“And just like that, he just left like nothing happened,” she said, looked rather irritated, “I mean, he can at least apologize, isn't that right, Thomas?” Thomas looked at her with a bored expression before resuming to his meal.
“Are you seriously ignoring me?” She stomped her feet childishly.
“Are you seriously talking to my horse... again?” chuckled a masculine voice behind her, she jumped and spun around. Just like that, all her annoyance went out the window as her face broke into a grin.
“Andrew!” she exclaimed and threw her self into his embrace, “you're late.” She pouted up at him.
“Well I miss you too, Isabella,” he said, slightly amused, but everyone can see the love that shone in his eyes.
They chatted happily, not realizing a standing figure watching over them behind the shadow.

what was that?
A squeaking noise wakes me from my deep slumber. Shit! I don't remember my bed is this hard... and why the hell my head feels like someone just slammed it with a bat? I open my eyes with slight difficulty, why is my room so dark.
I blink my eyes a couple of times hoping to have a better vision but it's still too hard to see anything. I feel some furry little creature make contact with my fingers making me jerk up, bad move.
“Owe,” I groan while clutching my throbbing head.
What happened to me? I try to look at my surroundings only to see pitch black.
I wince at the throbbing pain in my ankle when I try to stand up. Seriously, what the hell is happening?
I'm starting to get really scared now, am I kidnapped? No... no... no Leah, don't get so worked up over anything, just focus on getting out of this place. I will my self to calm down and starting to walk. Just then, a memory comes flowing back to me and makes me remember.
The girl!
I remember following that strange girl who leads me to an old house in the middle of the woods. I also remember the wooden chest that I found in this spooky basement, and then ...
I fell down the stupid stair.
“Get out!” a voice hisses in my ears, making me jump and spin around, almost falling in the process.
“Oh shit,” I whisper.
If I was scared before, then I'm terrified now. It doesn't help that I can't see anything because of how dark this place is.
I start to make my way to where I think the stair is at. Walking up slowly, minding my ankle that burnt with every little step I take. Silently cursing my self of my damn curiosity that makes me stupidly follows a girl I don't even know.
My hands make a contact with the railing and I quickly pull my self up, walking up as fast and as carefully as I can. My heart is pounding so hard against my ribcage makes me gasping with each breath I take.
I sigh in relief when I finally make it up. Using the wall to guide me with my hands, I start to make my way to the door. Thanking God for the moon lights that creeps into the house through the ripped curtain by the windows which help me see a little better.
Dragging my right foot, I make it out of the house. I feel like crying when I remember that this house is placed right in the middle of a freaking wood.
How could I so stupidly let my self tailing a strange girl who may or may not a witch or better yet, a ghost?
My breath hitches when I hear a moaning voice behind me, I can't really tell what kind of voice it is but it sure not human. I feel a movement somewhere inside the house followed by a groaning voice.
I don't want to look back, my brain screams to me to run but it seems like my body has a mind of its own. Looking back, I see something that I never imagine in my wildest dream. There is a girl, crawling up on the wall behind me, her head is twisted backwards that really inhumanly possible.
The looks she gives me causing my whole body trembling violently. She snarls and starts to crawl closer, her movement is slow and inhuman. Hell ... nothing about her is human. I snap back from my trance and run as fast as I can, ignoring my injured ankle that keeps slowing me down.
I limp my way while glancing my back every five seconds, scared out of my life thinking that the horrendous creature would somehow chase me. But to my relief, she's not.
By now I must look like a mad girl, with all my sobbing and whimper.
After what feels like forever I finally find the street light. I quicken my pace, just want to be home as soon as possible. By the time I reach home, it's almost 3 am and I feel like screaming in relief.
I bang the door like a lunatic, only to stop when I hear rush footsteps from inside. The lock clicks before the door swings open, I come face to face with my worried-looking dad.
See the relief in his tired brown eyes makes everything become more real and I broke down.
“Leah, what happened?” He hugs my trembling body and ushering me in. “where have you been?” he sounds breathless, “gosh you almost give me a heart attack.”
I hear the rustling voice followed by light footstep.
“Who's that?” I hear my mom calls, she gasps as her eyes land on me.
“Oh, honey, what happened to you?” she asks urgently. I just sob in my father's embrace, relief to be safe with my parents.
“Get me the first aid and please call Sheriff J, tell him that Leah is found,” dad says, mom doesn't waste a second and do what she's asked, “it's okay, I got you.” He kisses my head and holds me tighter.
That night I feel like a little girl again, my mother helps me clean up and change, and then I sleep in my father's arm. And finally, I feel safe.
