Aubrey’s pov

The girl and the boy entered the house .. i let them sit on the couch in the living room and rushed to the room to get the first aid kit

I know how treat wound because of andrew.. since he works in a scarpyard he get injured often so i always treat his wounds

I came back to the guests .. the boy seemed so scared and in pain while the girl she seemed worried as well but she was trying her best to act tough to calm her brother down

Aubrey understands the bond between those siblings because he himself has one strong bond with his brother...

i sat near the boy and ruffled his hair, i smiled at him gently I don’t want him to be scared of me

“ don’t worry little boy, you’ll be fine” i said sweetly to him

“ will it hurt?” The boy said with a tiny voice

“ it might sting a little but after i finish the pain will go away completely “ i replied

I put the boy’s leg on the couch and start treating it

“ what happened with you guys?” I asked

“ we always saw this forest and we thought it was beautiful, me and my brother went out to buy some snacks .. on our way we saw the forest and decided to walk in and discover it but we ended up getting lost and as you can see my brother gor injured “ the girl told me while she was holding her brother’s hand to keep him calm

The boy was hissing in pain every now and then.. but he was trying to hold his tears.

“ you should take care and don’t get into random places like that” i said wisely..

andrew always says that to me.. he always warned me from the outside world .. said it’s full of monsters that will hurt me as soon as i get out.. at first i took it literally and thought there was actual monsters but as i grew up and realized that he was talking about humans

“What’s your name?” I tried to talk with the kid to distract him from the pain

“ my name is Ash Nilsone”

“ and am katy Nilsone”

“ my name is Aubrey Huston” i introduced myself

“ nice to meet you Aubrey” the girl said to me with a sweet smile and stretched her hand, i shaked her hand.. “ thank you for helping us” she added

“ no problem”

“ why do you live here? Isn’t it scary living in the middle of nowhere?” Katy had a confused face as she asked

“ i live her with my brother.. after we lost our parents we came here , he said it’s safer here.. and no it isn’t that scary i know he will always keep me safe” i had a wide smile and shiny eyes as i was talking about andrew

We we chatted a lot .. i made them tea because it was pretty cold in the room.. i was waiting for andrew to come back so be can walk them out the forest

But deep down i was nervous that he’ll get mad at me

Soon i heard the door opened and i knew it was andrew.. he entered with a sweet smile but then it faded when he saw that we had guests

“ hello” said andrew with a frown

“ brother.. hello” i rushed and hugged him.. “ this is Katy and her brother Ash.. they got lost in the forest and her brother got injured so they came asking for help” I explained in one breath

“ hmmm hello” andrew gave them a smile and sat on the couch

“ hello sir, we’re sorry to bother you guys but we were scared and found the house” Katy said nervously

“ oh it’s fine we’re glad to help” andrew replied politely

He then walked them out the forest and made sure they got home safe and then he came back.. he again sat on the couch and called on me

“ Aubrey come here for a minute “

I was in the kitchen preparing the dinner.. i left what i was doing and went to the living room

“ yes brother? “

“ dear didn’t i tell you not to open the door for anyone “ andrew’s tone was firm as he asked
