Episode 4: School Classes

U.A Front Entrance 7:25 AM

Y/N was sitting in the limo as Vertigo and Griffin were bringing him to school and before Y/N knew it the limo stopped reaching the school. The door opened and before Y/N left Griffin stopped him, "Midoriya forgot this yesterday, make sure you return it to him." Griffin gave Y/N a burnt notebook and Y/N put it in his bag, "I'll give it to him when I see him."

"HEY!? Y/N!!!" Kirishima shouted from the sidewalk. Y/N heard the shout and he waved goodbye to Griffin and he ran over and started walking with Kirishima and Ashido. Griffin closed the door and he entered the limo and when he put his seatbelt on Vertigo drove the limo to the agency. Y/N entered the classroom and saw Kirishima was trying to talk to Bakugou and Ashido was talking to Asui. Y/N looked near the back seeing Midoriya searching around the classroom and he looked like he was freaking out. "Morning Takahashi," Iida zoomed over quickly and Y/N waved and smiled, "Iida you can call me Y/N. We're not strangers anymore," Iida fixed his glasses, "If that's what you want...Y/N," Y/N called for Midoriya afterwards. Midoriya looked and his eyes lit up seeing Y/N was holding his notebook and he ran over quicker than Iida did.

"Thank you so much Y/N, you don't know how I felt yesterday thinking I lost it or misplaced it." Midoriya bowed up and down thanking him, but before he could say anything Aizawa walked in and the class was surprised since it was still early. "Everyone take your seats and we'll begin," He said in a monotone voice. "Isn't it too early for class?" Mineta questioned but when he said that Mr. Aizawa's eyes lit red and the whole class ran to their seats and sat down. Aizawa applied eyedrops and looked at the class. "Yes I know it's early, that's why I came to speak to the class. Even though you are in the hero course this is still a high school. With that said there are still core classes you need to take like art, English, math, and so on. Different teachers will stop by and teach different subjects it's not the best part but it is important." As Mr. Aizawa was explaining the class was confused seeing he was climbing into his sleeping bag as he spoke.

"You have 10 minutes before English, so you may talk among yourselves," Mr. Aizawa hopped away in his sleeping bag leaving the class. Everyone was silent just watching their teacher hop out in a yellow sleeping bag.

"How can a teacher be that scary but leave a class like that?" Kaminari questioned,

Y/N sat back in his seat knowing today would be a long day but he was excited for two things, Lunch and Heroics training. That's when Present Mic walked in, "Alright students it's English time," He announced excitedly as the class sighed seeing Present Mic was here early. After a dreadful 30 minutes, the class started taking a note down. Present Mic saw most of the class looked half-dead, "COME ON CLASS!!! ENGLISH RULES!!!" Present Mic announced loudly waking up anyone that was tired.

...

It was lunchtime and all the girls sat at a table and they all looked at Uraraka, "Well how was it? We need to hear the tea," Ashido asked. Uraraka put her hands up confused, "Come on how was the limo ride?" Hagakure the invisible girl asked.

"Wait how did you guys know about it?"  Uraraka questioned,

Yaoyorozu took out her phone and showed Uraraka. Uraraka fell in her seat embarrassed, "I forgot I posted about it." The girls laughed seeing the selfie with Uraraka, Iida, Midoriya, and Y/N. Hagakure looked at the table far from theirs's and Y/N was sitting there with Kirishima, Sero, Kaminari, and Bakugou.

"Wait, are Y/N and Bakugou friends?" Uraraka asked,

"Not really, Kirishima probably invited him. They seem like good friends, ribbit"  Asui answered,

"Just wondering girls, do any of you have any crushes yet?" Ashido changed the subject and everyone was quiet,

"Ashido it's only our second day here and you're talking about crushes already," Jirou advised,

"Come on there are some cute boys in our class," Ashido added but before they could say anything the bell rung. The students put their trays away and we're all off to their next classes and Uraraka joined Iida and Midoriya. "Hello Uraraka," Iida greeted, Uraraka greeted Iida and when she looked at Midoriya she was concerned. "Griffin's clones have wings meaning he can excel in both aerial and land combat but he doesn't have many ranged attacks. Having deadly ranged attacks would be Griffin's weakness but Griffin's defence is a whole new game, that's why he's good at protecting people. Vertigo is a ridiculous ranged attacker, being able to send impulses to any part of the body gives him access to shutdown opponents." Iida and Urarka blinked as they could hear Midoriya mutter loudly, "Uh Deku?" Deku jumped and he saw Uraraka was here and he closed his book and laughed awkwardly, "Oh sorry about that. I forget I do that out loud." Deku blushed a little as Uraraka just laughed and Iida smiled as they all made it back to Class 1-A. Deku, Urarka, and Iida all sat down in their seats as their classmates were coming back. In the back Todoroki watched and he laid back waiting for the next class to start.

