Chapter 3 - Strange noises

It was 7.00 am and Nomi just woke up, when she woke up the puppy was sleeping next to her. She got out of bed happily and open the window.

The beautiful scenery and the morning sun just woke her up.

Nomi" Woah... Today is going to be a wonderful day! Danie is still asleep somehow...

She goes to Danie and goes to wake her up"

Nomi" Wake up! You slept earlier than me why you still sleeping!?

Danie sleepy" Hmm! Well, I'm tired...

Nomi" Hmph! No breakfast for you then.

Danie sleepy" I don't care! You're gonna pay for lunch later...

Nomi" Hm you're right about that, there's a dog here!

Danie wakes up" What where?!

Nomi surprised" Wow you woke up fast! And the puppy is on my bed.

"Danie immediately gets up and goes to the bed"

Danie" Awww! It's so lovely I love dogs, especially with white fur he's perfect! Where did he come from?

Nomi" Well, I woke up at 2.00 am and I heard some noises coming from the window so I opened it and put him on the bed.

Danie" I wished he slept with me!

Nomi" Well I don't think he can see you since you're a spirit. But do you ever wonder why dogs bark for no reason? Maybe there seeing spirits.

Danie' Well I don't know about that. But it is possible.

The dog wakes up and saw the two girls and started growling"

Danie" I think he can see me! "In a high pitch voice" Hello there pup!

Nomi" Wait a minute! How will we tell Mr. Holmes that we brought a dog inside?

Danie" Uhh... I think it will be a 50/50 chance that his response is good or bad. But if he's allergic it's gonna go bad.

Nomi sighs" Well. We should just clean the beds first at least. But he's pretty chill most of the time so I think it'll be alright.

Danie puts the dog down, then they started cleaning the bed and putting the futon away. Then they looked at each other then nodded, Nomi then gets the dog and holds him in her hands. Both were anxiously going up the stairs. Mr. Holmes was cooking so he wasn't facing the girl's direction.

Holmes" Morning!

Nomi" M-morning! Mr. Holmes.

Danie" Morning!

Holmes" Did you guys get a goodnight's sleep?

Danie" Yes! It was very comfortable.

Holmes" That's good then. I didn't have enough sleep, to be honest, someone was making noises.

Nomi" Oh...? Really.

Holmes" Did you heard any odd noises last night?

Nomi" Not at all...

Holmes" Hmm okay.

Both sighs of relief.  As they thought they were doing an incredible job of hiding the dog, the dog started barking.

Nomi (shoot! Curse you dog!)

Holmes then turns around from the barking.

Holmes" W-why do you have a puppy in your hands?, He said surprisingly

Nomi" Umm... Well,

Holmes then approaches them grabs the dog.

Danie" shocked" What~?

Holmes" I missed you Dragon, thank mist don't leave me again!

Nomi shockingly" What's happening here...?

Holmes" Oh! This is my dog Dragon, I took him on a walk a day ago but his collar snapped and he ran away. I tried looking for him but couldn't find him.

Nomi (Phew! Thank you, lord mist that was his dog!)

Holmes" Where did you find him?

Nomi" Well I woke at 2.00 am and heard some noises coming from the window, so I opened it and saw the dog and brought him inside.

Holmes" But I thought you didn't hear noises?

Nomi" I'm sorry Mr. Holmes! "Bows" I won't do it again.

Holmes" No. It's ok I mean you found my Dragon "kisses dragon's forehead"

Danie" Why did you name your dog Dragon Mr. Holmes?

Holmes" Oh! Because he can spit out fire like a dragon.

Both" What?! they said shockingly.

Nomi" Wow! That's one great dog you got.

Danie" So that's where the name came from.

Holmes" And he's not dangerous he only does that outside. Or if I tell him to.

Nomi" Phew! Wells that's good

Holmes" Well you two should sit down now for breakfast.

Danie" Hmm. What's it gonna be this time?

They both sit down at the table, while Holmes gets their delicious breakfast.

Holmes" Here you go! We're having rice porridge I had to rush, but I'll make it up later.

Nomi" Hmm. Another mystery to solve! "Nomi starts eating"

Danie" I'm gonna some spices. I don't like eating plain food "chuckles'

Holmes" Yeah sure. But after this could you two clean up? I need to run an errand.

Nomi" Of course! Mr. Holmes.

Holmes" I'll be back to make lunch, come back if you want lunch!

Mr. Holmes then quickly went through the door, so fast that he forgot about his dog.

Danie" Mr. Holmes your pup!

Mr. Holmes didn't hear Danie.

Danie" Oh no... What are we gonna do with Dragon,"

Nomi" We can't bring him on our quest it'll be dangerous,"

Danie" Or can we? Since he can spit out fire he could be useful,"

Nomi" But how do we make him spit out fire? He only listens to Mr. Holmes right,"

Danie" Hmm... Good point! But still, we can't just leave him here,"

Nomi" Sighs" Let's just bring him. But let's clean first before we leave since Mr. Holmes said that.

They both started cleaning their dishes and swept the floor too. Then Nomi took a shower and changed clothes that Mr. Holmes left in the closet in the basement.

Nomi" Ah! Feels good to take a shower after a while.

Danie" Hehe good thing I don't need showers or change clothes anymore.

Nomi" You carry Dragon since I'm paying for lunch.

Danie" Fine!

Danie then holds Dragon in her hands and both went out to meet Suki Amaya before doing their quest.

Nomi" Hopefully Tanaka remembered to tell Suki that were gonna meet her.

Danie" If he doesn't we're gonna find him!

Then they both head to Dime's dining, while they're walking through the peaceful village.

They opened the door and the same table they meant Tanaka. They saw the girl who was described.

Nomi" Hello there! Are you Suki Amaya?

???" Yes, I am!

Suki" Tanaka told me about you looking for recruits! And yes I am Suki Amaya, but you can call me Suki,"

Nomi" Oh! hello, I'm Nomi Shimuzu,"

Suki" Sit down. Let's have a chat,"

Nomi pulls the chair back and sit's down next to Suki. They both weirdly stare at each other, maybe having a staring contest?

Danie" What are you two doing? Sighs.

Suki shockingly" Who was that?

Nomi" Oh. That's my friend Danie Fujii my power is spirit, so I can see and sense spirits. She died from an explosion in her village. And I found her spirit so were now travel buddies,"

Suki" Woah! That's so cool! Where is she right now?

Danie" I'm behind you.

Suki" Eek! This is gonna be creepy...

Danie" Don't worry I won't bite. And I don't harm people so. You better run!

Suki gets up from her chair

Danie" I'm just kidding. This will be so much fun scaring you.

Nomi" Okay~ that's enough you two. And why did want to join a party, Suki?

Suki" Well... I've always been alone when traveling or doing a quest. And my power isn't the best. If the weather or wind is bad, my power will be weaker or stronger,

And I've been struggling with fighting recently. That's my reason, So please let me into you're party! 'She says desperately,"

Nomi" Well I mean... you're our only option so you're in!
