Chapter 5: First Mission. (Part 3)

Ara Kumo's POV

"I'm Daryll. Nice to meet you, my child." he added while giving me a grin.

"T-this maniac is m-my Dad?!" I shockingly whispered in my mind.

"Ah, hehehehehe Uncle Sean... So he's my Father..?" I asked while scratching the side of my forehead and giving him an awkward smile.

"Hahahahaha..." Uncle Sean responded with an awkward laugh.

"No, ofcour--" Uncle Sean didn't continued his words when someone from the back speak.

"Papa." He said and walks to our direction slowly.

"Hmm? Who is he referring to?" I confusedly ask to my head.

"I have no idea that I have a sister." He added while looking at me.

"Well, to be honest. She is not your sister, she is the daughter of your Father's friend." Uncle Sean said and smiled at me.

"Oh? Is that so?" He said then walked away.

"Who is that kid?" Uncle Sean asked and looks at Mr. Daryll.

"My Kid, Kire." Mr. Daryll said.

"So, that's Kire? He's already a grown up." Uncle Sean responded.

"Uhummm." Mr. Daryll sounded.

"Anyways, let's talk inside." He said and walk.

"Hmm, then why did he call me his child if I'm not his child?" I asked to my head while walking.

After walking, we entered the door of this house and I can see that Kire kid sitting on a long sofa while reading a book. I sat down next to him and he backed away a little.

"I'm not stinking. Tch." I whispered in my head and rolled my eyes.

After Uncle Sean sat down, Mr. Daryll get a paper from the box that is next to him and open it on the table.

"So, 10 o'clock from the south to here, that's where you will start the mission that assigned to you." He started.

"In that location, there is a small village where you can see that vip's chariot that is surrounded by a guards. It's so easy to see because that's the only thing that is surrounded by peoples. They will probably assign some assassins for the look out too. So you guys need to run from the highest place on which you can still see the vip's chariot. He explained and roll the paper which I can tell, a map. He gave it to Uncle Sean and Uncle Sean put it on his backpack.

"Also, if a clash started unexpectedly, kill all the people that will get in the way. If the vip intended to fight then you guys will have no choice." He added.

"But we're only suppose to tail them, right?" I asked while looking at Mr. Daryll.

"Well, yeah. But people shouldn't get in our way for us to be able to do our real mission." He said then smiles at me.

"Anyways, there'll be another person that will join you." He added and looks at the kid beside me.

"Tch. What a bother." He said while still looking at his book.

"Oh? So your little one will join us too?" Uncle Sean said while smiling.

"Yes!" He proudly said.

"But looks like he doesn't want to come." Uncle Sean said in a crossed arm.

"Even though he doesn't want to come, he needs to. He's already 5 years old and still not in the assassin's school." Mr. Daryll said in a serious tone.

"Eh this kid is already 5 and still not in that school? He mush be weak. What a pity." I said then shakes my head.

"Then the late zodiac pillar's son is weak?" Uncle Sean said while confusedly looking at the kid.

"I'm not weak, it's just..." the kid said and put his book in our middle.

"He's not able to control his techniques due to his weak stamina." Mr. Daryll said and sigh.

"He can make strong techniques but his body can't handle it." Mr. Daryll added.

"That's pretty bad..." Uncle Sean said while touching his chin.

"Anyways, Kire, join them." Mr. Daryll said and walks toward his son's location.

"Fine. Fine." He said then stands up.

"Good, but don't push yourself, okay?" Mr. Daryll said and pat his shoulder.

"And you." He said and looks at me.

"Don't push yourself too." He added and smiles at me.

"I know, Mister." I said and stands up.

"Aw, you shouldn't call me Mister. I prefer Uncle, but much better if Father." He said while laughing and give me a wink.

"Gee. Disgusting." I whispered to my head and shakes my head.

"Anyways, let's now bid our goodbyes so that you guys can go there at noon tomorrow." He said to change the topic.

"You mission will start in 2 days, so, you guys need to find a perfect inn to stay." He added and walk to the door.

I get my bag to Uncle Sean and wear it, but I saw Uncle Daryll's son not carrying any bag but carry his book.

"Hey!" I said and run beside him, he didn't look at me which make me mad, but I keep my cool.

"That book seems important to you, want me to put it in may bag so that it won't get lost or something?" I said and smiles at him. He gave his book at me and I put it on my bag.

"Protect that book at all cost. It's so important to me." He said while looking at me and walked away.

"Tch, I know. I know." I whispered to my head then run in the door. I saw Uncle Sean, Uncle Daryll and his son outside waiting at me so I quickly run towards them.

"It's already 10:00 a.m. the three of you better hurry so that you can come in that village earlier than the estimated time and you better not forget your real mission, Sean." Uncle Daryll said and smile.

"Real mission?" I asked in my head and look at Uncle Daryll.

"Then we'll go now." Uncle Sean said then walk.

Me and Uncle Daryll's son follow Uncle Sean so that we're not going to be left behind.

