The end?

Princess Ellen stood there not able to process what she had just done. She took of her mask which was a taboo for a Royal family member and they could only let thier family members see thier face else it could endanger thier lives. She was not worried at all about her life being in danger but that she might have disappointed Avery's expectations.

She stood there in a daze for so long till the Prime Minister’s daughter Tereza saw her. She was surprised to see Ellen in a 'shock state' not knowing what had happened or what was going on with Ellen. Tereza took her and went to an Inn. There the Princess began to drink wine and recount the story of how she met Avery. It was three days before the Annual Girl's day and the Queen her mother had organized a Royal banquet inorder to choose a suitable husband for the Crown Princess, Ellen. She fell in love with Avery at first sight whom she thought was one of the few scholars. However he turned out to be a flower seller but she still fell for him.

At the Royal Banquet so many men peasant or scholar, rich or poor competed in knowledge, wisdom, strength, honesty, sincerity and responsibility for the Crown Princess’s Consort position. Many were eliminated from the first round and a few more eliminated on the next and so on until only ten men remained. Only one would be selected among them and it turned out that Avery was also among them. However, at that time the Crown Princess Ellen was reluctant to marry a person whom she didn't love and so she canceled the competition at the last stage saying her rightful husband should not only be chosen by herself but that he also should love her as a person and not as the Crown Princess.

She had no idea she would fall in love with Avery and even be rejected and loved all over again. She knew it was her fault that she hid her identity but at that time she didn't want him to know that she was the Crown Princess moreover the Royal family members had to keep thier identity a secret from the people by hiding their face fully with a mask. Or if they were to go incognito, they dressed as ordinary people and so she couldn't help but hide her identity from him. But that didn't mean she was excused for her behavior. Thinking all of this her head was in a mess and she couldn't think of anything else.

Her unrequited love as Ellen had broke her self- confidence and so she couldn't bring herself to admit to Avery that the Crown Princess was the same person he rejected while being disguised as Ellen an ordinary person. She even doubts whether his feelings for her were true or like the other men flattering her because she was the Crown Princess. At times she wonders why she should care about this but it never leaves her mind. So she had to confirm before they actually settle down or to be precise before she falls too deep for him. By telling him of her other identity it was like giving herself a last chance to back out of everything.

"But, Ellen continues what if he really doesn't love me but loves only the title of the Crown Princess’s Consort after all he rejected me as Ellen." Tereza knew Ellen was too drunk to go back to the palace so she took her to Prime Minister’s mansion, her house. The whole night Ellen kept on tossing on the bed and couldn't fall asleep. Seeing this Tereza became so anxious for her friend, it was obvious that she had fallen to deep to back out now and she could easily get hurt if Avery were to break off relation with her. Dignified as Ellen was she still fell for Avery even after being rejected and even went out of her way to court him when as the Crown Princess she could easily get any man she wanted just by mentioning her identity.

This reminded Tereza of her own story, she also fell for Derek the cousin of Avery who was a playboy and would treat all women in the same caring manner. She knew this yet still helplessly fell in love with him. She could foresee herself one day in a worse state than Ellen and couldn't help but feel pity for herself and Ellen.
