A Caring Man

Rex and Beijinglia's interaction made Kirwi jealous, but she knows that he is not going to do anything 'Jaw dropping thing'.

"Don't force yourself, you are not fully healed. You need some rest." Rex said softly to her.

Taking in his sincerity, She stopped thinking and became normal.

Rex then asked her, making eye contact with her, "So, How are you feeling now? Are you good?"

No matter how much she tries to sense his intent, his words always makes her trust him even though they both don't know each other yet. It felt like his voice was hypnotizing her.

However, Beijinglia was too weak ask anything. So she said, "... I think about useless things a lot. Well, thanks for asking though. I'm fine. But, can you tell me that where I am now?"

She asked Rex with seriousness in her voice, for she didn't want to be fooled with any of their words.

Rex, who knew her wariness, replied with a smile, "Yes, you are in the Tiger Valley now; in our Central Town."

But, after hearing him she didn't respond. However, she got too amazed and said, "Tiger..... Valley? Central Town? You mean I'm really here, in Tiger Valley?!"

"Yes. I can tell that you are in our Temple, all safe." Kirwi said nicely.

She stared at Kirwi and asked, holding her hands, "Really? Are you serious?"

Kirwi was too stunned with her actions. But, Beijinglia's puppy face was making her lose her mind. She replied with a blushed face, "Yeah, ah.... Am.... I-I don't think that... I am lying. You're in here."

"Thank you. I am so grateful that I reached here." She said with gladness.

Rex couldn't find any reason for her overwhelming excitement. He then asked, "Well, don't mind me, but I'd like to know your name."

"My name? Sure, nice to meet you all, I am Beijinglia."

Hearing this, the three were amazed.

Sho said, "(Doubts) You have a nice name. However, I've a doubt about it. Please don't mind my words." 

^^^It was Beijinglia, whom they found bruised and bloodied.^^^

After a pause of 2 minutes, she asked, "Doubt? What is that?"

Rex, Sho and Kirwi doubted her when she said her name, it is because it spells 'Beijing-lia'; clearly indicating the 'Beijing Town'. They don't want to make her feel bad, so they hesitated to speak. But, Beijinglia couldn't understand what's wrong with them.

Finally, Rex asked her, "I can guess that it is your real name, isn't it? 'Cause it's alerting me. I don't think it can indicate you as from Beijing Town, right?"

Now it's getting hard for Beijinglia to get that entire thing digested. She asked him, trembling, "Am... I'm so sorry to say, but I won't get it. What's wrong with Beijing Town here? Besides, Beijinglia is my real name."

"What? You don't know that? I think you are all new to get that. Fine, I'll explain you. But tell me one thing." Rex said with some boldness.

"What, you want to know?'

"Are you known to the history of Beijing Town's great battle, The War?" Rex asked her.

"Yeah, I know it all." She said with some confidence.

"If it is, then you would know what happened to Tiger Valley; It has been disappeared from the world and moved to the new dimension; all that to stop Beijing Town members to not come here, and we all hate them too." He said with his fiery glare, indicating his anger to Beijinglia which scared her.

"....Why do you doubt us on such topics?" She asked with fear.

He replied, "Why? If I'd know you as a Beijing Town member, you'll be thrown away simply." This made Beijinglia afraid of them, especially — Rex. He's dangerous.

She covered her mouth with both of her hands. She just thought- "Really. It is? I was unknown! Oh no, Am I really going to get that as a punishment? What would be happen with me if I lied?! ........ No, I can't do this anymore with them, they have helped me. But.... if I'd just say them directly that I'm from Beijing Town, I'll be no more! God, what I reply I don't know? I have to do something!"

Poor Beijinglia, but it is not what she had just thought. It is more than that. In this temple, no doubt that Master Lee can read anyone's mind through his inner senses, but the biggest shock is that – Rex, the closest disciple of Master Lee, also has the ability to read minds. The irony is that —

Rex started to suspect her with some doubt, and keenly stared at her.

Beijinglia was all sucked up at his rough stare.

"Why are you staring me continuously? I'm not your enemy!!" Beijinglia thought, looking at Rex.

"Don't think that I'm concerned about you. I should have understood by your name what the matter is." Rex said.

Beijinglia asked, "What are you talking about?" She was getting tensed.

Rex didn't reply her but told Kirwi and Sho to come with him to Master Lee, and they went.

Beijinglia was then left to question her existence.

She said to herself, "Are they really humans or what? Real Montara Trainers are so tough? I'm getting no good vibes from this man! This guy's really trying to eliminate me!"

...(In the cultivation room)...

