Chapter 18

Lyle sat alone while Yelena helped to try to look for Neo so called body. Scout approached Lyle. "Lyle," Scout said. Lyle looked up at Scout. "Tell me what happened," Lyle said with tears in his eyes. "We went to the demons and asked them what they wanted. They didnt say and just attacked. They missed me but got Neo in the shoulder. We got away but they found us once we stopped. We had to split up cause Neo wasnt able to teleport all four of us. He never made it to the palace but the warrior he was with stayed with him," Scout said. "The warrior came back with Lou and the others. But he didnt. They didn't even bring his body back," Lyle said. Scout was gonna say something but Yelena approached them yelling guys. "Yelena what is it," Scout said. "I over heard Lou. I think she did something to Neo," Yelena said. Lyle and Scout looked at her confused. "What do you mean," Scout asked. "Lou was talking to the warrior that was with Neo. Well more like arguing. The warrior said something isnt right. Lou told him that Neo wouldn't have made it back anyway and that its better everyone thinks he's dead. The warrior said that it was a shoulder wound but the blade had poison on it," Yelena said. "Poison? Wait that would explain why he wasnt healing and wasnt able to do much," Scout said. "Yea but thats not all. They mentioned Earth," Yelena said. "Earth why there. What if the humans find him," Scout asked. "Yes we should go look for him. If we're lucky he might still be alive," Yelena said.

Meanwhile Neo was found by Kendrick. He took him to his home. Neo opened his eyes and saw Kendrick back. Kendrick turned and saw that he was awake. "Your awake. Thats a good start," Kendrick said with a smile. "How long have i been here," Neo asked. "For few days. The poison was spreading quickly. I was able to slow it. But it will take time before it leaves your body," Kendrick replied. "Ok," Neo said. "What happened," Kendrick asked. "Demons were in the heavens. I was sent with Scout and two warriors to investigate. They attacked us but they got me and missed Scout. We were able to escape but they found us again. We split and teleported. I wasnt able to teleport to the palace. I passed out," Neo answered. "Im glad your alright," Kendrick said. Neo looked at him and smiled. "Dont worry so much bout me. Im not weak you know," Neo said. Kendrick smiled back at him. "I know but i cant help it. Your the only person that doesnt care that im a fallen angel. Now get some rest so you can recover," Kendrick said. After that Neo had fallen asleep again.

After sometime someone knocked on Kendricks door. He got up and answered it. "Its you. Did you at least get the medicine and bandages i asked you to get," Kendrick said coldly. "Y..yes h..h..here," the person said stuttering then handed Kendrick the bandages and medicine. "Are you sure this will help him fight the poison," Kendrick asked. "Y..yes if given to him correctly," the person answered. Kendrick saw someone standing behind the person. "Why are you with a human," Kendrick asked coldly. "Im not a threat," the human said. "He helped me to get what you needed," the person said. "A demon needed help from a human. Hmm why am i not surprised. Your weak Aiden," Kendrick said. "Your the one that asked me for help to save your lover. Who by means is a Seraph and could kill us both if he wanted to," Aiden said. Then human walked closer to Aiden and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Calm down Aiden," the human said. "Wait you did you know what i was or not. Once i learned that you can see demons. I always wondered if you knew i was one," Aiden said to the human. "I had my suspicions but the dude here confirmed it," the human said. Aiden hugged the human and he hugged him back. "Zane but why do you hang out with me if you knew," Aiden asked. "Cause i know you wont hurt humans," Zane replied. "Would you to stop. Aiden will you do the medicine. You said if its done right it will help," Kendrick asked. "Yes i will help," Aiden answered. Zane and Aiden broke their hug and followed Kendrick inside. Aiden applied the medicine and bandaged Neo up. After that he gave Kendrick some instructions then left with Zane.

A couple months past and Neo had fully recovered. "I have to go back Kendrick. The angels are at war with the demons. I'm a Seraph so i have to help," Neo said. "They left you here on Earth thinking your dead. They didnt come looking for you. Do you really think they care," Kendrick said. "My brother Kendrick. I'm worried bout my brother. He's not a fighter like me. I'm all he has and he is all i have family wise. I will come back to you once this war is over," Neo said then hugged Kendrick. "Please come back unharmed," Kendrick said then hugged Neo back. After a couple minutes Neo broke the hug. They said bye kissed then Neo returned to the heavens. Once Neo arrived in the heavens he went to the heavenly spirit. "Your alive," the heavenly spirit said. "Why wouldnt i be," Neo asked bowing. "You may rise," the heavenly spirit said. Lyle and Yelena came into the palace. Neo turned towards them. "Neo your alive," Lyle said then hugged his brother. Neo hugged him back. "If your here to report then report," the heavenly spirit said. "We are losing they got past the border and are coming closer," Yelena said. Lyle broke the hug and looked at the heavenly spirit. The heavenly spirit then turned towards Neo. "Are you fully recovered from your injury before," the heavenly spirit asked him. "Yes," Neo answered. "Good now please go assist with the war," the heavenly spirit said. Neo nodded then went with Lyle and Yelena to the front lines.