Todoroki P.O.V

It was already the second day here at U.A and I knew it was gonna be a long three years and my old man isn't making it easy either. If I want to be number one I need to crush everything in my way and that includes Y/N Takahashi. He may have beat me in the tests but that won't matter, the real tests will be starting soon. I'll show my old man I can become number one and crush the competition without using his quirk. All I need to become a hero is my ice side, and I'll show him I don't need his help to become a pro one day.

The Class sat quietly waiting for their next teacher who was running late, "I AM HERE!!!! ENTERING LIKE A HERO!!!" Someone shouted, the class looked at the door seeing it burst open and All Might entered confidently smiling. The class cheered seeing All Might, "Alright, All Might really is a teacher here." Kaminari commented excitedly to get learning from the number one hero, "This year is gonna be awesome," Kirishima cheered. Midoriya's eyes sparkled seeing All might was wearing his red silver age costume. All Might stood at the podium in a hero stance smiling, "Welcome to the most important class at U.A, this class is the key to lead you all to become a pro hero. This class will teach you about how the pros do things and how you will act out there in the power of all good. To start off the day we will have battle training." All might was flexing as he explained and Bakugou was fired up, "Alright we get to fight."

"Fight training already?" Deku questioned,

"The first step to being a hero is looking good," All Might pointed to the wall and these briefcases popped out of the wall with numbers from 1 to 21.  "These are your costumes based on the forms you sighed and ideas you summited before coming here." All Might announced as the class cheered, "Now get changed and meet me at Training Beta." All Might sprinted away as the class went to grab their assigned number.

Several Minutes Later...

All Might stood outside the gate waiting for his class and down the corridor, he could see silhouettes down the hall. All Might saw the students walk out slowly in their costumes, "They say clothes make the pros look like pros and you are the living proof. Take this now my students, as of this moment you are official heroes in training." Y/N walked out looking around seeing everyone had cool outfits. Y/N was standing near the front and Kirishima walked over and he noticed Y/N's costume design. Y/N had black pants and a black trenchcoat but there were lava lines and cracks where the arms and legs were. His gloves and boots were crimson red and he wore no helmet and shortly Iida, Uraraka, and Midoriya joined them. As Y/N walked over he saw Midoriya flustered looking at Uraraka's outfit. As Y/N walked over he saw a short grape-looking person trying to look up a girl's skirt and Y/N put his foot down. The ground cracked reaching the student and the grape jumped back as the ground was hot and he landed in front of Y/N. "What are you doing?" Y/N questioned coldly while Mineta looked scared seeing how intimidating Y/N was. Kirishima put his arm around Y/N, "Don't let Mineta get to you," Kirishima commented as they saw All Might was ready.

"Now that your all ready let's get to combat training," All Might started but someone called for him and Iida raised his hand. Midoriya noticed it was Iida and thought he looked cool in his hero costume, "Sir this is the same Urban city used in the entrance exams, does that mean we'll be conducting Urban battles again?" All Might held two fingers up, "Not quite, I'm going to move all of you two steps ahead. Most of the battles you see on the news take place outside but statistically speaking the most devasting villains often fight indoors. Think about it, backroom deals, home invasions, underground bases. The more cunning and intelligent villains stay hidden in the shadows so with that said I will split you up into two teams. One will be the heroes while the other side will be villains and we'll have two on two battles."

"Isn't that a little advance?" Asui asked,

"The best training you get is on the battlefield but remember you will not be fighting robots you will be fighting real people," All Might clenched his fist in excitement.

"Sir, will you be deciding who wins?" Yaoyorozu asked,

"How much can we hurt the enemy team?" Bakugou questioned,

"Do we have to worry about the losers getting expelled like earlier?" Uraraka asked,

"Will you be splitting us up by chance or based on our quirks?" Iida questioned,

"Does my cape have enough sparkle mon ami?" Aoyama asked,

"What happens if a team takes it too far?" Y/N questioned,

All Might sighed looking at his class, "I wasn't done talking, listen up," All Might took out a script and the class watched and listened. "The scenario is this....the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon in their hideout and the heroes need to foil their plans. To do that they have to either catch the villains or recover the weapon. Likewise, with the villains, they win if they can protect their payload or capture the heroes. Since time is limited I will choose teams by taking your name out of this box."

"Shouldn't we get to choose?" Iida questioned,

"Well, if you think about it this is the best way since pros have to team up with random heroes all the time. This is perfect for the training exercise because we won't know who were with," Midoriya explained. "Yes you are right, this helps simulate a real-life scenario," Iida bowed apologizing for his rudeness and All might smiled and turned around, "No Sweat, now let's see the teams" All Might cheered. The class watched as All Might started to draw names from a box.

