Struck by Thunder!

"O my god! It has been a week already since i started my job. It’s been hectic. I can't believe. The workload is so much! I thought i will do something nice on my own. And all they give me loads of pages to review.

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring for me."

The next day in the office...

Yura: Hey, Lisa. good morning! You look pretty as always. Why does it seem you are less excited than your first day? Ha ha.

Dobrick: That's what Techno does to everybody.  Lol.

Lisa:  Dobrick, I'm also an enginner.You know that right?

Dobrick: Yeah, so?

Lisa: Nothing.

Yura: But dear, you are the research operator in our team. And you are doing great already. If this goes on our team we will surely get best team award in the annual programme of Techno group.

Lisa: There is annual programme? 

Shane: Yeah, Lisa. We get our own awards and also our prize money and not to mention if you get lucky a promotion!

Yura: Our team was lacking a dedicated Researcher like you. This time nobody will stop us from winning the best team of the year! Fighting! 

A women's voice approaches..

" If you get lucky to win against the best teams of this floor and all other teams of upper divisions! And i don’t think you guys have got it to win it! " 

Lisa  turns...

" Hello, Lisa Yoon. I'm Meduha ling. Call me Ms. Meduha. I am an Executive from the 19th division."

Everyone gets quiet. Suddenly everyone is very attentive at their works...

"You! Short guy!  I see  piles of files in your desk. Oh! dear, Ms. Yura. Your dream of winning the best team award is crushed under all those piles of files."

Meduha smirks..

"You, young lady. What's your name again?"

Lisa: Lisa Yoon.

" Yes, i got the news of a new one coming in our group after a long time. I wanted to see who came in that seat after two years. That seat has been vacant for over two years.Do well. okay? You seem smart. I am here to inspect this division. You are lucky because you directly got your post in the 10th floor. I see there is more to you than all the qualification you fed the board in the interview. We will meet soon. "

"Hey, short guy! You seem very slow for a guy you know?"

Ms. Meduha Ling leaves.

Shane: That cold hearted women! It’s so hot in here!

Yura: She and her words like blades! This is one of the executives, Lisa.  And the most mean one! She hates me i guess. Everytime she comes to inspect, she talks to me like that and i look always miserable like this! Everytime!! Aaahhh!

Lisa: She looks very beautiful though.

Dobrick: She is beautiful only from the outside. Stay out of her way if you want to survive.

Lisa: Why do you talk like i will do anything like that? I'm only here to do my job.

Yura: Don't care what he says. He talks like that to everyone of us. Not only to that Ms. Puma. Ha ha ha!

Dobrick: Shut up!

Shane: I dont know why that women is here to inspect already. She visited here not so long ago. She never breaks her routine. She is a bit early this time. This seems already scary to me. I feel like i am getting more workloads in the coming days.

Yura:  Stop! Finish what you have already in your desk.If i don’t win the best team award this time it will be only because of you!!! 

Dobrick: Get back to work.

Lisa proceeds working in the computer..

After an hour..

A man walks in..

" Ms. Lisa Yoon?"

Lisa: yes?

"You’ve been called by the Boss."

Lisa: Mr. David?

Dobrick: Who else?

" Ms. Lisa Yoon you have been called by the boss urgently."

The man leaves.

Yura: i heard Urgently!

Lisa runs to the Boss's section.

Lisa knocks the door.

David:Come in. Lisa! Listen, you have got to do something for me. No one else can do this. You have to go to the executive's floor. You have to give a small presentation on behalf of me.  It is very small. It will take you only 15 minutes. You can read the files here and i will give you all the directions. There's not much time.

Lisa: But Mr. David if you know all of these and you are here why can't you do it yourself? I heard there is strict rules about not to go to the upper divisions without permission. 

David : Lisa! You don’t understand.  I can't go. If i could, then why will i call you?

Lisa: But sir, it has only been a week since i came to this office. I am sure there must be some one else in the division who can do it better than me.

