INTRODUCTION

ALICE: I am 28, that means i am responsible enough,i should look after my father and my sister,since i don't have a mother, i always wanted to live my life to fullest,i have some dreams.... 'some'?(fake laugh)many.. but there is nothing above my family.

john: i am john, i will turn 66,this year, i have only one aim in my life and that is to see my daughters happy, i love them more than anything, there was a time when i does'nt have anything to protect,i was a brave man,who did'nt gave a damn about anything,but then these two girls came into my life, i love them equally, but i feel guilty, my alice, i love her but fail to express her,she is my eldest daughter and from a very young age she took responsibility of the house, the things that i can't give her,atleast i can give those things to rachel.... she is my younger daughter

rachel: am rachel, youngest daughter of my family, i love my father and alice too,am 23... for me,i think, i am perfect  (laughs) am just joking, but yes i am pretty and have some good qualities too, me and rachel are not real sisters. we share same father but our mothers are different, i regret it, and want to apologize to alice for saying her that she is not not my sister... i was too young to realize but now,i am ashamed of my actions, and yes i have attitude problems,so what????

professor stephen timon williams : insane? am use to this word, from very young age,this what kids use to tell me, my father loves me,and i can do anything for him, i am currently in the mental asylum... uh! its a long story, it was from the time i was 6, i experience some strange things,its feels like someone is waiting for me eagerly, like that person has waited years to meet me, i want to go there and see, who is that one who wants to meet me... am 30... but still i can't remember how i grew so old...

RACHEL: Uh! Did you remember that story?

ANNA: are you talking about the African boy story?

RACHEL:oh you really remember that?

ANNA: of course we have to remember that one, afterall Dr. Alice did the research

RACHEL:forget about Alice am really disappointed by the chairman how can he believe in all her stupid researches.

ANNA: does she really want to prove that there is life after death ,I mean come on ! she is not a cartoon character why does acts like one?  Alice in wonderland. (laughs)

(CHAIRMAN ENTERS)

CHAIRMAN: Dr. Anna please give me the research report.

ANNA: yes sure sir, here you go( gives him the report)

CHAIRMAN: get ready for new patients. This time it will be a heavy duty.

RACHEL: Sir, which disorder patients will be admitted?

CHAIRMAN: (HESITATES)uh! This time the patients are of…..

RACHEL: of?

CHAIRMAN : um….

ANNA: Sir what is it?

CHAIRMAN: I know your capabilities, that’s why this time I am thinking of taking some difficult cases, I mean you have handled so many disorders , you can handle these one too! (SMILES)LET’S GET IT…..(SHOUTS)

(CHAIRMAN LEAVES)

ANNA:UH ! that was scary, he’s so childish !

RACHEL: his age is equal to my father’s , but sometimes I doubt who is more mature, me or the chairman.

(CHAIMAN GOES OUT OF THE HOSPITAL, HE’S A MAN IN HIS 60’S ,WHO WANTS HIS CHILDREN TO SETTLE DOWN. HE HAS A FUNNY AND JOLLY NATURE )(HE WALKS IN THE HOSPITAL GARDEN WHERE ALICE APPROACHES HIM)

ALICE: Sir, am sorry am bit late (SMILES) but I am done with my presentation .

CHAIRMAN:Dr. Alice, think about it  again , are you sure we should admit those patients?

ALICE:Sir , we should admit them, they only have doctors to trust upon

CHAIMAN:ok fine, doctor, but you have to prove me that my decision was correct

(IN THE PREAENTATION ROOM,, 

ANNA(25) – BIT JEALOUS BUT GOOD AT WORK,    RACHEL(24)-CLUMSY IN NATURE , EXTRA EMOTIONAL, SAM(25)-ATTRACTIVE,STRONG PERSONALITY GUY AND   DAVID(25)- DONE WITH HIS LIFE, BOOKWORM,LONELY,NOT AT ALL ATTRACTIVE ,WEARS SPECTACLES AND      ALICE(24)- DEDICATED TO WORK, WILL DO ANYTHING FOR HER PATIENTS, HAVE NO PERSONAL LIFE)

(PRESENTATION BEGINS, ALICE WAS THE ONE TO PRESENT THE DATA ,THE DATA GOES AS FOLLOWS:)

 2012:  A Japanese man, believing that he was dead, consulted doctors to determine if his suspicions were correct.  When asked by physicians whether a dead man could show up for a medical consultation and carry on a conversation with doctors, the man admitted that this was a brain teaser. However, he could not be dissuaded from the belief that he was dead.  Eventually, he responded to treatment but continued to believe that he had previously been dead (though had somehow been reanimated in the present).