"Master, that's not good I think." Rex said, being worried to Master Lee.

He continued, "It's good enough for her to let her rest, but she's from Beijing Town!"

"Son, I do agree with you; but I am bounded by a pact that was made between me and Master Xiao."

Rex doubted. He said, "What?"

But Sho said to Master Lee, "What's that Master? Why a Beijing Town member?"

"Children, you all do not understand my real reason." Master tried to convince them.

"So you are allowing her to live, Master?" Rex asked in Temper. They all three were in doubt. But Master exclaimed them to stop now.

He said, "I've already told you about someone's arrival. Master Xiao told me that he is taking care of a girl financially after her father died. And the girl you have in here is her only. Her name is Beijinglia Xiao."

They were shocked to hear those words.

Rex asked, "So, Master Xiao was talking about her......but isn't she's from Beijing Town; that hell?"

And Master replied, "Master Xiao is not such a man to get fond of any person without any means. There are some reasons he loves her and her family, and want all their safety. I have never seen him requesting that deeply for someone. He was requesting me for Beijinglia to...... train her."

Stunned by this, Rex, Kirwi and Sho haven't imagined it to be this serious.

Master continued, "Don't get too shocked like that. Rex met with her mother when he was just seven years old. Her name is Anza. My brother's grandson, Aki married her and had Beijinglia. All he wanted for her to become a Montara Trainer. Master Xiao has just tried his well to complete half of her training, but he can't continue it further I guess."

..."(Darkened eyes) So, you are letting her become a Montara Trainer?" Rex asked....

"Montara Trainer? Don't decide the outcomes hurriedly. Let her live here until she gets healed. Make sure that she may not get hurt, emotionally and mentally. But I'd love to hear everything from her mouth."

"I am giving you, Kirwi and Sho a work; keep your eyes upon the girl and tell me everything what she knows and says to you all three. Well, I may guess she is somehow different. Rex, you go and talk to her for more time, and don't let your anger out upon her."

Rex understood that Master is known to all of that, and he went.

He and Master Lee are just like a family even though not bound by blood.

Through Master Lee's words, Rex get that Beijinglia is someone special. But he was in rage because he doubted her being a spy from Dark Eights or something.

This situation was familiar — Like, how an unknown creature comes in a different territory of animals who are same in species but can't become a family member.

He thought, "How come I'd suspect that girl so early to be one of 'them'? I should not conclude anything else until I get to know everything about her."

Later, Sho asked, "Master, it's too much. You can easily find information about her. Why'd you give us this task? Are you afraid of something, Master?"

"I am not afraid. As I said, let her be here until she gets healed. Then, we can decide her outcome." Master said.

And they both too agreed.

Here, Master Lee doesn't want them to understand Beijinglia as just a 'different girl'. She is more than that.

..."I've literally misunderstood this girl."...

(In Master Lee's room)

Meanwhile, Beijinglia was getting anxious about what they're discussing.

"I don't know what this is all about; will they, leave me back to where I come...? (Sighs) If I knew this will happen, I would've never......."

The door of the room gets opened. Beijinglia looked and found that it was him — Rex.

She asked with some fear, "Wh...why are you, here again?"

She broke her eye contact with him and said, "Have you decided, on getting rid of me?"

Rex then came to her and said, "(Guilty) I am so sorry, Beijinglia (She looked at him). If I had known that you were here because of Master Xiao, I wouldn't have been that rude to you. Please forgive me."

"Forgive...?"

"... And, we aren't getting rid of you. Please don't think like that. Master Lee has allowed you to stay until you get healed." Rex said.

He got her full attention with his words. Then, she asked, "But, I'm from Beijing Town, whom 'you all hate', right?"

Rex replied, "Despite it, you're here due to Master Xiao's request. We can't deny that."

His words felt genuine to her, so she forgave him.

After a few minutes, she asks, "(Changes the topic) Well..... Is that really true? .....You know about him? My Master Xiao?"

"Yeah. He usually comes to meet with us." Rex answered politely. "Our Master also told us that anyone is coming here as a guest, but we were unknown that it was you." he added.

Beijinglia said, "Am.... it's fine. I get that. Well, did he convince master lee, for me?"

..."Master Lee? When did she meet him? As I guessed...she came prepared." Rex thought....

Beijinglia again felt uneven with his silence. She said, "You can doubt me as much as you want. but please understand, I don't harbour any ill intentions. I'm at mercy and I'll not attain profit with any bad thoughts. Anyways, I know your Master is Master Lee. My Master Xiao for sure had come to convince him for my training."

"I can, think that. However, I wasn't present during their conversation. So, I'm not sure about it." Rex said.

