Chapter 5 (Perspective: Kento)

I woke up in a strange place. The walls were white and had roses hanging down. There was a beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling. I looked around and saw that I was in a bed, it was very comfortable.. and warm.

"Are you alright?" I turned my head to see someone sitting at the side of the bed. It looked like the stranger from before.

"W-who are y-you? Where a-am I?"

He placed his hand over my forehead and smiled.

"You are in my home. I brought you here because you were in the park, nearly frozen. I didn't want you to die. You fell asleep in my arms and had a high fever, I thought you wouldn't make it.." He looked almost as if he was going to cry.

"Well.. thank you. But I must be on my way."

I quickly got up and tried to run.

I felt his hand around my wrist.

"Hey! L-let go!"

"Stay."

He left the room and returned with blankets. He wrapped them around me and smiled.

"You see, I can't let someone freeze to death, it's my job to take care of the citizens of Nabu and you, if you leave, you will surely get sick."

I stood up and looked away.

"I can take care of myself. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way."

I left the building before he could say anything else. The air was still cold, but I just had to deal with it. I can't afford to get distracted. But, who was he.. and why was he so kind to me without knowing who I was.. I am just a stranger to him and yet-

"Where do you think your going?"

Surprised, I turned around and saw him standing by the door way. I felt something cold on my nose. It was a snowflake? I looked around but I soon couldn't see anything, not even my own hand in front of my face. I felt someone's arms around me and I nearly screamed.

"H-hey! Let g-go!"

I started shivering again.

The stranger picked me up and carried me back inside the building.

"I told you, you will get sick. Its way to cold.. stay here let me take care of you.."

He wrapped me in a blanket.

"Fine.."

Just then, an alarm sounded!? What did that idiot do now! A lady ran into the room and spoke.

"Someone tried to break into the lab!"

The stranger kissed my forehead. He got up and walked out the room.

I started to speak.

"Where did he go? Will he be back??"

"You must not worry about that. For now you must stay here and rest.. Here, I will make you some soup."

Before leaving the room, she handed me another blanket. I looked out of the window and waited. She returned nearly five minutes later and handed me a bowl of soup.

"Here, eat this."

She must have noticed my worried expression. "The young master will be back soon, so don't worry."
