In the study room. Kevin was busy doing his work on the laptop. The whole tenth floor was his study room. There were floor to ceiling bookshelves on the front and the left wall. On the right one there was a big 70 inch television. And some couches in front. Beside the bookshelf there was a door which led to his room. The whole room was lit with lights and the dark and white background added more beauty to the room even the bookshelf was all black.

There was a big table in the front. Kevin was doing his work when he heard the voice of elevator opening. The elevator serves as the door for each floor.

Laurain came in and went straight to the couch. Comfortably sat there put her head on the couch and closed her eyes.

Kevin seeing her smiled and continue doing his work.

Laurain was thinking about the things that happened. She was recalling when Mrs. Vincent Long came on the stage also the man with her. He had almond eyes and some of his hairs had turned white. Stein that should be his name. Thought laurain. Tom's parents were also there.

Laurain smiled in a self\-mocking way.

They were getting old.

She always told herself that what happened might not be true. She did not bother to investigate about them. But it seems like life played a joke with her.

After about an hour kevin came and sat down beside Laurain. She didn't bother open her eyes.

Kevin Anderson, 24 years old was Laurain's best friend, brother, and also one of the people she trusted the most. He was handsome with his black hair and black eyes his eyes as clear as water and fair white skin. He was a tall muscular man of 1.88 meters.

He sat comfortably and also put his head comfortably behind and closed his eyes.

No one spoke a single word. It feels as of they were conveying their feelings and thoughts through silence.

Laurain replied only to let him know that she was listening.

Kevin knew that Laurain was thinking about something. Kevin didn't want to disturb her so he didn't say anything else.

After a while laurain said "Investigate some people for me."

"Sure" kevin replied.

"We found 'their' base in france" kevin continued he opened his eyes to see laurain's reaction.

Laurain started to laugh lightly more like chuckling.

"The game will start soon. Let them enjoy a little more." Laurain replied still smiling. Kevin regretted his decision of seeing her reaction which give shivers down his spine. Her smile was evil.

"Can't you think it over" kevin asked genuinely. He really wanted her to leave the path she was taking. She was young and can turn over a new leaf. With her skill everything was possible for her.

"I can't. What's the use of everything if I have to give up coming so far." She said self\-mockingly looking straight in his eyes.

He stared at her for a while.

"I am not weak" Laurain replied sensing his uneasiness.

He put his hand on her shoulders from behind and put her head on his shoulder. Neither of them spoke.

Laurain closed her eyes.

They stayed in the same position for a while.

"When is he coming back?" Kevin asked.

"Next week l guess" Laurain replied

"So you're leaving next week then."

Kevin said.

"Hmm" Laurain replied.

"Whom do you want to investigate?" Kevin asked looking at laurain.

"The Long family" laurain said opening her eyes.

"Didn't you said you don't want to get involved with them." Kevin asked knitting his brows.

"Fate played a game"Laurain replied. Before kevin could ask any further she said "I have sent you the pictures investigate the people in them. If my guess is correct they should be from the Long family."

"Hmm" replied kevin and didn't ask further. It was almost 12 at night so laurain stood up and said. "Its late goodnight" "Yeah,yeah you should go you wasted my precious time. I would have finished my work till know" kevin said.

"Huh , I have never seen an underworld gang leader doing work so efficiently"Laurain said sarcastically.

"Heh Heh I am also a businessman for your kind information. You should try to show some respect to me as i work so hard to make ends meat my DEER" kevin said smiling.

"DEER! Uhh \(putting her hand on her head and sighing\) now I know why I really didn't want to show you some respect. \( moving towards kevin and putting her hand on his shoulder\) keep trying you will improve."laurain said smiling which washed of the smile on Kevin's face.

"You you... really! Go go go i have work to do" kevin said shooing her away. "Are you sure?" Laurain said seriously.

kevin glared at her hard with a grim face.

Laurain went to the elevator and pressed the button the elevator opened before entering she glared at the two men standing in the black suit in the dark elevator. No one would be able to tell that there were two men standing in the elevator. They were able to hide their presence very well.

Laurain reached the academy at 12:30 only by driving at a higher speed or it would have taken more time.

After entering through the main gate and parking her car. Laurain was going to her dorm room when the guard asked her to go to the head office first. After changing into her uniform laurain went to the head office. She knew what was coming.

Sir Allison the head of the academy give Laurain Punishment of doing 3 sets of running 5 laps around the 500 square/metre ground.

Sir Allison was a man in his early forties and maintained himself verywell so that he only looked like in his thirties. Laurain was Sir Allisons favorite candidate and soldier.

Laurain accepted the punishment. And went to the ground on the other side of the dorms where the ground was. The head office was near the ground and Sir Allison was seeing Laurain running through his floor to ceiling window. Sir Daniel knocked and entered the head office and stood beside Sir Allison who were immersed in his thoughts. Sir Daniel sighed and said " Why are you punishing her. Isnt she your favorite student"

"A soldier" Sir Allison corrected.

Sir Daniel didn't said anything and thought that the conversation was finished when Sir Allison said "She is my favorite and my pride thats why I'm punishing her."

Sir Daniel didn't expect that Sir Allison would accept that himself. It was just that he complemented her a few times which was rare of him that everyone thought that she was his favorite student.

Oh soldier.

When laurain returned to her room it was 3 in the morning. She quickly took a bath and went to bed, taking her medicines.

"Hahahahaha sis hurry up catch me" the beautiful voice of the little girl came. Running around the beautiful flower field the three girls played together. There parents watching them from under the tree as they play happily. The whole perfect family. Without a care in the world as they spend their time in the flower field. In the sunlight the girls ran after one another.

Suddenly the sound of gunshots came and they were in there house.

"No leave us... we don't know.. anything ... the women said between her sobs. BANG the women fell to the ground covered in blood

"No.. No... leave them" Laurain cried in her sleep tears rolling down her face.

"Le. leave us"the girl cried protecting her little sister behind her. BANG the girl fell down with eyes open covered in blood.

"No...Noo leave them" she shouted tears rolling down her eyes.

The little girl cried her eyes out everything was covered in blood she didn't even know what was happening. BANG the voice of the little girl died down.

The bodies of her loved ones lay their motion less covered in blood. In their house.

"No Noo " laurain woke up shouting from her dream. Tears rolling down from her eyes. Her hand on her chest, gasping for air.

Laurain sat up on the bed her left hand on her chest and brushed her long hairs from her face with other hand and put it on her forehead supported by her knee.

Tears continue to roll down from her eyes as she hides her face in her arm.

Only the sound of her light sobs was heard in the dark room.

It was getting more and more difficult for her...... as days pass by.

It was 5 in the morning, Laurain stood in front of her window seeing as the sun comes and brightens everything little by little, the scene gave laurain a lot of peace.

Her red eyes cold not a slight bit of warmth in them.

Laurain took a cold bath changed in a black shirt and pants put on her long dark red maroon colour coat tied her hair in a simple ponytail and put on her black pencil heals. Laurain didn't like to put on makeup her fair white skin and beautiful features were enough for her.

It was almost 6:30am when laurain

left her room she handed her application of leave for a week to the guard and asked him to put it in the head office. She then went straight to the MORGAN enterprises.

MORGAN enterprise was laurain's fathers company in which she started working since she was 17 as a manager.

Laurain Morgan Stone was the top student in MBA in Columbia University in New York and also completed her course in one year.

Laurain has the position of Vice President in the company. From a manager to the director and to VP she earned it all by her own hard\-work. The company expanded much because of her day and night of hardwork.

Mr. Morgan trusts her very much. As she never did anything neither emotionally nor physically that could hurt him or his family in anyway.