"Okay." Beijinglia said and stood silent for sometimes.

But Rex watched her for a while and felt bad for her current condition. He was taken a back to even imagine someone harming her.

"Beijinglia" Rex said softly and she again started to look at him. She said, "Yes."

After a while, Rex asked, "Can you, tell me about the guy who did this all to you?"

Beijinglia get amazed.

She said trembling, "Am... I... I think that guy was a horse rider (Rex stared at her, attentively). I don't know much about him. I couldn't see his face as he had worn a hat and a mask. But he did offered me his help to come here. He, looked kinda familiar to me but I can't remember. I can only say that his eye color was purple."

^^^She knows him already but her voice indicates a little fear towards him.^^^

"A horse rider with purple eyes; how's that?" Rex said, with doubt.

"Yeah; I don't know much, but it was just as light of dawn and much brighter with some hues of Darkness in the night." She replied.

Her words confused him.

"(Awkward) Sorry, I think it got complicated. (laughs awkwardly) Well, I can make many interesting sentences while writing any stories on literature."

"...It was not that complicated. I doubted you because you have said 'hues of darkness', you know what does it mean?" Rex asked.

"No, those words just came in my mind. I am just a human, though." She said flatly.

Rex now understood that they've no any danger from Beijinglia. He was thinking that if she were from Dark Eight's, she would know about Euron's (This will be explained in the upcoming chapters), who has the dark powers, but she knows nothing, thank God.

Despite it, they've to reveal everything to her, one day.

"What happened? What's wrong?" Beijinglia asked. But Rex gives her a smile and said, being polite, "Nothing........ It's so nice to meet you, Beijinglia. Forgive me for introducing myself so late — I am Rex Ventaero. I just hope you are not angry with me."

"Nope, not an inch I'm angry with you (She smiled). You are a good person. But, I have to ask for your forgiveness. I ruined your friends' day." She said sadly.

"No, please don't, you haven't done anything. Master has allowed you to live here, that's more than a luxury. We all have to obey him though. Well, your life in Beijing Town will become paused for sometimes too, I guess. But you should focus on your recovery." Rex said with some concern.

"I'm fine with it. Holidays are soon, and I have no problem if I miss my classes.... (Sad) I am, the only daughter in my family and I have to keep my word before them. I can't deny my future like that easily." She said, recalling her past.

"Your future is not going to be spoiled, don't worry. Well, you'll get nothing on thinking of the past. We are all here." He said with some care. Beijinglia get amazed. Did she have just listened 'We are all here' from Rex? He asked, "What happened Beijinglia; why you look so amazed?"

"...Like that. Will you all really take care of me?" She sounds so soft. Rex really got glad with it.

"... Yes, no doubt. We will help you. You know what, master is so concerned about you that he even scolded us for being rude to you. And, who are we to deny you? We are just here to help everyone, right?" He said softly.

"Right..... You all are so caring I think." She said politely.

"Yes we are." He said. Rex sounds so sweet. Beijinglia is so grateful to him and all of those here. But she was feeling an undefined feeling inside her heart. She asked, "Rex.... You're really observant. You guessed my native town just by my name. Is that something like... your power?"

"(He smiles) No, it was just easy to guess. Anyone can understand."

"But not everyone."

"Yes, you're right. Not everyone can guess anyone's hometown. In actual, I have just read your mind." He said.

"Wai-what— Seriously, Rex. You've just read my mind?!" Beijinglia was amazed.

"Yes. You can say it's my ability. This helps me to understand everyone." He said.

"Mind-reading.... sounds great but scary. I think you're not disturbed by everyone's thoughts."

"It's not like what you are saying. I can only listen to those who are near me or around."

"Fine. But Rex, I..... I have a doubt." She said in shy.

"What's that?" He asked.

"Ah.... don't mind my words; but, you are a.....Good looking guy...........Ever a girl has tried to fall for you? Sorry that how stupid question I have asked you." She asked this and her cheeks get slightly pink in colour.

"That was over stupid. Well, don't mind me too, but every girl does try it. (Beijinglia looked at him surprised) And, I don't like it really. I never give them any opportunity for anything and ignore them normally, because I have my interest in my training, not in them." He said.

"Workaholic... That's nice." She said.

"(Curious) But, ever this has happened to you that any guy has tried to fall for you?" He asked with a smirk.

"That... That's a kinda straightforward question. Well, they do for I'm popular among my peers. But, I don't have anyone, and I am fine with my life, my family and my friends.......... Well, I am a girl who has lost her father. I guess that Master has also told about it." She said.

