Chapter 3

Stella's POV

I am again late for my work. I quickly got ready and ran towards bus stop But life never goes the same way. I never thought my life will be so turbulent next.

I saw a muscular man running towards me, there were cops chasing him. He came to me, Grab my hand and pulled me around my neck.

He took out his knife and pin it against my neck. His grip was very strong and I was struggling for freedom.

The policemen stopped and orders him to surrender. I can sense from the situation that the person behind me is a criminal.

I will kill her if you follow me anymore That criminal shouts at police.

The policemen were stopping him but he was continuously increasing his strength which made his knife to cut my neck a little. I thought it is my end.

Then one cop came forward and suddenly shoots him in hand, It was all in a flash.

He throws me at that cop and ran away. I was in that cop arms and other policemen started to chase him. That cop looks like their chief.

Seeing me trembling, He said to me

Don't worry. Everything is fine now.

His words provide me a strange comfort.

His eyes were a little familiar. I tried to figure out but damn it I got pass out.

Edward's POV

When I was about to leave for my work, Leth called me

Hey bro, come fast we've found the place where MAX BROWN is.

Send me the address, I am coming there right now. I rushed there.

We get there with full preparation, almost kill his all guards but he somehow manage to ran from there. After chasing him too much, from a far, I found him threatening other policemen with a girl. I took out my gun and slowly started to get there. From a little distance, I saw a small girl

She seems familiar I said to myself.

When he cut her neck a little, I quickly got there and shoots him in hand. He throws that girl on me, I catched her and seeing her trembling I said to her that everything is fine now.

She was looking straight in my eyes and I got mesmerized by her eyes for some time but she passed out.

I took her to hospital, when she woke up, I apologise for the earlier incident. She only replied Thanks for saving me. Can you inform my company about this incident, I don't want to get scolded today as well.

I have already informed them I replied.

I leaves from there only to found that we lost Max Brown. Damn it.

Stella's POV

I opened my eyes in hospital. That cop who saved me come forward and apologised to me for the incident. I thank him and tell him to inform to my company because I don't want to scolded today as well.

Then that cop left and told an other cop to drop me to my home.

Author's POV

IN THE EVENING

Max was at his secret place hiding from police when he hears someone calling him