David: You think i called you without checking that?  I know each and every employees in this division.  I know who can do it and who can't! The executives won’t take anyone wasting their time infront of them.

Lisa: But Mr. David, I don’t understand why you are not going and...

David: Enough Lisa. That's an order.I'm your boss. If i say, you go; then you go.

Lisa: okay. What do i have to present?

David: let me give you all the directions..

After 10 minutes..

David: Okay, Lisa.  Go straight to the 19 th floor. And give these two files to the man in the first section then ask him where is the presentation room. He will take you. Keep the third file with you. It has all the informations you need for the presentation. Good luck Lisa. It’s really important. 

Lisa: Okay.  Mr. David. I will do my best.

Lisa leaves..

Lisa enters the elevator and presses the button 19.

Lisa: oh my god! I am going up. Straight to the 19th division. What has god struck me with that i go present an important project like this to the Head executives?  Even on behalf of the Divisional Boss! God, you struck me with thunder out of the blue! Help me get through it too then. I know you’ve always got my back!

Elevator sound...

The elevator opens up..

Lisa: It's the executive and Head executives Division. Wow! This floor looks so cool and so different!  Look at those men standing in the corners! They are with guns! The security in here carry gun in the broad day light? What do these people do in here? It looks so big! And there are so less people in here! Too much space wasted for only few people! 

I shouls ask that man over there where is section one. Or i will waste all my time looking for it.

Ah,  hello, excuse me.Can you please tell me where is section 1?  I can't find it.

The man looks at Lisa with fierce eyes.

Lisa murmurs, "looks like I've pissed that guy off by asking about section 1."

" Go straight.  To the Right.  Section 1. "

Lisa : Thanks! I would've been lost here if you wouldn’t help me. Thanks again!

"But why are you here? There are some rules....."

Lisa already walked ahead fast to the section 1.

Lisa: Hello. I am from 10th floor.  On behalf of Mr. David kang, the Divisional Boss of 10 th floor. Due to some reasons he can't make it to the presentation himself. I am here on behalf of him for the project presentation and discussion. 

A man comes close...

" I know everything.  You must be Lisa Yoon. I'm one of the executive's here. I'm Peter lee.

I'll take you to the presentation hall. It's a bit big. Don't be nervous since it’s a bit early for you to come here present a project infront of them. They are a bit moody and asks a lot of questions. " 

Lisa: Hello Sir! I..I didn’t know you're one of the executive's here. Sorry, sir. Thank you for your guidance. 

Peter: It's okay. Don't worry about me. Worry about others.Let's go. 

Lisa and Mr. Peter enters a big room. It looks more like a hall.

Lisa: i get it why it was called a hall. That's such a big and long round table. How many executives are there for the table to be so big?

That's such a big screen and big high platform. I have to go present there? 

Lisa gulps..

Lisa: oh! Shoot.

Lisa goes to the corner of the presentation table and wears the mike.

Mr. Peter: Lisa,  It's time. The executive board are coming! Get ready! Good luck!

A few seconds later...

A group of men and women enters the room. Everyone looks much experienced,  fierce, amd tough!

Everyone goes sit in their designated chairs. The first man from the right side of table grabs the mike. Then he says,

"Where is David?"

Mr. Peter:  He couldn’t make it here today.

"What's the  issue?  Then why have you wasted our time? Why are we here? We have so many things to do! Who is going to compensate for the time that has been wasted here!?"

Another  man speaks up..

"It's the lack of responsibility!  A Divisional boss he calls himself? I wonder how long he can sit in that chair!"

Mr. Peter: Gentlemen, there is someone who has been sent here instead of Mr. David Kang.  Mr. David Kang's mother met with an accident.  He is not mentally in the right mind now. We had to excuse him for that. 

The first man asks, " Some one else came to present here? Who? Is there any new rule in the Techno group that I'm not aware of? When is a replacement for one was a rule in this company? Who has come here?"

Mr peter points at Lisa..

Everyone looks at Lisa at once..

"This girl? Who is she? What can she do?"

Lisa gasps...