"Yeah, and... that's sad. But, you've your mother. (Looks outside) There are many children in this world who are happy with their lives despite being orphan."

Sadness was evident in his eyes and smile. Beijinglia said, "...This world is cruel for those unfortunate children. You have a good heart to think of them. You may have tried to help them."

But Rex said, "... I want to help every one of those poor and needy. Can I, tell you why? Because... I'm an orphan too." He said with a sad look. Beijinglia was stunned. She felt sad for him, but was shocked when she listened to him.

"I... I can't imagine how you're living..." She said in shock."

"... Well, I just need to forget their death." Rex said, feeling bitter.

"(Apologetic).... Forgo the past! Sorry for reviving your bad memories!" Beijinglia said.

"Don't worry. It's okay now. Talking about my parents actually loosen my sorrow. You know what, it was really hard for me to convince my father to let me be a Montara Fighter. My father anyhow agreed to send me here for my training, and I was just 6 at that time. My mom and Dad died when I was just 10."

"... Was it, same for your mother too?"

"No, but it did make her worried about me all the time. So, my parents always visited during my starts. They weren't agreed for my Montara Training, but after they met with Master Lee, everything changed. And today here I am. It was important for me to take this opportunity to make my own future. I don't have many friends, (he smiled) but then I remember that I have them here."

He continued, "I may be an orphan but I don't regret it. Tears do make me weak but, I am not that weak to cry anymore."

Beijinglia was impressed with his positivity. "You are so motivated. Always remain stick to it." She said.

"Yes I'll, thank you." Rex said.

"You're welcome." Beijinglia said.

She can lift others minds too, but she got amazed when she found that Rex thinks the same as she does. She also wants to make her future; but has to wait until she gets healed.

Rex said, "Well, I'd like to know your real reason for coming here, Beijinglia. This place is much enough to risk anyone's life. So, why you're here?"

Beijinglia gets so tensed that what she may answer him. But he said, "Don't be nervous, just speak to me. I'll not be angry with you again. I think you've said, that you want to make your future, right?"

"Yes................ I want to fulfill my father's dream, that's all I can say for now. Please don't doubt me. I am not strange." Beijinglia said.

Rex understands that she is fearing something. Thus, he decides to try asking later. This time, she needs rest.

A cool breeze started to flow. Making Beijinglia feel cold. Rex asked, "Beijinglia, are you okay?"

"Yeah, but I feel cold." She answered.

Rex understands that it will be more severe if she won't get inside. This place is open.

She was still on her place but suddenly felt that anyone has picked her up in arms. She doubted; but found that it was Rex.

She was shocked — Her eyes widened with amazement. Rex asked softly, "Want to come in my room?"

"..Wha— What? Are you sure?"

"It's near to this place, so I said."

Her face becomes red, but she replied, in a low voice, "... Ok — Okay."

She was looking at him while their way, but asked, "But Rex, I am fine. I can walk. Can you please put me down?"

"I don't want to take risk. I know you can, but you'll get hurt if you put more pressure on your feet. So please, try to understand. And don't think that I am being so protective to you." He said.

She was unable to maintain her eye contact with him and blushed again. She tried to control herself but her body started to heat up.

Beijinglia's POV

...I messed up awfully this time!...

Seriously this guy is being so worried about me, but is so gentle. Why I feel so relaxed within his arms? Why this feeling is coming to me ? I don't know. I am just trying to not think anything or he'll read my mind.

I can't make eye contact with him. This makes me blush every time. He is so built and handsome, no guess. Now I understand why girls can't resist him. This will be so stupid if I had denied him and lied that I'm not from Beijing Town. I have no option to lie in front of him. For the first time I am with any guy, so near. Don't know why I am feeling good with him.

...I closed my eyes....

Rex found that she has closed her eyes.

Later, He reached the room and entered inside. She then opened her eyes and found that room was too big and styled traditionally. She likes the room.

He laid Beijinglia on the bed.

"I hope you aren't hurt with that lift." Rex said.

"No, I am fine. Besides, I like this room. I guess here are more beautiful room than this." She said.

"Yes, but you have to rest for now, or you'll not recover. Well, I have to go now. Master has called me. I'll talk to you later." Rex said.

He tried to go, but suddenly he felt that anyone has held his hand. He turned around and found that it was Beijinglia. He asked, "Why have you held my hand?"

And her reply made him amazed — She requested him to be with her for more time. Her eyes was getting heavy. So, for her wellness, he thought it's appropriate to stay with her for a while until she gets asleep.

"I think she wants me to be with her for a while. .......................... But still................ Who can be that guy with purple eyes, that attacked her violently."
