's been a long time, Joe". "Ok. Put things aside, I come here to tell you a good new."said Joe. Avile says"What it is?"

Joe takes his girlfriend's hand and says "We are going to engage!" with a happy face. Avile and Melia were shocked at that moment. They'd never thought he'll come here to talk about this. Avile is trying to clam down herself. Melia noticed that Avile isn't in the mood to talk, so she stands in her way and says "My friend has a busy schedule. So, she may not be available."

Joe don't agree with Melia said and ask Avile to make her angry.

Cuz Joe knows Avile hates to go to parties which her parents will attend.

"Pls Avile, you'll attend, right?" Joe says. Avile clam down and says yes. Cuz she wnats to show Joe that she is no longer the person who is still stuck in the past.

Joe and Melia was surprised by her answer. Melia looks at Avile and try to ask her why... But Avile smiles back and shake her head. Joe was shocked but he stays clam and says thanks to her.

*In Joe's mind*

She really change. It's just like she's not the person she once was. The one who would cry and beg them to stay with her. Not to leave her alone. She stays clam and can talk very smoothly. Not like usual. My little cousin has grown up a lot.

Joe was lost in his thoughts. Avile noticed that and says "Excuse us, Joe. I still have works to do. I'll see you on the engagement day". Joe waved at her.

Avile and Melia gets out of the resturant. As soon as they come out, Melia hugs at Avile and says "I'm proud of you, Avile! You can prove him that youa re not that kind of person you were in the past!"

Avile hugs her bavk and says "Of course. As the time pass, people can change sometimes too."
