The sound that laurain's heels made grabed the attention of all the employees.

They were looking in awe at their goddess not only men but also women could not help but look at her.

"Heh heh my goddess is here" laurain's secretary's, Eric said.

"Hey eric buddy my good friend lets change positions" Sid said (manager of the human resources department), putting his hand on his shoulder.

"No thank you" eric replied with a straight face and strode off.

Laurain went to her office on the 22th floor the top floor. Her office was next to the. CEOs office. As Laurain entered Leena also entered and put the important files on her desk. "Anything new?" Laurain asked in her usual cold voice. " There is nothing much going on lately"

"Three months , get your most trusted people we'll need them." Laurain instructed looking at the file.

"Understood" leena replied.

"You can go know" laurain said.

This was the most polite way in which Laurain talked to people she care about or respected. At work her first priority always remained work.

Leena was laurain's senior in university, Her family had their own business and she was very proud of herself. She was one of the arrogant and bitchy girl of the university. After some time her family business collapsed as her father was swindled off of his money. They even had to sell their house to pay of the debt.

Business was similar to war whenever people get opportunity they destroys what gets in their way.

They were left with nothing. One day when laurain was wandering the empty streets of New York in the middle of the night she heard a girls screaming. Laurain rushed their and saw 5 to 6 men dressed in black suit trying to take a girl in the car. Laurain first thought was that it has nothing to do with her. After walking two steps she turned around and grabbed the man's hand that was holding the girls color. The girl try to buy as much time as she could by resisting, dodging, shouting but she can't fight against 5 big mans. Laurain grabbed the mans hand and twisted it. A sound of crack was heard and the mans hand broke.

Laurain was a small girl back then from her physique no one could tell that she could fight this perfectly.

Even know it was the same.

The other four man came towards her together Laurain grabbed the second men's hand pulled him towards her and moved to a side just before striking his neck with a side of her palm. The men fell down. Laurain turned around and kicked the man behind her in his abdomen and he fell to his knees. The girl which was leena didn't know what happened it was just a minute and three men already on the ground.

Before the other men could do anything laurain stopped them by asking "What you want?" One of the men's said harshly "little girl walk away its nothing to do with you"

Laurain smirked which crept them out. In the dim street light her smile was similar to that of the devils.

The man on his knees said "Her family owe us money"

"How much?" Laurain asked.

"A million" the same man replied.

"I'll meet you guys tomorrow. Same time" laurain said "Don't be afraid I won't..........kill you" she added smiling.

Laurain grabbed Leena's hand and went away. It only took almost 5 minutes for the whole scenario to pass.

None of the mens tried to stop them. Leena ran in the street on the other side of the road shouting for her dad and mom. Laurain went behind her. Those men didn't even leave the old couple. They were sitting on the footpath. Leena ran to them and hugged them and cried. Laurain stood a little away from them. She just stared at them. Her face didn't show any emotions but for a second there was little warmth in them. Laurain turned around and was about to go away when she heard the old man saying thank you. Laurain turned around went to them sat with the family on the road. After a while she said "I'd like if we could have a meal together" after that she took them to her house which she bought in New York. Laurain worked in a small company by that time she was only a simple employee at that time.

Given with the money for her fees and other expenses she had enough money to buy the house as she got scholarships throughout her university years ohh she only attended university for a year as she completed her course earlier than other students by giving exams of two years together.

She had enough money in her account. Laurain cooked many things that she knew.

The table was filled with many dishes each one of them was delicious. When everyone sat on the table. Laurain was happy she smiled genuinely seeing them.

They ate their meal in a comfortable way. No one talked much but for a while Laurain felt very comfortable.

After the meal Laurain was leaving it was middle of the night the family didn't know what was going on wasn't it that , they should be leaving. Laurain was already out of the house. Leena chased her and called her name. "Thats your house from now on" laurain said without turning back and continue walking. "But..." before leena could say anything else Laurain cut her off by saying "No need to be thankful You.... can show your gratitude by working for me."

Leena ran and hugged Laurain from behind. Tears falling on Laurain's shoulder.

