Chapter 3: Myriad Worlds System

Zian rubbed his chin and answered Nika's question: "Hmm… the progress is slow, but progress is still progress."

Nika looked at Zian while pouting and murmured: "You are saying the same thing for years already."

Zian stroked her hair and said: "Don't be upset Nika. Evidence of the long lost Ancient Martial Arts are very scarce, and even if you found one, it isn't necessarily true. It could be true or a hoax."

"Okay." Nika said dejectedly.

Zian then looked closer at Nika: "Why are you even curious? Don't tell me you are a spy of the Empire?" Zian teased at Nika and walked away.

"Meeh!" Nika shouted.

After all the ruckus, Zian arrived at his Archaeological Classroom. Students are closely inspecting fossils, artifacts, and articles from old ages, looking for clues that might help solve some problems about the lost past.

Zian walked inside the classroom and looked at a boy examining something very closely.

The boy noticed Zian's arrival and called out while waving at him to come: "Hey Zian! Here! I found something!"

Zian looked surprisingly at the boy and ran towards him.

"What did you find out?" Zian yelled.

The boy then pointed at the letters at the article he is inspecting and said with an excited tone: "Here in the fifth line, it is said here that, quote on quote, 'The arts of battle that is refined through thousands of years of practice cannot be created in this world for the energy of our world are sparse and cannot be conveniently consumed just for creating a technique that isn't even assured to be successful. Only the high beings can muster a powerful force that can destroy heaven and earth and will be able to do the impossible."

The boy then looked at Zian and said: "If that is the case and ancient humans can't create such a technique, but they know it exists, then that only means the thing called 'higher being' is from a world where the energy is sufficient to waste energy for creating techniques! That means other worlds where life exists is real! And there is also a possibility that they are more powerful than us! Hah! I discovered something breathtaking!"

Zian laughed: "Of course there are other worlds where life exists, Dylan. We are ignorant if we consider ourselves to be the only life throughout all of the universe."

The boy named Dylan said: "Oh right."

Zian laughed again and looked at the clean article and held the article carefully.

"What the hell?" Zian said.

[Myriad Worlds System has been acquired.] A male voice said.

"Why?" Dylan asked: "Something wrong?"

"Oh. Nothing." Zian answered.

"User data? What's that? What's this system about?" Zian asked.

"W-what?" Zian was dumbfounded. Integrating a world to myriad things outside of their imagination is a very crazy thing. Especially today where once the integration is complete, governments and leading powers might collapse.

'You're the stupid one!' Zian thought.

While Zian and the System are talking, A middle-aged man wearing glasses walks towards the Archaeological Classroom. 

"Good morning Arch Class!"

Arch Class is what the teachers and students call the Archaeological Classroom to shorten the long name. 

"Hi Sir Mono!"

"Hello Professor Mono!"

"Good morning Sir!"

The students responded with different kinds of greetings to Professor Mono.

Professor Mono or Vimono Monoz is the Arch Class' assigned teacher. He specializes with Archaeological findings and Ruins Excavation. He is a part of Archos Organization, an organization that is renowned throughout Aearth due to their professional handling of Historical Ruins and Artifacts.

"Hello everyone. I know you have no time listening to some lectures right now so I sent the lecture files to your Stargate account. I visited here to tell you this. Next week we will embark on a journey to a ruin beneath the sea. Research more!" Professor Mono smiled.

Suddenly, Zian raised his hand up and said: "Professor Mono, I have an issue. I'm afraid I cannot go with the Arch Class to the ruins."
