4. Friends can heal

Elena didn't stop crying. The moments from her past haunted her. She said in between sobs, ''I couldn't think that you still love me. But I can't come to you. We are not meant to be together. I amn't worthy to get you. Please forgive me Rowen for not telling you about my identity as Elena.

   Let us live our lives like we did for the past three years. You can find your happiness in your new married life with Serina. I love you Rowen.... But I can't stay with you. Hope we will not meet each other again as I couldn't control my feelings for long whenever I see you. "

     She cried a lot but there is no one to comfort her. She is living alone with her daughter in an apartment rented near her office. Her mother is staying in her native country and handling their business along with her uncle. 

       She couldn't live in her country, where she shared most of the places and time with her family and Rowen. Every place has a memory about them. So her mother sent her to B country to relax and she started living there alone. But she didn't expect to see Rowen here after three years.

The world is really small and the destiny has its own plans. It will bring the people together, who are destined to meet and can separate the people without a reason, if they aren't meant to be together. Destiny is quite interesting.

       The God might have listened to her grief and loneliness. The phone rang suddenly when she is crying. When she took out the phone out of her bag, the screen displayed her best friend's name Tia. 

     It's true that our friends know our state of mind even when they are far away, as the telepathy exists.  She didn't dare to lift the call as she can't speak normally in her present state of mind. When she received the call again, she answered it, as she knows that Tia will keep calling until she answers.

     Her friend said, "Are you dead, why aren't you answering your phone idiot?" Elena wiped her tears and said, "Yes, I am dead three years ago. What's there to live such a secret life?" Tia was shocked to listen her words as she didn't speak such words earlier.

       Tia said, "What's wrong with you? Why are you crying and why are you speaking like that?" Elena  said, "I met Rowen today. He doubted me. But he is convinced that I amn't Elena and he went. But I am sad to see him... after three years...  but can't talk to him... can't spend my time with him..... avoiding myself from him.... hiding my identity from him..." 

     Tia listened to her but she doesn't want her friend to be sad. So she said, " You aren't Elena anymore. You are Hazel now. So you don't know who is Rowen and even Elena. If he likes you, he wouldn't have done like that. 

I have seen how close you were. I believed him a lot when he said about his feelings towards you. So I helped him to chase you. But I couldn't believe that he can also love someone else. If I knew it earlier, I wouldn't have helped him. That jerk, how can he cheat the most innocent and beautiful girl like you."

      '' But be strong. If he still likes you, he will like you even if you are Hazel. Don't think about him now. You will become more sad but nothing happens to change your life. The plastic surgery which you have done not only healed your wounds from the fire but also changed your face to a little extent. 

    Though you resemble each other, you aren't identical. You have also worked hard for five months to change your voice. So don't worry. He can never identify you, unless you  reveal your identity as Elena yourself.   

 Don't think about him. You will get your happiness. Destiny has it's own plans. So just go with it. You also have a daughter to take care of. So don't be sad. Cheer up my girl." Hazel was silent as she didn't understand what to speak further.

    So Tia continued speaking, "Won't you ask why did I call you?" Hazel cleared her throat and said, "tell me" Tia answered in excitement, "I am coming to your place within two weeks. I have transferred my job to a company in B country. I should join in the next month. Can I stay in your house till I find a house to check in?"

        Hazel became happy to listen her words. They looked like honey for a bitter mouth and the drugs for dying heart.

She said happily, "It's great to have you here by my side. It's already three years since we met. I am eagerly waiting for you. There is no need for you to search a house. We can stay here together."

     They talked for an hour and Hazel cleared her mind and became normal. Its a great luck to have a friend who can change our grief into happiness and Hazel is one of those lucky persons as she have Tia. Later she had her lunch and went to her office.

Hazel became normal just with her friend's call. But deep inside her heart, she wants to meet Rowen again, to see how is he doing.... to know how well is he living.... to know if he is happy.... and many more.

All these years, she only thought about Rowen and prayed that he should live happily without her memories with his loved ones. But when she came to know that he is going to marry someone, whom he doesn't know, she was sad.... she was worried about his future.....

So one side of her heart wants to meet him but other side kept denying it. She doesn't want to see him again as she is afraid of her own feelings.