"Don't clean your snot from my clothes.... it's disgusting" Laurain said after a few minutes in her same cold manner. Leena laughed in between her sobs before nodding and freeing laurain from hug. "Goodnight " leena said. Laurain nodded her head and went away.

There was that breathtaking smile on her face while roaming around streets, after quite some time.

Laurain solved leena's problem and then no one talked about it. It has been 4 years since laurain and leena know eachother and Laurain trusts leena more than anyone in business related work.

Laurain finished her work at almost half past 12 pm as she came early and most of the things would be managed by leena and she gave her the reports on daily basis so Laurain didn't need to come to the company often.

Laurain went to Kevin. He mostly live in that old building. Laurain went straight to the tenth floor. Kevin was sleeping in his room. No one has the privilege to enter Kevin's building except laurain and steven.

Laurain went in his room and kicked him out of the bed

"LAURAAAAIIINNN" kevin shouted as soon as he landed on the ground. Laurain putted on her heel and went out of the room in a hurry.

"GET HERE" kevin shouted running after her. Kevin , Laurain and Steven knew eachother from when they were teenagers. They are the most close ones to laurain.

Laurain chuckling went to the couch and sat there. Kevin came from behind her and his hands landed on her head he made a mess of her hair. Laurain tried to stop him but he just wouldn't stop than kevin pulled laurain's cheek with much force.

"Kefoein berftt shbp ( kevin you better stop)" laurain said.

Kevin left her cheeks which turned red after a while.

He laughed to his hearts content seeing her sorry state. Laurain's hair were looking similar to that of a birds nest.

Laurain set her hair with her hands kevin also got refreshed by then. Kevin went to his desk picked up a file and handed it to her.

"I know you came for this" kevin said sitting on his chair. Laurain smiled and started reading the file.

"So what's your plan?" Kevin asked.

"I will be free in almost 3 months I guess than I will tell you about what I had planned." Laurain replied.

"Hmm , lets go eat something " kevin said and walked towards the elevator. Laurain also followed.

The whole of the building was like a house. The 9th floor was like a living room. 8th floor was the TV lounge. 7th floor kitchen. It was like this for the rest of the floors and each floor has bedrooms.

Kevin went to the kitchen while laurain went in to kevins bedroom and sat down on the sofa. The bedroom was big enough for 3 to5 to live their comfortably.

Kevin finished making lunch and went to call laurain. Laurain was sitting on the sofa comfortably with her eyes closed and her head resting behind. Kevin called her name. He didn't receive any reply he supported himself on the door and watched her for a while.

"Keep watch on them for me" laurain said after a while her eyes still closed.

"Hmm come eat" kevin said and walked out laurain also followed.

Kevin didn't made lot of things but he was an excellent cook. His every dish was finger licking good.

He made chinese rice , pasta and some chicken wings he also put some bread. Laurain sat on the dining table and begin to eat. These were there favorite dishes. Simple as that but kevin laurain and steven liked it very much.

Laurain ate the chicken wings with bread she always ate them with bread she really liked it.

"Can you do me a favor?" Laurain asked in a polite manner still eating.

Kevin eyed her suspiciously and was about to say something when laurain said "Open a restaurant and hotel for me."

First, he was shocked than he smirked,

So you want my help, hahaha

An evil plan cooking in his mind.

Kevin put his knife and fork down, preparing to start his drama,

"Yaa you work as a VP of a big company your pay is very good you don't even work so much and get a pay just doing your work from home your account has much money than I have earned from my own hands(showing his hands) moreover thats your money which you earned from your hardwork its not that its from that old man that he would take it away also you repaid the money they spent on you by making their company .....(takes a deep breath).... prestigious or whatever it is" kevin exploded he said everything in one breath, perfectly acting like a frustrated man.

Well, He was the laziest person Laurain had ever met.

"First: I have more money than you are you kidding me or what? I just didn't play with money thats why I have more money than you. Except for a house and a car I didn't buy anything unnecessary like you making a house in every city. Ah (putting her finger on her chin) you recently bought a house in that most expensive residential area am I right" laurain said sternly "I am just asking you to help me build a 5 star restaurant and hotel for me how much difficult can that be moreover I'm giving you money."laurain said pouting.

No one would have thought that the ice cold queen has such a side.