Team A is Uraraka and Midoriya

Team B is Shoji and Todoroki

Team C is Sero and Yaoyorozu

Team D is Bakugou and Iida

Team E is Ashido and Aoyama

Team F is Koda and Sato

Team G is Kaminari and Jirou

Team H is Tokoyami and Asui

Team I is Ojiro and Hagakure

Team J is Y/N and Kirishima

All Might looked at the class seeing Mineta was the only one who wasn't on a team, "Mineta you will not be taking part. Principal Nezu wants to speak to you in his office about your recent behaviour." The class looked at Mineta and before he could say a word a scarf grabbed him by the face lifting him up in the air. The class saw it was Mr. Aizawa, "Don't talk, I'm already wasting time coming here to take you." Mr. Aizawa dragged Mineta away to the Principal's Office and All Might smiled at the class. Midoriya looked away blushing as Uraraka looked pumped, "What are the chances, we're a team." Midoriya blushed thinking about how he had to make a good impression and Kirishima had his hand out to Y/N. Y/N smirked and grabbed it and they both did a handshake ready to be a team. All Might had two boxes labelled as Villian and Hero and he reached in to select what team would fight each other. "The first teams to go inside will be....THESE GUYS!!!!" All Might shouted and the class saw team A were the heroes and team D were going to be the villains. The others followed All Might to a surveillance room and Y/N looked back seeing Midoriya and Bakugou looking at each other. "This should be interesting," Y/N thought as he followed Kirishima. After leading the class All Might was at the building with teams A and D. "The villains will go in first and you will have 5 minutes before the heroes are let loose and the battle begins," All Might opened the door as they nodded in agreement, "Young Iida, Young Bakugou. The key to being successful in this challenge is to embody true villainy, think from the perspective of an evildoer. If things go too far I will step in and stop the match immediately" All Might explained.

Y/N P.O.V

U.A so far is really intense, it's only the second day and we're doing an indoor battle exercise where we fight each other. It's dangerous but All Might said he'll stop the fight if he thinks things go too far.  I find it odd and convenient how Midoriya and BakugoU are up against each other but they have history. Bakugou seems like he wants to destroy him though, there's a difference between rivalry and hatred.  Wait, what if I turn like that if I continue to carry this hatred for Todoroki.

Y/N looked back seeing Todoroki leaning in the back and Y/N clenched his fist, "No, this is different. I will prove it and show he's just an obstacle in my way for my future, if I want a clear future Todoroki must be defeated," Y/N thought. Todoroki looked up seeing Y/N was looking and they glanced at each other, "All I see is my old man, another hero with a fire-based quirk but I'll show Takahashi and my old men I don't need fire to burn them. If Takahashi wants to play with fire that's fine because all I need is ice, I will never use my old man's quirk," Todoroki thought. The girls were together and they could see the staredown between Y/N and Todoroki, "Just like yesterday," Yaoyorozu commented.

"Why do they keep doing that?" Ashido asked,

"No clue but it's not rockin," Jirou mentioned,

"Don't worry ladies I think it's just some rivalry, you know like Midoriya and Bakugou," Hagakure explained. The ladies didn't know what to say but they saw All Might was back and the class gathered around the screens. All Might held the mic, "ALRIGHT!!! TEAM A!!! TEAM D!!! THE BATTLE STARTS...NOW!!!!" All Might shouted as a bell rang. "Pay attention kids and think about what you and your partner are going to do." All Might told the class but All Might was thinking, "Young Midoriya, during class you're just like my other students. Meaning I will mark you just like anyone else, without playing favourites." Y/N crossed his arms seeing Midoriya and Uraraka were walking. When Midoriya and Uraraka turned the corner the class saw Bakugou jump out and cause an explosion. Some people gasped as the smoke cleared and they saw half of Midoriya's mask was blown off.

"He almost got the jump on them, luckily Midoriya pushed them out of the way," Y/N commented. Kirishima punched his hand, "Sneak attack Bakugou? What kind of a man pulls cheap crap like that?" Kirishima questioned. All Might smirked, "It was a strategic move meaning he's playing the role of villain well." Ashido smiled, "It was a nice try but Midoriya dodged," Kaminari and Sero looked surprised. "Look, Bakugou's making another move," They saw Bakugou charge in running for Deku. Y/N was interested, "Look Kirishima, Midoriya isn't moving," Kirishima saw Midoriya looked determined as Bakugou went in for a punch. Midoriya caught it and Bakugou looked surprised and Kirishima's eyes widened and the class gasped as they saw Midoriya flip Bakugou and slam him to the ground hard. "He predicted Bakugo's move before he even made it," Yaoyorozu called out and Y/N smirked seeing Midoriya go in a battle stance. "Maybe I underestimated Midoriya after all," All Might look proud as the class watched eagerly to see where the fight was going to go next.

