Edward's POV

This is the first time a case slipped away from my hands. That killer is the first person who challenge my limits. This case is becoming my obsession now.

Author's POV

The reason Edward was so obsessed with this case is because he shares the same past.

How? Then let's go 13 years ago.

When Edward was just 15 years old, his father had a huge loss in business.

He got bankrupt and became unemployed. Investors of his company started to chase him and his relation with Edward's mother started to became tensed.

They became homeless and Edward's mother started to work part times.

But his father got into habit of drinking and gambling. He started to snatch Edward's mother money and waste all it in gambling and drinking alcohol. He beats her when she refuse to give money.

Soon after this, His mother file divorce against his Father.

They divorced when he was 16 year old.

Edward's POV

The things happened 13 years ago is again hitting me, all the things flashing through my mind.

In the evening

When I was driving home, The murdered again called me.

LOOKS LIKE THE CASE SLIPPED AWAY FROM YOUR HANDS, MR. EDWARD! he said teasing me.

You! Whoever you are! Even if you are in hell, I will find you and kill you with my own hands! I shouted.

YOU ARE TAKING IT PERSONALLY, RIGHT? OR I THINK YOU ARE! A PERSON WITH A SAD PAST, YOU SHOULD THANK ME FOR DOING THE THINGS YOU COPS SHOULD DO. he said.

No, you are the only one who think that you are right? For me you are just a psychopath. I said.

ARE YOU ANGRY ON ME BECAUSE I WAS NOT THERE WHEN YOUR FATHER WAS ASSAULTING YOU? He said while laughing.

Shut up! I shouted on him.

DON'T BE RIDICULOUS COP, YOU ALSO WANT YOUR FATHER TO DIE AND YOU ALSO KNOW THAT WHAT I AM DOING IS RIGHT! He said seriously.

Do you think you can escape from us! I asked him.

THEN LET ME TELL YOU COP! THE SPECIAL TEAM APPOINTED FOR ME IS OF NO USE, THE LEADER OF THE TEAM IS GOING TO FRAME SOME OTHER PERSON AND WILL TAKE ALL THE CREDIT! He warned me.

What? I asked.

Hello....hello.......ya.......! I keep shouted but he hung up already.

How? Just how the hell he knows everything? He knows about my past, present, about the investigation, and about Mark.

I was too disturbed by his words, I lost in my childhood memories but there's nothing good about it.

I parked my car and sat at a chair in a garden.

I don't know why but thinking about my father made me weak, every moment I think about him, tears started to dropping from my eyes.

I tried to control it but it's useless.

I was looking at my feet so that no one can see my tears but a hands with a handkerchief cames in front of my eyes.
