I walked into the cafe. Emma saw me and waved her hand at me.

-Hey you are late today!

- Sorry Emma-Chan! Our professor kept us a little longer than usual

-You don’t have to be sorry, I was just worry! As you big sister I have...

-The responsibility to take of your younger brother.

-Hey! Stop completing my sentences! You know a hate it!

She pouted and I giggled

-Sorry, I will go change.

I went to the staff room change my clothes and put on my work suit. This cafe means so much to me. My parents open it when I was two years old. They named it Rainy drops. I never understood why, but for some reason I love it. Since my mother’s death two years ago my father decided to let me and my sister, Emma, handle the shop. Emma does more of the work around the shop because I am still in college. I am part of the art department of Sky university, one of the best and hard to get in universities in Z country .

“RIVER COME! TIME TO WORK” my sister yelled. She always had that bad habit. So annoying! I left the staff room and start working. Five minutes later someone entered the shop and yelled “RIVER!”. This time was Milly, one of my closest friends. She is always to noisy! Why everyone has to be noisy? I approached her quickly and we got out of the shop.

-Haven’t I told you not to yell inside the store? You scare the costumers!

-Sorry, but I was really excited...

-You always are...Now tell me what is it?

-I found an art studio with a really cheap rent near your house!

-Really? So is it available? Can we rent it?

-Yes, I talked to the owner and I told him to come here to talk.

-That’s great! When?

-Tomorrow at 5:00

-That’s great Mills! Will you stay for a cup of coffee?

-I would love to, but I have to run some errands for my family, maybe next time! Bye!

-Bye

I went back in and start taking orders. I was so excited! Me and Milly have been searching for an art studio for three months and now we found one. I walked to a table to take their order. I put on the smile I wear every time I take an order. “Hello, welcome to rainy drop cafe, what can I get you miss?”

The woman looked at me with a look full of disgust and pity. “Look little one, I am waiting for someone really important so take your dirty hands and come back when he is here” she said while she was looking at her nails. I forced a smile in my face. “Yes of course miss” I said and left.

When I reached the counter I banged the surving disk on the desk. Emma and the other two employees of the cafe looked at me with a confusion look. My sister looked at me and giggled “Another costumer that annoys you, why am I not surprised”. The employee next to her, Dave laughed. I looked at them with annoyance. “Stop it, would you?”I continued taking orders.

At 8:00 i went to my home. I leave alone. I live in an apartment that I rent near the university. I don’t have a roommate yet, he will move in with me next week. Even though the apartment is not something grand, it has an outstanding view of the whole Z country .

And that’s technically my life. I have some good friends and a loving family. I started university a month earlier and until now I am doing pretty well. Even though I don’t have a perfect life, I am happy with it and don’t want to change anything about it.