We're currently running in the woods but Uncle Sean stopped. It's been 2 hours since we left that house, why did Uncle Sean stopped?

"Why Uncle Sean?" I asked.

He smiled at me and look at Uncle Daryll's son.

"Hey, are you still fine?" He asked.

"Y-yes." Uncle Daryll's son said.

He obviously look bad.

"Well, yea. We should stop first." I said while looking at the sky.

"I said that I'm fine." He said while giving me a sharp look.

"You obviously not. Also, I'm already hungry, so..." I said then find a place to eat

"Come here, both of you." I said then put my bag beside the tree. I sat down and place my back in the tree.

Each of them sat on the trees that is near mine and place their backs on it too. I pick my bento out of my bag and open it.

"Ahh, I missed Mom." I said in my head and starts eating.

I'm in the middle of enjoying my food when I saw Uncle Daryll's son on my peripheral view not eating and hugging his knees only. I walked towards him and sat in front of him.

"Hey, you don't have food with you, right?" I said while looking at him.

"Isn't it obvious? Tch." He said and rolled his eyes.

"Ahh, this guy! I just want to be good at him. Tch." I said to my head while smiling. Ofcourse I need to keep my cool.

"Are you hungry?" I asked.

"No." He said while hugging his knees.

"Did you know? God gifted us a tounge to speak the truth but you're only using yours to lie. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." I said and hand him my bento while shaking my head.

"Tch." He sounded then looks away.

I get his arm and press it to open his palm and place my bento on it.

"There, eat." I said then smiles at him.

He rolled his eyes on me and give my chopsticks back.

"Use that or you'll use your hand." I said and push his hands.

"Don't worry, I don't have any contagious disease. Hahahaha." I added then laugh.

"Well, can't blame him, it's a personal thing." I said to my head.

He started to eat and I go back to my bag to get my water.

I started to drink the water and go to Uncle Sean's area to look at the map.

"Uncle." I started.

"Yes?" He said while giving me a wide smile.

"What?" I annoyingly asked.

"Hehehe." He responded.

"Tch. Anyways, can I take a look on the map?" I asked.

He get it from his bag and give it to me. I slowly opened it and place on the floor.

"I guess, my niece is actually not a kid anymore." He said while slightly laughing and whistles.

I faced him and rolled my eyes on him.

"Stop your delusional thoughts and tell me where are we already." I said and stands up while holding the map.

"Here." He said and point at the map.

"There's still a long way to go." I said and roll the map again.

"Here." I added and give the map to him.

I started to walk and go to the location of Uncle Daryll's son.

When I reached his location I saw that he's already done eating my bento so I handed my water bottle to him.

"Drink, but don't drink everything we're still far at the village and the other lake is 70 meters away." I said and smile.

He drinks it and shake it for me to see that he didn't consume it all and gave it back to me.

"Thanks." I said and covered my water bottle.

I sat in front of him and he put his chin on his knuckles then looks at me.

"What?" He said while giving me a boring look.

"Ahmm, I just wanna ask something..." I said while scratching my right cheek.

"Gee. This position is so awkward." I said to my head.

"I'm Kire." He said while keeping his position.

"Ahm, that's not it." I said while still scratching my right cheek.

"Then?" He asked.

"Do you know what the zodiac pillars are?" I responded.

"Them?" He asked.

I nod and he crossed his arms and closed his eyes.

"They are the strongest assassins in the country. Each rank determines their ability, my Father became a pillar because he's so suitable on fighting underwater. He was once called "Dancing Fishes" because everytime he fight underwater his move and attacks are synchronizing with the underwater creatures. He's the Pisces." He said calmly.

"Then what if you're strong but your ability is none of the zodiacs?" I asked.

"Nope, all of the zodiac's ability are taught in that assassin's school, but ofcourse you will first test yourself if what zodiac abilities are you capable." He responded.

"Oh..." I sounded.

"Anything?" He said in a closed eyes.

"Nothing." I said then smiled.

"Then, let me ask you a question." He said after opening his eyes but still keeping his crossed arms position.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Who are you?" He asked with his forehead wrinkled.

"This guy is actually pissing me off." I said in my head while smiling.

"Ah? I'm Ara Kumo Evans, I'm 3 years old." I said while smiling.

"Is this your first mission?" He asked while keeping his expression and position.

"Ah ye--" I didn't finished my word when he suddenly join me.

"Obviously." He said.

"When I'm in your age, I already killed 6 people, y'know?" He proudly said and closed his eyes.

"Gee. As if I care, I was abroad the whole time that's why I have no time to kill someone and only train! Gee." I annoyingly shouted on my head.

"Hahahaha. Enough of that, that girl is on abroad her whole life that's why she didn't do the things that you do." Uncle Sean said while smiling and looking at me.

"That's pretty understandable." He said and smiles.

"Tch." I said on my head and looked away.

"Anyways, we need to move now. That's a pretty long break and I guess that you guys have enough strength yo continue this mission again." Uncle Sean said and we all prepare for the long run.