2009: In Belgium, an elderly man presented himself at a hospital to complain that, although he had died several days ago, no one had bothered to bury him. Psychiatrists diagnosed him with anxiety, depression, and Cotard’s syndrome. He eventually responded to treatment.

CHAIRMAN:So , alice what should we do  in response to this data

ALICE : (SMILES) Sir , admit those patients.(looks  towards everyone). Those who agree with me please raise your hand

(david raises hand)

DAVID: of course I am with alice (smiles)

(sam raises his hand too)

SAM:fine let those patients in, afterall we all are  proffesionals, we can deal with them

RACHEL: (whispers to herself) uh! I really want to leave this psychiatrist job ( rolls her eyes )   “fine I will agree too!”(speaks loudly)

(everyone stares at anna)

ANNA: do I have any choices?

ALICE: (SMILES ) YESSS! Did you listen to that? I won! (starts jumping)

CHAIRMAN:ALICE! Behave,(sees towards everyone) um am sorry !

(chaiman leaves the meeting)

(DAVID APPROACHES ALICE)

DAVID: Alice! You are the best ( leaves)

ALICE- Ummm yeah david!

(Lunch break)

(SAM , RACHEL, ALICE AND ANNA ARE SITTING ON ONE TABLE WHEREAS DAVID IS SITTING ALONE ON ANOTHER TABLE )

RACHEL:uh! He is really something . he really irritates me a lot(SEES TOWARDS DAVID)

ALICE: What is he saying to you ? don’t act like that

ANNA: even you don’t say anything to us , still your action irritates us.

SAM:HEY! Stop it now ! you guys are so childish,  Anna you should apologize to alice

(ALICE LOOKS TOWARDS DAVID)

ALICE: Why is he eating alone?

RACHEL; but the more important question is why is he wearing those specs these specs are so irritating.

ALICE: The one who is irritating is you not him!

(ALICE GOES AND SITS WITH DAVID)

ANNA:uh why don’t the chairman just kick her out.

SAM: (SEES TOWARDS ALICE)umm! Maybe because she different from you two!(SITS WITH ALICE AND DAVID)

ALICE:DAVID! Thanks for helping me back there.

DAVID:WELL! I did’nt really help you, I just want to treat them

ALICE: but still it must be difficult for you to support me when you don’t even know what kind of patients are coming

DAVID: WELL! Of course the patients must be of walking corpse syndrome.

SAM:(SHOUTS) what?(GOES TO ANNA AND RACHEL FOR TELLING THEM)

ALICE: how did you knew about that! You should’nt have told them that! Uh! What did you do david(ALICE LEAVES IN FRUSTATION)

DAVID: (whispers to himself) but was’t it obvious? earlier she gave presentation about walking corpse! Uh ! ofcouse it was obvious.

(ANNA TRIES TO FIND CHAIMAN EVERYWHERE BUT COULD’NT SHE GOES IN THE GARDEN AND SEES 2 AMBULANCES APPROACHING, RACHEL AND SAM FOLLOWED HER)

RACHEL: Are we late?

ANNA: Well we are very late!

(the chaiman asks alice and others to help him)

CHAIRMAN:come on help these patients to get out of this ambulance , david  and alice you both take them to their assigned rooms.

ALICE:MR.buchlter , stage 3 , corpse syndrome ,bed no.8.

Mr.adam, stage 2, corpse syndrome ,bed no.4

Mr.dezzy , stage 2 corpse syndrome , bed no.6

And mr., (pauses) oh! this one is professor,(sees towards the patient, a guy in his late 20’s  who seems as healthy as anyone in this world, he smiles looking toward her and answer “yeah am a professor”

ALICE: (PAUSE) umm oh yeah am sorry ! I was just thinking of something else, you are PROF. STEPHEN TIMON WILLIAMS, age- 29 , stage 1 , bed no. 1 (smiles), so from today onwards may I call  you steve?

(the professor ignores her and walks inside of the hospital)

ALICE:uh ! so these patients are under me!

CHAIRMAN : BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE OK!(laughs loudly)

ANNA:does he really enjoy doing this!ahhhh

(alice  goes inside to see everyone , adam , a man in his 50’s approaches her)

ADAM: HEY! Did you bring me here to punish me for my sins (cries loudly) am I in hell? I cant live here anymore! Please give me a new life(holds alice’s legs)

ALICE: sir please calm down you cant cry like  this please!

