Chapter Ten

"I see your in the woods again," a voice called from the trees. Zane and Aiden looked where the voice came from. "Lazarus are you out here practicing again," Zane replied. Aiden ducked behind Zane when Lazarus jumped down from the tree. "Of course. But i didnt think we'd meet again so soon Zane. Who's the kid," Lazarus asked. Aiden hugged Zane from behind and buried his face. Zane placed his hand on Aiden's arm. "This is my friend Aiden," Zane replied. "I see. He seems shy," Lazarus said. Lazarus wanted to get a look at Aiden but he continued to hide from him. "He is," Zane said. Lazarus sighed then sat down near a tree. "Something wrong. You seem a little down," Zane asked. "Yea im alright," Lazarus replied. "Did you find the demon you were after," Zane asked. "Nope but i believe there might be another one helping. To many humans are going missing or turning up dead," Lazarus replied. Aiden tightened his grip on Zane. Zane noticed this and rubbed his arm to calm him. "I saw the news the other day when my Aunt and Uncle were watching it. They found to bodies dismembered in an alley near my house," Zane said. "Well you and sister should be careful. If they find out their human disguise doesnt work with you two. They will kill you," Lazarus said. "Yes i know. I remember what you told me the first time we met," Zane said. "Well good. You still got that knife i gave you," Lazarus asked. "Not really i gave it to Zaire to protect herself with," Zane replied. Aiden tapped Zane on the shoulder which caused Zane to look at him. Aiden let go of Zane who then turned to face Aiden. "Something wrong Aiden," Zane asked. Aiden hugged Zane. "I wanna go," Aiden replied. "Oh alright then we will go now," Zane said. Aiden let go of Zane and Zane turned back towards Lazarus. "Hey Lazarus we gotta go. I'll talk to another day," Zane said. Aiden grabbed Zane's hand. "Alright see you later," Lazarus said. Zane and Aiden walked all the way back to town. The entire time Aiden stayed quiet. "Aiden are you alright. You've been quiet this whole time," Zane finally said once they reached town. Aiden turned towards Zane. "Im alright. But i need to head home. Haruka is home and is waiting for me," Aiden replied with a smile. "Oh alright man. Be safe. Catch you later," Zane said. "Bye," Aiden said then left.

Aiden reached home but before he walked in. Haruka walked outside. "Where were Aiden. I've called you twice and i messaged you," Haruka said angrily. "H..H..Ha..ru..ka i..im so..rry," Aiden said scared. "You always say sorry but you keep doing it. Aiden i know you are seeing that human. What is he to you," Haruka said. Aiden was surprised by what he said. "Ha..ru..ka pl..ease do..nt do this ag..ain. He is a fr..iend," Aiden said trembling. "Your scared of me arnt you," Haruka said smirking. "Im not," Aiden said. Haruka grabbed Aiden and pulled him inside. Once inside he throw Aiden onto the couch. He then proceeded to pin him down. "Ha..ru..ka please. Do..nt do this," Aiden begged. Haruka didnt listen and kissed Aiden. Aiden tried to push him off. Cause of that Haruka transformed and bit Aiden's neck. "AHHHHHHHH," Aiden cried out in pain. He started to cry and was tring to get Haruka to stop. Haruka stopped after while and looked at Aiden. He was a mess. He was crying and bleeding. "Im so..rry. Ha...ru..ka ple..ase st..op," Aiden begged. Haruka let go of Aiden then left. Aiden laid there for a while and ended falling asleep.

"Aiden wake up. Please man," a voice called out. Aiden opened his eye's and saw a boy sitting beside him. "David," Aiden said trying to sit up. David helped Aiden into a sitting position. "Yes its me. You weren't answering so i paid a visit. I let myself in when i smelled blood. Aiden what happened," David said. "Nothing you need to worry bout," Aiden replied looking away from david. "Did he do this to you again. You said he has changed. He hasn't changed at all if he still hurts you," David said. "I'm gonna go clean up," Aiden said then stood up. David followed him. "Aiden why did he hurt you," David asked. "He doesn't like my friend," Aiden replied grabbing a cloth and getting it wet. "He doesnt like any of your friends. What so different bout this one," David asked. "My friend is human," Aiden replied cleaning the blood of his neck and chest. "You he doesn't trust humans," David said. "I know," Aiden said. "What are you not telling me. Aiden i know your leaving stuff out," David said. "He knows bout demons. He can see us even with our human disguise," Aiden said. "Well then he has a rare gift. But thats not all," David said. "If i tell you this you cant tell anyone," Aiden said. "Dont worry i wont," David said. "He knows the demon hunter. The hunter gave him a knife but he gave it to his sister. What i dont understand is why he hasn't said anything to me. Im a demon as well but why does it feel like he cant see past mine," Aiden said then turned to David. "It cold be cause your magic and your illusions are powerful," David said. "Wait he has seen Haruka. But hasn't said anything," Aiden said. "Aiden Haruka cant keep his human disguise for very long. He also like being in his original form more. So your friend probably already knows," David said. Aiden went ito his bedroom and grabbed a clean shirt then put it on. "Im not sure what to do bout Haruka but if he finds out he could be mad. He might hurt him," Aiden said. "Find out bout what Aiden," Haruka said from behind David. David moved away and went by Aiden. "Nothing you need to know Haruka," David said. "I wasn't talking to you," Haruka said. Haruka walked over to David. "You dont need to know everything he does do you," David said. "Yes he is my boyfriend not yours," Haruka replied. "He's been my friend since we were kids. You've only known him for a few years," David said. Haruka and David argued back and forth for a while. Aiden felt something was bout to happen between the two. He stood up and got between them. "Please stop fighting," Aiden begged them. "Im sorry Aiden," David said. "Sorry," Haruka said. Aiden looked at the both them then asked them to step out so he can get dressed. Once he finished getting dressed he left his room. He went into the living room and heard David and Haruka arguing outside. Aiden stepped outside. "I SAID TO STOP," Aiden yelled. Both of them looked at Aiden shocked. "Aiden," they both said at the same time. "I dont wanna hear it. Until you two can stop fighting and get along im not coming back. I cant take the fighting anymore. I...i ca..nt ta..ke a..ny o..of th..is any..more," Aiden started to cry towards the end. "Aiden im sorry," they said at the same time again. "Ju..st do..nt," Aiden said crying harder then ran off into the woods.
