The new student

...The new student ...

I woke up and did my daily routine. After I finished my breakfast I head to the university. I walked into the university campus and I headed straight to the art history class. I was walking through the corridor quickly. It was still early and there were fifteen minutes till the class was supposed to start, but I wanted to talk to my teacher about my semester project.

I arrived at the classroom and I saw my professor, Mr Rakashi. No one else was there yet. Mr Rakashi was preparing the projector for today’s lesson. “Good morning Mr Rakashi” I said to him smiling. He looked at me and smiled. “River, What brings you here so early?” he asked me. “I wanted to ask some questions about the semester project, if that’s okay” I answered. Mr Rakashi said that he would love to help.

After I had finished with my question I headed to my seat. Slowly the class started getting crowded, as students were coming to attend the lesson. The lesson started, but Milly wasn’t there. We had same classes today. I bet she overslept again. She stays up all night watching anime and then she can’t wake up in the morning. But I am okay with her not being here, because she always disturb me during the lessons.

Don’t get me wrong, Milly is my best friend. But sometimes she too energetic and noisy. And I am a quiet person so sometimes she tries me, but she is always helping me and makes me day a little bit brighter. She is the best friend I could ask for.

When I finished my art history class I went to the science lab to fetch my other friend. The door of the lab was open and a lot of students were leaving the class.

-Sammy are you done?

-Give me a second R.

-My name is River, not R. Stop calling me that

-You call me Sammy, although my name is Sam!

-Well you never had a problem with me calling you that.

-Yeah but I want to have a nickname for you too!

-We will figure that out later...

The both of us walk to the cafeteria. Cafeteria never was crowded. Most of the students that would buy their food from the cafeteria they would eat it some-

where else, usually in the campus resting area. But today it was crowded. I hate big crowds like these. But why so many students were here? Sam looked at me. He probably had the same question.

As the crowd was getting denser around a table Sam suggest “Lets go see what’s happening!”. I just nodded and then follow him.

Even though we were close to the table we couldn’t see what was happening at the table, because of the the gigantic crowd. I poked angirl’s shoulder that was standing next to me and asked kindly “Sorry to disturb you, but what in the devil is happening here?”.

The girl looked at me and said in an excited voice “ The new student from the business department is so handsome and hot. His father also owns the university and that means he is rich. He also has two friends with him that are really hot”.

I dragged Sam and myself out of the crowd, we bought our lunch and then we head to the table we usually sit

-Man he is lucky

-I don’t care at all

-He has such a huge fangirl club...

-So what’s you point here Sammy?

-How come I don’t have a fangirl club and he has?

-Do you want me to say?

-I am not afraid of your answer River!

-Even though I haven’t seen his face, I know he is five times more handsome than you, he is rich and... well basically that’s the whole thing... he is what you would call chick magnet.

-How could you say he is more handsome then me!!

-You said you aren’t afraid of my answer.

-Whatever! Let’s just eat.

We started eating and soon after we finished our lunch. We separated ways and went to our classrooms. Before my class started I had a whole free hour, because Mr Colibri was sick and nobody could cover for him. I decided to spend this free hour at a bench in the campus’ giant yard, as it was a sunny day. I sat on the bench, I took out my sketchbook and I started sketching out some flowers.

The time past quickly and I decided to head to sketching class, because I had only ten minutes before the class would start. I was walking through the corridor in a normal speed when someone bumped into me. I lost my balance and I fell down. “Tch! Be careful when you are walking!” the guy that bumped to me said.

But before I could say anything the guy started yelling at me. “ Do you know who I am? Ha? Do you know I can destroy you with one finger little pest!”. Is he insane? He bumped into me and he is being so rude! “ I don’t care who you are, even if you were queen Elizabeth the second, I wouldn’t care about you! I am just trying to get to my class and you bumped into me! And because you have a short temper, that doesn’t give you the right of laying all you anger to a stranger that was unlucky enough to bump into you!”

The guy was just looking at my face. I felt awkward. So I walked passed him and I went to my classroom. I sat at my seat and I started thinking. Why he was staring at me like that? It was weird. But my thoughts were cut off by Mrs Zen, that al -ready had started her lesson.

After sketching class I had some other classes too. I attended them all and then I went to the coffee shop. I decided to call Milly and see why she didn’t come to school today, because even though I was 99% sure she overslept I was still worried about her. I also wanted to ask her about the meeting we had with the man that was going to rent the art studio to us. I dialed her number and she answered immediately.

-Hey River! How are you?

-Good, but I have two questions for you. Where were you today and when the man that will rent us the art studio will come?

-I overslept and he will come around 5:00, so be ready.

- I will! If you want come earlier for a cup of coffee and some chocolate cookies.

-Yes I will! Bye

-Bye