( watching mr adam other patient starts crying loudly too. The hospital became a mess)

(alice calls out others   for help )

Anna: now she needs us! (shouts) tell her to handle them herself now.

( david and sam goes to help her. Afterwards, anna and Rachel joins too.)

(5 of them put the patients into their bed it was really difficult as they continued to cry)

(rachel approaches alice)

RACHEL :who is that guy(points towards prof Stephen, as he was silently reading a book)

ALICE:prof. Stephen timon Williams

RACHEL : Its his name alone?

ALICE: WHAT? Who else is with him?

RACHEL : I think he is possessed with two more souls that’s why he is Stephen-timon-williams.

ALICE: (PAUSES) and I thought all doctors are SMART( smiles and leaves)

RACHEL: did she meant I am NOT SMART? ( to herself)

(alice approaches Stephen)

ALICE : UMM… HEY steve do you  need anything?

Prof. Stephen: umm yeah! These led’s are too bright, don’t we have some dim lights

ALICE:( whispers to herself) seriously? Is this a hotel or what?

(to prof.) umm sure sir we have dim lights in hall lets go there, do you have any other problems?

PROF STEPHEN:umm ! no, rest all is ok(a long pause). Uh wait!

(ALICE TURNS TOWARDS HIM)

ALICE: SIR? WHAT IS IT

PROF: my name is Stephen timon William, don’t call me steve ever again, next time I will really get offended!

ALICE:( GIVES A BLANK EXPRESSION) Umm ok ! I mean yeah( stammers)

PROF:ok? Yeah? Uh you should say sorry in such situations!

ALICE:wh-what?(shouts)

PROF: HUH! Did’nt you get that? Umm… ok you must be a slow learner, but I will help you, come on repeat after me “sau-err-rriii”

ALICE: (loses her temper and shows him , her fist)

(CHAIMAN ENTER)

CHAIRMAN: what in the world are you doing dr. alice! Its 1st rule of hospital ! should I repeat?

ALICE: UH! Yeah I know that very well sir , don’t get hyper easily and don’t hurt patients

CHAIRMAN: GOOD  you remember that one!

(chairman was about to leave but alice starts talking)

ALICE:sir, its not the 1st rule it’s the 4th one!

CHAIRMAN: oh really? ( laughs loudly) oh I should go now!

ALICE:UH SERIOUSLY?(WHISPERS)

PROF: (LISTENS HER) uh! You should be respectful to your elders I mean come on, his age is similar to that of your father, be kind to him

ALICE: Are you insane or what?( leaves the room)

PROF:uh! She should’nt walk away when someone is talking!( to himself)

( she walk’s towards the hall where dezzy, stage2 , approaches her)

Dezzy: hey see here!( calls out adam(stage2) and butchler(stage3))

ADAM: what is it?

Dezzy: see! Its an angel ,here

Adam: oh ! you are right! We must have been  shifted into heaven!

ALICE(SMILES) uh! Are they crazy or what come on am not that pretty!(TO HERSELF)

(MR BUTCHLER ENTERS)

Mr butchler: see carefully! It’s a witch wow I have ,seen a witch for first time.

DEZZY:what? Really?

ADAM: OH! Yeah! You are right , her hairs are all messed up . she must be witch

ALICE: (shouts)if you guys will not shut that mouth I’ll kick you guys in the hell

ADAM:hey! Did you hear that! She is really a witch !

CHAIRMAN:hey! Alice how is everything going?

ALICE: uh, sir its really difficult to handle thesepeople!

CHAIRMAN: well,  you are the one to let them in!

ALICE:yeah, unfortunately.

CHAIRMAN: SO,  you said that , you have to receive someone from airport.

ALICE: ( LOOKS TOWARDS CHAIRMAN)umm that , oh yeah I forgot, ill be going then.

( alice opened the car door,david appears)

David: so, are you going to receive someone at airport?

ALICE: well, you know too much, you know about walking corpse patients and now even this that I am going to receive someone?

DAVID: WELL, I know many other things too.

ALICE: like?

DAVID: umm, like chairman is your father?

ALICE:  ( HESITATES) wh-what?

DAVID: am I wrong?

ALICE: N-NO,  I mean yes! Wait, we will surely talk about it later ok? Until then it’s a secret! Ok?

David: ummm, ok I can do that much for you.

