Chapter 2

Edward's POV

I woke up at 5 AM and leaves for my exercise. At 6 AM Leth called me. Leth is my best friend and a senior policemen but below me.

The call was about a murder. When I get at crime scene I was shocked. I had never seen such a brutal case before.

The dead body was sent for autopsy and I stayed at crime scene for further investigation.

There was blood all over. Many other policemen were terrified. The cruelty in this murder is exceptionally odious. After investigating there for 3 hours I got a call from Ammy It was about Autopsy report.

I rushed there. When I get there, Ammy told me the murder details. The man named Charlie was killed very brutally.

The murderer must have attacked him suddenly which made unable to struggle but he was conscious enough to feel pain besides there were a large amount of alcohol in his body.

I was lost in my own thoughts when I realise Ammy was continuously calling me. Ammy is the senior in the forensic department and my good friend.

Looks like the murderer is very strong person. Did you find any evidence at crime scene? She asked me.

The killer is definitely a intelligent person, he didn't leave any evidence behind and the CCTV recordings of last night is also damaged. I answer her with a bit of disappointed.

Leave it. Let's go on a date to refresh our mind. She said to me.

She likes me but I feel sorry for her because I only see her as a friend.

I am sorry Ammy but you know I don't have feelings for you. I will be great if we only stays as good friend. I answer her with some hesitation.

She smiled and said Don't worry I will wait for you.

Before I could say anything Leth intrupted us

Hey bro! What are you doing? The victim's family is here.

I nodded and left with him.

I go to meet his family and after asking some questions to her We found that Charlie waters was a alcoholic and an unemployed person and he often snatches his wife's money. He was a gambler and was in a huge debt.

There were lot of people who are suspect.

I was doing my work when my mom called me

Edward ... you are alredy 28 when are you going to marry? She shouted straightly.

As expected she tell me to get married, she likes Ammy but I told my mom not to mix professional life with private life.

Mom I am in police station right now I will call you later. I say in hurry and hung up the call.

AT 10:52 PM

Hey bro! it is already very late when are you leaving? Leth come to me and said.

I look at my watch and realise it is actually very late. I packed my things and get ready to leave. I reached home at 11:36 PM, I took a shower, eat a light meal and get on my bed thinking about today's case.
