As the day came to an end, the Queen sent out all her soldiers in search of the Crown Princess and they had searched the Royal Hunting Ground for over six hours yet, there was no sign of the Crown Princess. As the day became dark, the Queen became more and more anxious for the Crown Princess however nothing could be done so they decided to continue the search the next day. The Queen spent a restless night and woke up at dawn, to continue the search for the Crown Princess in the whole kingdom of Tori. She send her soldiers to search every town. The Kingdom wide search took three days but the Crown Princess was nowhere to be found. This made the whole citizens of Tori worried about the Crown Princess.
Meanwhile on the other side, Princess Ellen and Avery were trying to find a way out of the steep mountain, while surviving on some wild fruits and water from a nearby spring. They had spent four nights and three days together and were becoming closer and came to know much more about each other. Princess Ellen protected Avery and herself from wild animals with her sword and Avery blushed every time Princess Ellen grabbed his hand to run away from the wild animals. One time Avery was nearly bitten by a snake but was saved by Princess Ellen, who aimed her sword and killed it. After so many near death experiences Avery became alert and managed to catch Princess Ellen’s hand in time once, to get away from a huge swarm of bees.
As they went around the forest each day, Princess Ellen brought back with her some strong vines and had gathered enough by the fourth day. Princess Ellen wanted to let Avery know the good news so she called him over and said "Avery, we can finally get out of this place tomorrow. I found a way out for us". Hearing this Avery beamed "Really we can get out tomorrow?" Princess Ellen was disappointed at Avery's reaction he seemed like he wanted to get out of the forest so much but she smiled and said "Yes, we're getting out finally". Avery felt disheartened to see the Crown Princess so happy to get out of the forest thinking they would be parting very soon. Yet neither of them showed thier true feelings and smiled acting as though they were eager to get out of there.
Early the next day, they set out on thier journey with the strong vines and some fruits. They walked for a while and as they came to the foot of the mountain they saw that it was steeper than they had thought it would be. Princess Ellen looked around and then climbed up for awhile leaving Avery alone who couldn't climb up at all. As Ellen climbed up to a certain distance she took the vines and tied it to some strong trees and went back down with the help of the vine. Princess Ellen then tied the vine on Avery and helped him climb up, Ellen led him from ahead with the help of her sword and climbed in front of Avery. She took the vine and tied it to some strong bushes for Avery making it much easier to climb the steep mountain. As they climbed on for an hour and a few minutes Ellen had reached the top and she put her hand down to help Avery and pulled him up to the top.
As they looked around they saw a way down the mountain which they took and came to a small village. They took shelter from a grandma's hut who gave them some change of clothes and food. After asking around they found out that they were not far away from the main city however it was getting dark so they decided to spend the night there and set off the next day. As they ate and got ready for the night, granny came over and greeted the Crown Princess saying "Your highness, 'Crown Princess' it's an honor for your humble citizen that you came to seek shelter in my humble abode." Though Ellen was startled, it was no wonder that granny knew her as the Crown Princess for her royal clothes and her mask marked her as the Crown Princess. They set off the next day and arrived at the main city gate before noon.
[Princess Ellen could get out of the steep mountain easily if she was all by herself yet, she couldn't leave Avery alone so she had to spent all those days in the forest.]
