The next day I went to the university and I headed to painting class. My personal favorite. We always paint on canvas with oil or acrylic colors. I entered the classroom and I sat in front of my canvas. Next to me, was sitting Milly that had dark circles under her eyes. I bet she stayed up all night watching anime again.

After awhile the professor entered, Mr Colibri. He is my favorite professor. He always helps us and he loves all his students. The best thing about him is that he see as his friends and students, so that’s why he tease us all the time. Almost everybody likes him.

Today he gave as a new theme to work on. We had to make a self-portrait of our soul. I really liked the theme, so I started sketching of my idea on small piece of paper before I start drawing on my canva. While everyone was working on their sketch, Mr Colibri was explaining us what our self-portrait has to represent and what colors we can use.

While he was talking someone knocked the door. “Come in!” Mr Colibri said. Then a girl entered the classroom and smiled at us. “ Sorry to interrupt your lesson. I am here to inform you about autumn day events. The student council wants your help at design banners and other staff, and a-also they want three boys and three girls put on maid costume and take part at the maid cafe event.”

All the students looked at her shocked. A student, Connor, stand up and asked “Why we have to take part in the maid cafe event? And what will happen if we don’t take part?”. The girl looked at the student and said “The council picked especially your class to be part of the maid cafe, because they think you have the most beautiful and cute students. And if you disagree in participating, the president of the council told me to tell you to say goodbye to the fund money. I will be leaving now, and if it is easy we want to know tomorrow who will take part in the maid cafe” and with that she left the classroom.

All the students were shocked and worry. An awkward silence had covered the whole classroom. The council is full with hypocrites. Most beautiful and cute students, let me laugh. The silence was broken by Mr Colibri “Kids I know you feel weird, but I have a suggestion for you. You can vote who you want to see in a maid costume. Everyone has four votes. He or she has to pick two girls and two boys. So take a piece of paper and write down who you want to see in a maid costume.” Everyone quickly agreed.

I wrote down some random names of my classmates. I don’t understand even why there would be a maid cafe in a school event in the first place. But the biggest question for me was why our class had to participate in it. And the blackmailed us that they will cut the fund for the art department. So unfair! They just have power and they use it to satisfy their own needs.

While I was thinking about the council and the unjustice they’ve shown to the art department, the votes were counted by some students. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn’t realize what was happening. But then Mr Colibri said “ So the results are out! The girls will be Mary, Tina and Stefany. The boys will be Zane, Carter and the one with the biggest amount of votes River. So after the lesson you six go to the council room to tell that you will be taking part in the maid cafe.” The classroom became louder, as the students started talking with each other.

Milly was looking at me, trying to hold her laughter. I gave her a death stare, but that made her burst into laughter. I was feeling so bad! I don’t want to dress up as a maid. As I was looking around the classroom I saw some boys looking at me and winking. This is totally awful. The embarrassment was too much to handle.

The class ended and me, Zane, Carter, Mary, Tina and Stefany head to the council room. We arrived and we knocked at the door. A voice told us to come in. We entered the council room. It was actually pretty nice. There was a big comfortable couch, some desks, a bookcase and a note board. Five people were in the room.

Two of them were guys and the other three were girls.

Mary started talking “Sorry to disturb you, but we would like to say that we chose the people who will take place at the maid cafe. It’s the six of us.” The five of them looked at us. Then one of the boys started talking pointing at me“ You are River Kaneda right ?”. I nodded. He continued “We are so happy that you will take part at this! Students around campus will be really excited!”.

I was confused. “But why though?” I asked. The boy looked at me and said “You mean you don’t know that you are the number one beauty among the boys in our school? People want to f@ck you and you haven’t you heard anything about it?” After this I could feel my cheeks changing color. More embarrassment. This is the worst day of my life. I can’t take any more embarrassment today.

Thankfully Tina and Mary decided to handle the rest of the things, so they told me and the others to leave. They are such good girls. I am thankful for their help. I went to the cafeteria, where my two friends waiting for me. I sat on our table and then Sam looked at me and asked “Are you really going to wear a maid costume”. I nodded in embarrassment and then Sam started laughing. Milly joined him, while I was trying to restrain myself from punching their stupid faces! I can’t say they are amazing and I love them so much, but some times I wanna struggle them to death.

As these two continued laughing, I realized I had to visit the toilets. I got up, left the cafeteria and walked till I reached the men bathroom. I opened the door and for my surprise I saw...