( alice sits in the car)

( alice, reaches airport)

( she stands where people were waiting, with the name of  Rachel)

( a stylish short – heighted girl , in her early 20’s, her clothes and shoes appeared like she spent all her money upon them, with hair all straight and blonde, her hair were in perfect shape , she comes towards alice and continuously looks at her)

( while coming towards alice she bumps into a stranger)

Stranger: oh! Am sorry miss

Rachel: are you blind or what, I am a psychologist from top university of Canada, uh! And you ….. (disgusted) shall I show you my qualifications)

ALICE: even after 5 years, she keeps on bothering me, uh!

Rachel: hey! Sister! Am back!

Alice: hi ( smiles)

Rachel: ( disgusted) what is it with that fake smile , you should hug me!

ALICE: HEY stop it already, dad made food for you, we should get going now

RACHEL: FIRST (makes an innocent face) I want to eat something I am out of  money, I spent it all on clothes and cosmetics.

Alice : ( whispers) uh! This spoiled kid.

( sits in a nearby restraunt)

RACHEL: is dad ok?

ALICE: HE  is still the same, he makes choco chip cookies for you and vanilla cookies for me. He still likes to spend money on Halloween dress.

RACHEL: do he still , hide money in his tennis racket

ALICE: ( LAUGHS) do you remember, when we took that money!

RACHEL:and he did’nt even come to know about that , its really so funny!

( goes to hospital)

( Rachel runs inside and alice whispers to her “hey! No one knows here that I am chairman’s daughter”)

RACHEL: then should I tell them?( whispers)

ALICE:  are you out of your mind or what?

( Rachel enters)

( Rachel runs towards the chairman)

RACHEL: dad!

Chairman: ( sings) Rachel goes to well, she goes there and fell, then I said what the hell. ( laughs loudly)

( Rachel and alice gives a blank expression , while other doctors were regretting their life decision to do a job at this hospital)

-AFTER A MINUTE -

( RACHEL RUNS TOWARDS CHAIRMAN, AND HOLDS HIS HAND AND THEN THEY BOTH SINGS TOGETHER “Rachel goes to well,she goes there and fell, then dad says what the hell)(ALICE HIDES HER FACE)

ANNA: (whispers) no doubt, she is his daughter.

( everybody introduces themselves to Rachel)

SAM: HEY! Am dr sam , am a psychiatrist( smiles)

Rachel: yeah, hi!

Dr Rachel: hey my name is Rachel too

Rachel: oh really?

( anna does’nt introduces herself)

Rachel: ( sees towards anna) will you introduce yourself tomorrow? oh we have weekend in between too, let’s talk after that!

ANNA: EXCUSE ME!

RACHEL: UH  whatever! (walks away from everyone)

( the chairman changes the mood, and asks everyone for eating cookies)

( the staff with doctors were eating cookies together at one table, Rachel sees david standing at a corner and eating by himself)

RACHEL: WHO IS HE?

SAM: oh he? He is a stupid introvert . leave him no one talks to him

( Rachel, carries the basket and goes towards david, she offers him the cookies)

DAVID: why are you giving me this?

RACHEL: what?

DAVID: you must be needing something in return right?

Rachel: no! I am just offering you …..

DAVID: I DON’T TAKE ANYTHING FROM STRANGERS, YOU SHOULD GO!

( IN THE MEANTIME THE CHAIRMAN ASKS ALICE TO BRING RACHEL BACK , HER EGO WAS A BIG PROBLEM , SHE COULD CREATE ANY PROBLEMS WITH HER ATTITUDE)

( AT THE SAME TIME RACHEL WAS IRRITATED BY DAVID, SHE MADE A FIST, AND TRIES TO CONTROL HER ANGER)

RACHEL: hey! From which university did you got graduated?

David: hey! Why will I tell to a stranger like you # rule 1 never talk to a stranger #2 never tell personal details #rule3………….

RACHEL: (shouts loudly) do you want to die!!! Do you know from where I did my graduation?

( alice holds her from behind)

Alice: hey calm down now!

DAVID: you will really give a gift to me?

CHAIRMAN:  WAIT! Oh I gave you the wrong gift this one was for alice come on return it now!!!

RACHEL:NO! that that is really wrong!!!

Chairman: takes rachel’s gift from alice, this is new channel perfume collection but its fine if you are ok with that scroll.

RACHEL:NO! dad  are you really kidding right now? You are giving me such an expensive gift, and why this old fashion scroll to her?

Chairman: you should be happy for yourself. Come on return it now

Rachel: fine let me first see it ok?
