Chapter Thirteen

Kendrick fell asleep in the cave while waiting for Neo. He didnt realize that Neo has just arrived. Neo walked over to Kendrick and smiled. Kendrick woke up and saw Neo standing over him. "I didnt mean to wake you," Neo said. Kendrick grabbed Neo's hand and pulled him down to him. "You didnt," Kendrick replied hugging Neo. Neo hugged him back. "I was hoping you'd come sooner," Kendrick said sadly. "I tried to but the other Seraph was late," Neo replied. "I see. Does anyone know your with me," Kendrick asked. "No. I dont tell others where i go. They dont need to know," Neo replied then stood up. Kendrick stood up as well then grabbed Neo hand again. "Im gonna take you somewhere," Kendrick said. "Where are you gonna take me," Neo asked. "Dont worry its no where bad. I gotta a place i stay it other than this cave," Kendrick said.

After bout an hour they arrived at a small cabin in the woods that's bout 13 miles away from the town where the humans live. "Were here," Kendrick said then looked at Neo. "You live in a cabin and its not that far from the humans," Neo said. "Yes well the humans dont really come near. They are scared of the wolf that hangs around here," Kendrick smirked. "So you scare the humans away," Neo said. "I dont have to do much. Just growl when im shifted. As far as they know no one lives here," Kendrick said. "I see," Neo said. "Lets go inside and we will talk more," Kendrick said looking around. Kendrick went inside and Neo followed him in. They went and sat in the living area. "You never told me why you dont like the humans," Neo said. "The humans found me in my wolf form in the cave. They tried to catch me but they startled me awake and i may have hurt one. I tried to escape but they started shooting at me. One bullet actually hit me. They still followed me. After i got far enough away i shifted back and hid in a tree til they left. Once they left i came here. And well you know the rest," Kendrick said. "Is that why you called me and told you couldn't come meet me," Neo asked. "Yes," Kendrick said. "You should of told me. I would of come to help you," Neo said. "I didn't want you to see me hurt. I healed not long after anyway," Kendrick said then stood up and pulled Neo up. "Why you'd pull me up," Neo asked. "Its getting late we should go to sleep," Kendrick replied then started to walk towards the bedroom. "Oh alrighty," Neo responded then followed Kendrick. Once they reached the bedroom they went inside and got ready for bed. After they were ready Kendrick laid down first. Neo went to the bathroom and went to the bed and cuddled up to Kendrick. After they talked for a bit and bid goodnight they fell asleep.

Meanwhile in the town 13 miles away. Yelena and Lyle were walking in the shadows watching for demons and protecting the humans. At the time a group of humans were walking down the street. "I saw that wolf again today," one human said. "Really," another asked. "Yes near the gave again," the first human replied. "Guys i saw a couple people walk into that old cabin," the third human said. Yelena looked at Lyle. "Do you think they saw that fallen angel and Neo," Yelena asked Lyle. Lyle looked at the humans then at Yelena. "Im not sure why Neo would be there," Lyle said. "Well lets listen and find out," Yelena said. Lyle looked back at the humans. "We need to find out if that black wolf with the purple eyes is connected to that guy," the first human said. "Why do we need to do that," the fourth human asked. "Well i have seen that guy in both places. I've also that guy with the brown hair in both places and sometimes with the black haired guy," the first human replied. "Really maybe they are friends or something and they own the wolf," the fourth human said. "That's possible," the second human said. "Lets just get home," first human said. "Yea," the others said.

Yelena looked at Lyle and saw that he wasnt very happy. "Are you alright," Yelena asked. "I told Neo not to be around him. He isnt like us Yelena. Neo is a Seraph. If he gets caught with that fallen angel it could end badly for him. I dont want that," Lyle said calming down a bit. "I get that you want to protect him but you know Neo will be careful and he can protect himself. He is strong and smart. He hasnt got caught yet," Yelena said. "He was spotted by the humans with the fallen angel. Its just a matter of time. Once the heavens find out. He will be put on trail. Neo doesnt trust others. What if something happens and he ends being banished from the heavens," Lyle said. "It wont happen. Neo is smart and he will think of something. You know that," Yelena said. Lyle sighed and looked over at Yelena. "Your right im just over reacting. Neo is my older brother and i know he can handle himself. I dont know why i worry so much bout him,"  Lyle said. "He's your brother its normal for you to worry," Yelena said. Lyle looked around the area. "Well im not seeing any demons here," Lyle said. "Me either lets move to the next location," Yelena said. Lyle nodded and followed Yelena to the next area. They cleared each location and were bout to head back when they saw a couple groups of humans with weapons near the cabin. "Isn't that the cabin those humans were talking bout," Lyle said. "Yes," Yelena said. They decided to move closer but in their wolf forms. "I think you shot someone," the first human said. "I didnt mean to it was an accident. Beside we dont really know if i actually hit someone," the second human said. "You definitely shot someone. I heard a someone yell out," the third person said. Just then Kendrick walked out from the cabin. He had blood on him and he wasn't happy.

Kendrick looked around at the humans. "WHO THE **** SHOT THE GUN AND WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE HERE," Kendrick yelled angrily. "It was an accident. We were hunting and the gun went off," the third person said. "YOU NEED TO LEAVE NOW," Kendrick yelled. The humans quickly left from there. After that Kendrick look towards the woods. "I know you two are there come out," Kendrick said. Lyle and Yelena walked out from the forest and shifted back to normal. "What was that about," Yelena asked. Kendrick looked at them then went to the door. "Come in and see for yourself," Kendrick said then went inside. "Kendrick you didnt gurt the humans did you," Neo asked. "No i didnt dont worry. Did you heal yet," Kendrick replied. "Yes im alright and thanks for not hurting the humans," Neo answered. "Neo it was you they shot," a voice called out from behind. Kendrick moved out of the way and stood back behind Neo. "Lyle Yelena why are you guys here," Neo asked surprised. "We were passing by and saw the humans with guns so we stopped to see what was going on. We are on our back to the heavens," Yelena answered. "Are you alright," Lyle asked Neo. "Yes im alright it was a shoulder wound. Im already healed. No need to worry. You two should go report to the heavens bout the humans," Neo replied. Yelena and Lyle looked at each other then back at Neo. "Neo you sho...."We will go now. You two be careful," Yelena interrupted Lyle. "Alrighty you two be careful as well," Neo said. "We will," Yelena said then left with Lyle. Kendrick picked up Neo and carried him to the bedroom. "What you doing Kendrick," Neo shouted embarrassed and surprised. "Dont worry we are just going to sleep. I know you dont want to do anything yet," Kendrick said calmly. When they reached the bedroom Kendrick laid Neo down then laid down beside him and cuddled up to Neo. Once they stopped talking they fell asleep.
