*G**ender Inequality - A Taboo*

Gender Inequality is a part of our society. Since old age, people always thought that girls are burden on them, due to that, they either aborted the baby girl or kill the her after she's born or give the her to the orphanage.

They are the most crucial part. without them, men are nothing. They say "Behind every successful man, there's always a woman." it's true. Without woman in this world there can be no men. Killing girls means loosing a precious gem.

Gender Inequality is now stopped in most of the places but still some old thinking still believe that investing on a girl is waste. There's no one to teach them the importance of them. Girls are no less than men in any sector today, and that's bcz of people who encouraged girls to go out of their houses and fight for their right.

If only men don't think that girls should not grow stronger than them, then everyone in this world can be treated equally. Showing their physical power on girls, does not prove that they are everyone and we are nothing.

When they truly learn the importance of girls, only them we'll be able to live a happy, peaceful and simple life with no restrictions of same restrictions as men.

Gender inequality

There have been tremendous advances in the elimination of gender inequities around the world, but various challenges remain. Female labour force participation has been rising in many regions; female literacy has been increasing, rapidly in some places; gender gaps in education have been shrinking worldwide but challenges remain, particularly in low-income and developing economies. Regardless of one’s socioeconomic class, there are systematic gender differences in material well-being, although the degree of inequality varies across countries and over time.

Gender inequality is not perpetuated exclusively through differential access to and control over material resources. Gender norms and stereotypes reinforce gendered identities and constrain the behaviour of women and men in ways that lead to inequality (Ridgeway, 2011). We therefore also explore trends in some key indicators of gender inequality in norms, using data from four waves of the World Values Survey. Gender inequality in livelihoods can contribute to inequality in other domains (Collins et al., 1993; Seguino, 2013b). Women’s lower incomes and more limited access to other resources required to secure a livelihood such as land, credit and assets reduce bargaining power within households. Gender inequality is not a new phenomenon. It has instead been a ubiquitous characteristic of societies in evidence for millennia, though to varying degrees across countries and over time. Nevertheless, the emergence of a human rights agenda in the mid-20th century and women’s movements across the world since the 1960s has contributed to increased global attention to this form of inequality. Here, too, research shows that some forms of gender inequality can slow economic growth and development. In other words, in addition to the negative effects of gender stratification on women’s relative capabilities and well-being more generally, there are societal costs to continued gender inequality

Gender inequality

"Boys wear blue, girls wear pink.

They shouldn't be equal, but that's what you think.

I just like blue, what do you mean why?

It doesn't mean I'm a boy, I just don't cry.

I don't need my prince to save me from up the tower.

A queen without her king only means she has the power.

My son can never cry, because he's a boy.

But let me tell you he's a human, not a robot or a toy!

Do that and don't do this! That's what all girls hear.

We're not that weak, spiders are not girls' fear.

Dont go there alone, take your brother with you.

I get hurt, so does he. Don't you care about him, too?

Boys wear blue, girls wear pink.

They shouldn't be equal, but that's what you think.

Sadly the world didn't understand,

Nor did it hear clearly before hand.

And I wish this could be changed,

And rules can be rearranged.

We are here together.

So, we need to live it better."

women are not weak.

Gender Inequality

Gender inequality...A topic that many people can speak for several hours but to be honest my mind is blank...almost all of us must have faced it atleast once, Gender inequality is a issue that has great impact on both sexes but It us doubtless that women suffer a lot more than males, women consistently earn less than men, and the gap is wider for most women of colour, some of the most visible examples of gender inequality and discrimination comes from “Me Too” stories, How women are being harassed and abused by men who have more power over them, In many parts of the world women are told at a young age not to wear revealing clothes as to not "attract" men, I think it's completely useless and senseless, don't men get sexually assaulted or raped then why the society is ok with whatever they wear, why aren't they stopped? The society still think women are weak, There are still jobs which don't allow women like Polishing glass in Argentina or Mining or driving trucks, Indian army still has only 4% women, while a women-contingent marching at the republic day parade is a sign of the strides women are making, will the Army ever be an equal place for women? Throughout the history, women always need to prove themselves that they are not weak as the society think they are, you've begun to raise your daughters more like son but few have the courage to raise sons more like daughters, gender equality is a human fight not a female figh, regardless of what's between your legs, you should be taken at face value and treated with given respect.

Gender inequality : a taboo

Their are over 1000's of species on earth, but humans are said to be most precious one .. Why ? Is it because we have capiblity to think ? Humans are considered to be the smartest among other Living beings. But sometimes I have doubt on this.. If humans are the smartest then why do they difference in genders ? Humans clasiffy themselves into Male, female, lesbians, gays, etc. Well it's common to classify but when it comes to rights they all should be treated equally. Do difference on their gender makes them different from each other ? Scientifically yes, in my p.o.v no .

Females can do the same things which men's can do and so gays and lesbians. Do difference in their gender makes their talents low or high ?

No, am I right ? Then why are the treated differently ? In my opinion Males, females, lesbians, and gays deserves same treatment. And if you think that others don't deserve the same treatments, then I guess you should change your way of thinking. We should be the first to change and then we should change the world. And I'm sure that if we started treating them equally, world will change one day. It's just a small essay or short note of what I think, I am not sure but it may change your way of thinking. Thanks