Meanwhile in an underground Parking Garage...

There was police tape at the entrance and one of the officers let three heroes in and Griffin looked at Astra and Vertigo. "Why were we called here? Isn't this just a police case?" Vertigo sighed, "According to the call they need our knowledge here." Astra led the way as they saw a body bag and two officers. "Magmar sent us, what's the situation?" Astra asked, the officers bent down to the body bag. "You'll have to see for yourself," the three heroes watched as they unzipped the bag and they saw a lifeless body and the eyes were white and you could see the red veins but no pupils. The three heroes paused seeing the dead person.

"Who did this?" Astra asked,

"No clue, we wanted to know if you could figure that out for us. If not we were going to send it to autopsy." The officer explained and Vertigo went closer and his eyes widened in fear, "G-Griffin, A-Astra, L-Look at this," Vertigo stuttered. They looked at the guy's shoulder and his veins were black. Astra unzipped the bag more and they saw the black veins spread everywhere, "What kind of quirk does this?" Astra questioned making it sound like they were unsure. Griffin closed the bag and looked at the officers, "Once you get autopsy results send the results here," Griffin handed them a number and email to their agency. The cops nodded and the three heroes got up and walked away and Astra saw some more cops around them, "So a quirk that can cause death at the touch?" Astra questioned. Griffin stopped to think and he shook his head in disbelief, "That can't be possible...Why now? We need to tell Magmar about this but we can't reveal too much to the police yet...for now we pretend we don't know what caused this."

"I don't think that's it," Vertigo commented,

"It's the only thing we got Vertigo, no matter what the situation is we need to tell Magmar and see what our next move is," Griffin added as they were headed out but Vertigo went ahead and it was just Griffin and Astra. "He seems on edge," Astra mentioned and Griffin sighed, "I agree, I don't know what it is."

"Well anyway, how's Y/N?" Astra asked changing the subject,

"He's good, I think he's fitting well at U.A,"

"What does Magmar think?" Astra questioned,

"Honestly not sure, he hasn't said congratulations or well done. Magmar keeps talking about improvement and beating the others."

"No surprise there, Magmar is very ambitious he wants his kid to succeed. Any sane parent would want the same thing." Astra explained but Griffin looked down, "I understand that Astra but Magmar has never said it once. That kid keeps fighting but Magmar's expectations are so-"

"High" Astra interrupted,

"Well, yeah..." Griffin was surprised but he noticed Astra run and when he saw where she was going her eyes widened and when he looked up he saw a woman on top of the building. Griffin and Astra caught up to Vertigo seeing a woman was about to jump, the police had a megaphone trying to talk her down. Griffin sprung his wings ready to take flight and the police shouted in fear as the woman jumped. Vertigo and Astra watched nervously as Griffin flew past them and he soared up and caught the woman. "Let me die!" The woman cried in fear and Griffin looked at her seeing her eyes were white.

Griffin landed and when Vertigo and Astra ran over and they saw the woman's eyes were white just like the guy in the parking garage. Paramedics with stretchers rolled in and Griffin put her down and she screamed, "DON'T KILL ME!!!! PLEASE!!!" She shouted. The three heroes watch the paramedics do their best but her body started to have a seizure. The paramedics yelled at each other trying to save her but Vertigo saw her veins. When Astra and Griffin noticed her veins turned black and they heard her spine crack and she was dead. The paramedics, cops, Astra, Vertigo, and Griffin's eyes widened in fear, witnessing what just happened.

"Get an autopsy of that too and send it to Magmar's agency immediately," Astra ordered, the cops nodded. Griffin and Vertigo looked around seeing no civilians were around, "Good thing only the cops and us are here if the news found out about this. We were going to have a big problem on our hands," Vertigo commented. "I agree, we need to tell Magmar about this and find out who's responsible. A quirk like this one is too dangerous for someone to have just walking around the streets." Griffin created one more clone of himself and it picked up Vertigo and started flying. Griffin held Astra and he flew away following his clone, they were on the way to the agency to inform Magmar what has happened. They were in the air so they could talk freely now, "We all know who did this right?" Astra asked.

"Yes, we do," Vertigo replied,

"Not much people know about it. At the Agency only the three of us and Magmar know," Griffin stated,

"What do we do when we tell Magmar?" Astra asked,

"Most Likely we'll have to tell the whole Agency so Magmar will host a meeting. If that happens we'll have to pretend we don't know a thing, that's what Magmar would want," Griffin advised.

"We'll pretend we don't know and then we can talk to Magmar in private about the situation," Vertigo added, the three heroes were in agreement and Griffin flew them back to the Agency as quickly as he could.
